The chilling tone in Dugu Bo's voice reminded Lin Yongming of the man's unpredictable nature in the original story. Dugu Bo was a character who walked the line between good and evil, his temperament as volatile as the poisons he wielded. There were even moments when he had been tempted to kill Tang San.

"Haha... Senior Dugu, you're just worried that we might reveal your secret—that you're being corroded by your own poison, right?" Lin Yongming said with a faint smile.

"You may be blind, but your mind is sharp. Just from observing me earlier, you've figured out my condition. Tell me, should I let you off so easily?" Dugu Bo replied slowly, his voice cold.

"Your green hair and eyes are a dead giveaway to anyone with even a basic understanding of poisons. The only reason you've survived this long is because of your strength as a Soul Douluo, suppressing the poison. But I'm guessing the backlash is getting worse, isn't it? The pain and itching must be unbearable when it flares up," the Blue Silver Emperor said, her tone laced with a hint of frost.

"Oh? You're quite knowledgeable. I underestimated you. Indeed, for two youngsters to be cultivating in a place filled with such unique spiritual energy, your talents must be extraordinary," Dugu Bo admitted, surprising Lin Yongming.

Lin Yongming hadn't expected Dugu Bo to acknowledge his condition so readily. Perhaps it was because they had witnessed his poison flaring up earlier, leaving him no room to deny it.

"Just a passing interest in these matters," the Blue Silver Emperor replied nonchalantly.

"Are you from the Po Clan, a subsidiary of the Clear Sky Sect? The only people I know with such deep knowledge of poisons are from the Po Clan, especially their leader," Dugu Bo said, scrutinizing the Blue Silver Emperor.

"The Po Clan?" the Blue Silver Emperor asked, puzzled. "I've never heard of them. But isn't it possible for others to have such knowledge?"

"Fair point. In that case, do you have a solution for the poison in my body?" Dugu Bo asked, his interest piqued.

"What if I told you I have a hundred ways to cure your poison? Would you believe me?" the Blue Silver Emperor countered.

"Hmph! Are you mocking me?" Dugu Bo's tone turned icy.

"We've just met. Even if I knew how to cure you, why would I tell you?" she replied indifferently.

"Aren't you afraid I'll poison your little lover right now?" Dugu Bo threatened.

"Senior Dugu, I don't appreciate such threats. If you were in peak condition, we might be wary. But given your current state, with your poison flaring up and your soul power not fully recovered, do you really think we're afraid of you?" Lin Yongming said calmly.

"Haha... Arrogant brat! Even in my weakened state, do you think I'd fear two youngsters like you?" Dugu Bo laughed coldly, his green eyes glinting like a venomous snake's as he stared them down.

He then released his soul rings—two yellow, two purple, and four black—the optimal configuration for a Soul Douluo. A powerful aura pressed down on Lin Yongming and the Blue Silver Emperor.

"An 89th-ranked Soul Douluo!" the Blue Silver Emperor exclaimed in surprise. Lin Yongming, however, had anticipated this. He remembered from the original story that Dugu Bo had reached the Titled Douluo level after discovering the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, which helped him suppress his poison.

For ordinary people, cultivating in the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well would be torturous, as the extreme energies would corrode their bodies. But for a poison master like Dugu Bo, it was a treasure trove.

"Senior Dugu, your strength is impressive. But in your current state, I don't think you pose much of a threat to us," Lin Yongming said, releasing his own soul power and soul rings to counter Dugu Bo's pressure.

"That's right. Your soul power is only at about 30% of its full capacity," the Blue Silver Emperor added, also releasing her power to resist Dugu Bo's aura.

"Hmm? A 40th-ranked Soul Elder with an exceptionally solid foundation, and a 56th-ranked Soul King. You two are barely twenty years old, yet you've reached such heights. Impressive," Dugu Bo said, slightly taken aback.

"Since you claim to know about poisons, let's test your mettle. If either of you can withstand two of my poisons, I'll let you go. But you must keep my secret. If I ever hear a whisper of it, don't blame me for being merciless," Dugu Bo said slowly.

"Who will face my poisons?"

"I'll take on your poison!" Lin Yongming stepped forward without hesitation. While Dugu Bo's poisons were formidable, they couldn't compare to the extreme cold and heat of the Octagonal Ice Crystal and the Fire Yang Blossom.

The Blue Silver Emperor knew this as well, so she didn't stop him.

"Xiao Ming, go for it! Show him how weak his poison is," she said, almost tauntingly.

"These two are far too confident!" Dugu Bo thought, slightly taken aback by their boldness. "Hmph! I refuse to believe two youngsters can truly withstand my poisons. I am the continent's greatest poison master!"

"Very well. Here it comes," Dugu Bo said, raising his right hand and releasing a cloud of dark green poison toward Lin Yongming.

"Let's see you handle this!" Dugu Bo thought coldly.

Lin Yongming was caught off guard by Dugu Bo's sudden attack. He immediately felt a cold, numbing sensation enveloping him. But compared to the extreme cold of the Octagonal Ice Crystal, this was nothing.

Within minutes, the poison was absorbed into Lin Yongming's body, where the medicinal properties of the two immortal herbs neutralized it, turning it into nourishment.

"Senior Dugu, it seems I've come out on top," Lin Yongming said with a relaxed smile.

"Impossible! Even if you could resist my poison, it shouldn't be this easy!" Dugu Bo exclaimed, his confidence shaken. His poisons were his pride, and now a nameless youngster had effortlessly countered them.

