Dungeon of Niflheim

Chapter 813: Hindalin Mountains

Hearing Frost words Khione blushed slightly before donning an expression full of pride and triumph.

"Mnn mmn I am stunning aren't I" She boldly said with her chest arched forward. Though she knew full well how good she looked and how much of a bombshell she was hearing Frost say it aloud just felt so satisfying. Her heart heated up and a fuzzy, tingly feeling spread throughout her body, she wanted to hear him praise her beauty again and again.

"Yes, you are Khione." Frost followed through on her desires, openly agreeing with her narcissism because it was all true, she was absolutely stunning especially in the eyes of the young Dungeon core. That warmth and affection that was in his eyes unbeknownst to Khione who was still in her own little world started to shift to desire and possession.

Looking and smelling how she did right now Frost was finding it hard to not make a move, to start her corruption, luring her to the dark side where he, Maya and Daki relished in one another's touch.

She had dressed up like this for him, to beat him but still for him, nonetheless. Knowing this a cunning smile grew on his lips as he thought about how to advance his long term plans.

"Where are we heading to first then Princess?" He asked like a gentlemen.

"Hehehe obviously something fun to start with, to the Hindalin mountains, we're going to ski, snowboard, ride the snow luge and enjoy the ice baths." Khione had already mapped out their itinerary for the day, planning an excursion that suited both their tastes but at the same time would show off the majesty of Niflheim. She had to cut one thing off the list because of her delay but she was determined to start the trip on a high note therefore she chose the Hindalin mountains, an area that was in the northern quadrant and very popular among the Niflheim youths plus it was one of the few places she actually visited whenever she didn't want to train.

"That does sound fun, but can I enter the ice baths?" Frost had heard of skiing and snowboarding before, both were winter sports that were quite popular pastimes on the Yangmir continent which was know far and wide for its snowy terrain. The luge was new, but he'd already seen a small concept of it during his initial travel through the metropolis where it was used as a form of fast transport rather than a fun activity. And honestly he was quite keen to try all three, the ice baths however he was a little worried about.

The concept was quite alluring and likely a good enterprise which he could replicate back in the Dungeon, certain to make a great deal of profit and interest given the nature of the surrounding environment. Like the monsters the people of Northrend and the Glacial mountains were used to cold weather, the chill being a boon, an energizing wakeup call rather than something that stopped them dead in their tracks.

The problem however was the warning he received from gatekeeper Yule. The waters present in Niflheim were so cold and prevalent in the ice element that even he, someone with such a strong affinity for it would freeze in moments if he ever fell in. Only those who were familiar with Niflheim's terrifying chill and who had reached at the very minimum, A-rank could safely delve into the watery depths safely.

Frost remembered Yule's tone, he was deadly serious with his warning thus it stuck with him.

"Huh?....Ahhh right you're just a B-rank weakling, I forgot." Her tone and expression were so innocent that Frost couldn't even get mad, the sharp reminder of his weakness making his heart bleed and his smile almost falter.

Of course Khione wasn't really innocent, internally she was laughing her ass off but even if Frost knew he couldn't say anything in his defence it was the truth after all.

"Relax you don't need to worry about the temperature, unlike the oceans, the rapids and even the quiet streams flowing along the outskirts of the metropolis the ice baths at the Hindalin mountain resort are strictly controlled allowing even the weakest of individuals to enjoy the frigid temperatures without the risk of injury or death." Although most of the residents in Niflheim were used to the cold temperatures they also had their own limits. Those who were only B-rank or who had slightly weaker affinities would struggle to enjoy such services if the temperatures were restricted to a set level therefore the staff took great pride in being able to make the baths all inclusive.

"You can enter the child friendly baths while I enjoy the proper experience the one designed for adults." This time she didn't hold back in her mocking, looking down on her handsome companion with obvious contempt and a smile that urged him to give her a good slap across the cheek.

"….You want to get out all your jokes now while we're safe in the palace or do you want to risk me going on the offensive when we're out and about amongst your citizens." After taking a deep breath to calm his rising anger Frost gave Khione a choice, warning her that if she dared to tease him later then he wouldn't hold back in his counterattacks.

"That sounds an awful lot like a threat." Khione visibly shivered in response to his cold stare, her mind conjuring up frightening possibilities. Her opponent was a master while she was but a novice, in the end it would be her devolving into a pink mess, unable to endure the stares and whispers of the people rather than him.

"Oh it's not a threat but a promise." Frost's smile started to stretch in an evil manner.

"…. I'll just keep my tongue in check." Eventually Khione was forced to backpedal, too afraid of the possible consequences.

"Wise choice Princess." Frost nodded his head and placed a hand on Khione's shoulder. "Now please lead the way, I'm quite excited to try this skiing."

"Un this way." It didn't take long for Khione to get over her fear. She quickly smiled from ear to ear and lead at the forefront, while Frost happily followed close behind, his eyes occasionally roaming across her devilish body in appreciation. Her clothes really making her many assets shine like the sun high in the sky.

Khione being a Princess and Frost being an honoured guest were able to use the fastest transportation services available throughout the realm of Niflheim.

They first used one of the palace teleportation portals to move to a large station, a hub of portals housed within the centre of the metropolis that were connected throughout the entirety of the realm.

Despite the rigid status restrictions the hub was quite busy, strong soldiers, officials, important merchants and even ambassadors from the countries based in the core regions of the Glacial mountains were dashing to and fro to quickly get to their destinations in as little time as possible.

Those who noticed Khione however and those who weren't quite so rushed for time made sure to greet her with respect, bowing low and addressing her as your Highness or Princess to which Khione responded in an official manner without any of her usual pompous or rude behaviour. An eye-opener for Frost who's first meeting with her almost resulted in him being beaten to death.

'So she can behave like a proper Princess after all.' He internally remarked with a slight nod of his head.

Eventually they both entered a teleportation portal that was set for the Hindalin mountains, an area several hundred perhaps thousands of kilometres north of their current location.

"If you're going to barf stay as far away from me as possible, I don't want this jumper ruined." She wasn't mocking him this time, genuinely concerned that the jumper she borrowed would be stained and possibly ruined.

"Relax I'm used to sudden teleportation; I won't retch my guts out." Frost waved her off, unlike Kiba he had a bit more self-control.

"Alright just don't say I didn't warn you." Not confident in his self-control Khione took a big step to the left making Frost's upper lip twitch.

'She really has no confidence in me does she.'

While Frost and Khione made their way to the Hindalin mountains, the first stage of their little date back in one of the large communal rooms in the northern section of the palace Skadi, Freyja and several of Khione's elder sisters and even a brother or two were sitting or lying on sofas with an assortment of snacks and food stationed around them.

In the centre of the room was a large sphere of liquid showing an image of Frost and Khione talking to the guards managing the teleportation portals. The group were spying on the young couple via a special set of artifacts.

Enlisting the aid of Freyja, Skadi arranged for a small team of S-rank royal guards to serve as tails, they followed after Frost and Khione and would use the artifacts given to relay what they see to this large liquid sphere.

Thus without Khione's knowledge her mothers, sisters and even brothers were able to watch in real time her interactions with her young paramour.
