Dragonball Z: Becoming the brother of Goku

Chapter 100: Chapter 96: Captured?!

Raditz had no idea how long he had been asleep, but he woke up feeling refreshed. The new single-person spacecraft was more comfortable than he had expected, allowing him to rest comfortably in the sleep device. He yawned and stretched, noticing that the internal lights were no longer flashing, and the console displayed a green light.

"This is it," Raditz mumbled to himself as he opened the hatch.

The hatch slowly creaked open, revealing the still-visible impact crater from the spacecraft's landing. This time, the spacecraft was larger, and the crater it had created was more significant.

Raditz stepped out of the spaceship and was immediately greeted by a crowd of onlookers. Men and women, young and old, hundreds of individuals stood at the edge of the crater, staring at him with a mixture of fear and curiosity. They had heard of this type of spacecraft before, associated with invaders who had destroyed planets in the universe.

"Who is this person?"

"Look at his spaceship, it's the same kind that destroyed planets."

"Hey..."

"He's coming! Call the guards!"

The spacecraft had unfortunately landed in a bustling commercial district, and several buildings had collapsed upon impact, intensifying the fear of the crowd. Some had already spotted Raditz moving and immediately fled the scene, causing chaos.

Suddenly, the warriors of the Yardrat appeared out of thin air!

Instant Transmission—it was the very technique Raditz had come to planet Yardrat to learn. Raditz watched with fascination as the people from Yardrat used the technique to teleport instantly. He couldn't help but wonder about the situation.

To his surprise, the people seemed to view him as a threat. Their energy levels surged as they rushed towards him.

"Extraterrestrial, raise your hands! Cooperate with us and raise your hands!" one of them ordered sternly.

Their tone was serious, and there was no room for jokes. Raditz observed the expressions of the crowd around him, they looked alarmed.

Got it, they're treating me as an aggressor, Raditz thought.

He raised his hands in a gesture of surrender and tried to put on a friendly smile. "Hello, I'm a traveler from Earth, and I mean no harm."

The yardratians kept their guard up and cautiously approached Raditz, their energy at the ready. One of them reached out and used an energy technique to immobilize Raditz.

Raditz didn't resist. He knew he could easily break free, but he wanted to avoid causing unnecessary panic. As they bound him, he noticed the proficiency with which they used the technique.

With Raditz now detained, the yardratians instantly transported him to a new location. In the blink of an eye, they were in a brightly lit room with glass walls, revealing a view of blue skies, white clouds, and birds flying outside.

In Raditz's view, he could see floating islands, flying vehicles, towering buildings, and advanced technology that seemed to cover the entire planet. It was clear that the technology here far surpassed Earth's.

"Suma, this outsider has been captured by me," the yardratian warrior reported.

The room was now empty, with only Raditz and an elderly yardratian who was seated in a floating chair. The leader of the yardratian turned his attention to Raditz, his deep eyes scrutinizing him.

"Are you a member of Frieza's Legion, considering the type of spaceship you arrived in?" the leader asked.

"Riding a spaceship like this doesn't necessarily make someone a member of Frieza's Legion," Raditz replied. "If I were a member of Frieza's group, would I boldly break into a place like this if I had malicious intentions?"

"It's a valid point. But how can you possess a spaceship like that if you're not associated with Frieza?" the leader inquired.

"Because Frieza has been defeated," Raditz stated matter-of-factly.

"What!" Suma, the leader, was taken aback, his head turning to face Raditz with surprise.

The formidable and fearsome Frieza had given them many sleepless nights, demanding that they voluntarily become part of Frieza's planet and serve him, threatening to destroy them if they refused.

In just a few months, Frieza had been defeated?

Could there really be someone in the universe capable of defeating Frieza? Suma couldn't help but harbor doubts.

He had seen Frieza's power firsthand and knew that it was a formidable force. Even the strongest warriors of the planet yardrat combined might not be a match for Frieza, let alone the emperor himself.

Raditz continued calmly, "I took part in the battle against Frieza, and he has now retreated to his stronghold. It's because of this that I obtained some of Frieza's resources and acquired this spaceship. If you look closely, you'll notice that there's a new emblem on my spacecraft, completely different from Frieza's. If you doubt my words, you can ask the people on nearby planets, they all know the news."

Suma nodded, seemingly accepting Raditz's explanation. If Frieza had truly been defeated, it was good news for them.

He regarded Raditz carefully and asked, "Are you here for more than just traveling?"

Raditz smiled and said, "Indeed, I am here to learn certain special abilities, such as the Instant Transmission technique. Don't you offer instruction in such skills?"

"Sorry, it's not easy for outsiders to learn our skills," Suma replied. "First, you must prove you have no malicious intentions. Second, you need the approval of me and the other elders. And third, you must demonstrate that you possess the talent for it."

"That's fine," Raditz responded. "I'm confident that I can meet these conditions. Shall we arrange it for tonight?"

Suma contemplated Raditz's request for a moment and then nodded. "Very well, we'll give you a chance tonight."

With that, he extended his hand to Raditz as a sign of agreement.