"Haha... Xiao Ming, well done! I told you his poison was garbage," the Blue Silver Emperor said, not holding back her mockery.

"Senior Dugu, shall we continue?" Lin Yongming asked with a faint smile.

"Fine. It seems I'll have to bring out something more potent," Dugu Bo said, his expression darkening. He then summoned a small, emerald-green snake that coiled around his arm. The snake had nine distinct segments on its body.

"Oh? A Nine-Segmented Emerald Snake!" the Blue Silver Emperor exclaimed, recognizing the creature.

"You've got a good eye. This is my pet, one of the most venomous snakes in existence. A single bite can reduce a person to a puddle of pus within moments. If you can withstand its venom, I'll admit defeat and promise to do one thing for you, within reason," Dugu Bo said with a cold smile.

"Xiao Ming, this snake's venom is twice as potent as the Jade Phosphor Serpent's poison. Maybe I should take this one," the Blue Silver Emperor whispered, stepping forward and grabbing Lin Yongming's arm.

"No, A'yin. Even if it's stronger, it still can't compare to the extreme toxins of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. And if I really can't handle it, you'll be here to help me," Lin Yongming replied softly.

"Alright, but don't push yourself," she said, nodding. Then, turning to Dugu Bo, she added, "Since your pet's venom is so potent, can I at least give Xiao Ming a support skill?"

"Go ahead. Use whatever means you have. If you can withstand the Nine-Segmented Emerald Snake's venom, I'll concede," Dugu Bo agreed.

"Second Soul Skill, Blue Silver's Protection!" the Blue Silver Emperor cast the skill on Lin Yongming.

"Xiao Ming, thanks to my spirit, this skill now boosts your resistance by 40%. Be careful," she said.

"Got it," Lin Yongming replied, stepping forward. "Senior Dugu, I'm ready. Bring it on."

"Go!" Dugu Bo commanded, and the snake lunged at Lin Yongming.

Lin Yongming's ears twitched, and he suddenly reached out, catching the snake by its neck.

"Choose where you want it to bite you," Dugu Bo said confidently.

Lin Yongming pressed the snake's fangs against the back of his left hand. The snake bit down, then suddenly went limp and fell to the ground.

"What's going on?" Dugu Bo asked, shocked as his pet seemed to die on the spot.

The snake's venom entered Lin Yongming's body, but the extreme cold and heat toxins within him also flowed into the snake, overwhelming it.

Lin Yongming sat down cross-legged, circulating his soul power to neutralize the venom. Half an hour later, the blackened wound returned to normal, and his body's resistance to poison had increased even further. He was now truly immune to most poisons.

As he stood up, Lin Yongming picked up the snake and handed it back to Dugu Bo.

"Senior Dugu, it seems I've won again. And I'm afraid I've accidentally killed your pet," Lin Yongming said with a smile.

"Fine, I admit defeat," Dugu Bo said, his face dark. "But tell me, how did you resist my poison?"

"It's simple. I've developed a body immune to most poisons after cultivating here. But I must admit, your snake's venom was potent. It's strengthened my resistance even further," Lin Yongming explained, tossing the snake back to Dugu Bo.

Dugu Bo caught the snake, examining it. "This kid's body is filled with potent toxins. My pet was overwhelmed by his poison."

"So, your blood is now filled with poison?" Dugu Bo asked.

"You could say that. In fact, my blood could help neutralize your poison, though it might cost you some of your soul power," Lin Yongming said confidently.

"Hmm... I'll pass. Isn't there a better solution?" Dugu Bo asked, now more willing to listen.

"Of course, there is. But it will take time," the Blue Silver Emperor said, stepping forward.

Dugu Bo's demeanor had softened considerably. Though he still appeared intimidating, his tone was much calmer. The Blue Silver Emperor realized he wasn't the heartless poison master she had initially thought him to be.

"If you can truly cure me, I'll agree to do three things for you, as long as they don't violate my principles," Dugu Bo offered.

"Xiao Ming, what do you think? Should we help him?" the Blue Silver Emperor whispered.

"I think we should. He's an 89th-ranked Soul Douluo. Having him as our protector would be invaluable," Lin Yongming replied quietly.

"But can we trust him to keep his word?" she asked.

"Let's test him. I need a soul ring for my 40th rank. We can have him help us hunt a suitable spirit beast. That way, we can gauge his sincerity," Lin Yongming suggested.

"Alright, let's do it. If he betrays us, we can always escape. He won't be able to stop us here," the Blue Silver Emperor agreed.

After their discussion, Lin Yongming turned to Dugu Bo. "Senior Dugu, you said earlier that if I could withstand your poison, you'd do one thing for me. Does that offer still stand?"

"Of course. What do you want?" Dugu Bo asked.

"Since I've reached the 40th rank, I need a soul ring. Could you help me hunt a suitable spirit beast?" Lin Yongming requested.

"That's it? Are you sure?" Dugu Bo asked, surprised by the simplicity of the request.

"Yes, that's all. It shouldn't be too difficult for you, right?" Lin Yongming confirmed.

"Fine. It's almost dawn. We'll set out in three hours," Dugu Bo agreed.

With that settled, Dugu Bo returned to his tent to continue recovering his soul power. Lin Yongming and the Blue Silver Emperor went back to their cave. After a long night, they finally had a moment to rest.
