Dungeon of Niflheim

Chapter 814: Peeping operation

"Ah why didn't she walk next to him, or have him escort her like a gentlemen, such a waste." One of Khione's sisters loudly complained, her hands waving about in protest.

"I know right if it was me I'd be all over that hot piece of meat, hubba hubba." Another sister joined in, her eyes glued firmly to Frost's handsome face.

"Empress mother if things don't work out between him and Khione I'd gladly sacrifice myself in her stead." Announced an even bolder sister who had a beautiful elven appearance. Her face was an easy 11/10, her skin as soft and smooth as cream, legs that went on for miles and a thin, taught waist. Even among the bevy of beauty that was Shivali's family she could easily enter the top ten.

Unfortunately unlike her youngest sister she was as a flat as a board both in the front and the back, not exactly in Frost's ideal strike zone.

"Booo you've already got a string of boyfriends why do you need another, let us have some sister." The second woman who complained immediately protested against her elder sister's proposition before throwing her own hat in the ring.

Thus several women, single or not and even one of the brother's crowded around Freyja begging to be considered as a possible spouse if Khione failed to deliver. A prospect they strongly believed to be inevitable given how detached she was from such things in the past.

"Instead of planning for her failure why don't you cheer your youngest sister on, this is after all her first proper match." Freyja shook her head, irritated by the kids enthusiasm but deep down she couldn't really blame them, Frost was quite the catch after all.

Being chastised by Freyja the group of enthusiastic young women and men sulked before returning to their seats in defeat.

Several minutes earlier, moments after Khione was released from her confinement Skadi met with Freyja who unbeknownst to her daughter had already started to prepare for this little viewing.

It first started with a couple servants dashing into the room to describe how the first meeting went down. Skadi was particularly keen to see Frost's reaction to her hard work.

However the first moment she saw him through the video sphere Skadi unconsciously gulped, not expecting him to be quite so delicious. She even feared for her youngest daughter's safety, feeling as though she had dressed up a lamb for a wolf's feast.

"She's a total goner isn't she." She whispered to Freyja as a contingent of their family swarmed in after hearing about the viewing party from Freyja's servants.

"I certainly hope so. I doubt she'd find anyone remotely as good as Frost." Freyja wasn't worried in the slightest for her daughter's safety, in fact she even hoped Frost would make a powerful move, reigning her in while he was here under her purview.

"Is Shiv really fine with all this?" Usually Shivali was very protective of his daughters, his face would always stiffen up and sometimes he'd even enter a period of depression when one of his daughters introduced a boyfriend, girlfriend, fiancé well anyone who would engage in the dirty deed with his little angels.

"I don't think he even realises it; he's completely focused on the idea of being related to Dark to the point that he's not even thinking about what that means for Khione." Freyja shrugged her shoulders and shook her head, dreading the day he finally came to terms with the result he himself fought for.

'Perhaps she'll come back after her excursion with a bloated belly or even a child in hand.' Such an image brought a smile to her lips, but Shivali could go either way. A grandchild was always a happy occasion but for it to happen his baby girl would have to be defiled and corrupted, her innocence destroyed.

"….Kudos for Frost, he doesn't have to trudge through the usual resistance then."

"No, but he still has to get through her." Freyja pointed at the video sphere that currently showed her youngest daughter failing to take even the slightest romantic advantage with her current position. Her tone was filled with pity, frustration and disappointment.

"True but I think he's well on his way." Skadi wasn't quite so negative. Khione came to her for clothes and fashion help, something she rarely did and all for a boy. She also couldn't ignore the bright smile on her lips as she proudly guided Frost through Niflheim, she was having fun.

While the large groups of mothers, sisters and brothers enjoyed their peeping with snacks in hand the actual date was finally underway.

"Urgh!"

"Ah fuck I told you to keep to the side if you were going to barf!" Frost who was previously confident in his ability to control his stomach loudly retched as a the powerful and fairly long twisting force pushed up the remains of the delightful pizza he enjoyed a couple hours prior.

Khione who didn't want her clothes to get stained waved her hands and splayed herself along the walls resisting the urge to boot his backside out the door the moment it opened.

"Urgh cough cough…I...I'm fine just a little urgh." Frost cheeks puffed up as gastric acid threatened to erupt beyond his lips. He used his left hand to cover his mouth and his right to allay Khione's fears. He wasn't going to puke but he needed a minute or two to get his bearings. Thank goodness the S-rank spies that were tailing them couldn't follow them through the same portal otherwise Frost's perfect image could have been ruined.

Having no confidence in him Khione stayed exactly where she was, as far away from him as possible as the portal guards opened the door and quickly ushered him safely out.

In the end Frost was right, he didn't actually barf, but he was damn close. The teleportation between the metropolis and the palace couldn't be compared to the one he just experienced. The transfer time was easily four times longer and far more brutal, Kiba would have instantly passed out after exploding from both ends of this he was certain.

"You good?" Khione asked with slight concern, knowing that the transfer to the Hindalin mountains was notoriously difficult even for those with experience and sufficient strength.

"Yeah just got the wind knocked out of me a little." Frost was bending over an area specifically designed for such situations, doing his absolute best to recover from the discomfort. It took him a few deep breaths and gentle rubbing of his stomach but eventually he straightened his back, glugged down a cup of ice water that was handed to him by one of the guards and readied himself to carry on.

"Alright we can go."

"You sure? We can wait another minute or two if you want" Generously offered Khione, caring more about Frost's health than their tight schedule.

"No I'm good we can head up now, I'm still excited for skiing." Frost brushed her offer aside with a bright smile, appearing strong and resilient. A mild stomach issue wouldn't stop him from enjoying this golden opportunity.

"Ok this way then." Khione shrugged before pointing behind her with her thumb and leading the way, her hips naturally swaying from side to side, which hastened Frost's recovery even more, giving him purpose to carry on.

The teleportation portal was established part way up a grand mountain that rose higher than the eyes could see. A large part of the mountain had been carved out so as to provide an expansive flat ground to safely build on.

Khione with an excited skip in her step guided Frost to a large inn that was reserved for those with high status. Here rooms were available as well as a range of spa treatments and food. You could even rent snow equipment which was the main reason they visited.

Khione had her own set of skis, personally designed for her size and capabilities, Frost however would need to get his hands on a basic set and be taught from the ground up.

"Princess Khione it's an honour to have you visit our establishment again, welcome to the Hindalin mountains." A beautiful hostess garbed in a white satin kimono greeted the two of them with a business smile.

"We're not staying, just here for a bit of skiing, snow luge and the ice baths." Usually visiting the mountains would be a several days perhaps even a full week trip given how difficult it was to get here.

"Understood, here's your personal token and for the young gentlemen?" The hostess handed over a specialised token that allowed access to all of the inn's facilities including the equipment storage lockers. All Khione's gear was kept here and maintained by the inn's staff year round.

"He's a newbie so he'll need a starter set of skis, winter clothes etc…just put in on the family's account."

"Very well, do you need an instructor?" The professional hostess wasn't surprised by Khione's choice in company, unlike those in the palace she didn't know her that well. She merely assumed she was on a date just like her elder sisters.

"No need I'll teach him personally." Khione thumped her chest with pride and gave Frost a playful wink, enjoying the fact that she was the teacher rather than the student.
