"How come you left your own birthday party so early?"

"I got bored. (I get my dragon slayer powers today and, it'd be bad if I couldn't control it when they come. Even worse at home in front of all my friends and family.)"

"Hahahaha! You're weird Bro." Four-year-old Leopold watches now five year old Galileo repeatedly jumping and stomping the air as many times as possible before landing, out in the forest a ways off behind their home. "Who would get bored at a party and come jump in the woods?"

"…I'm training!" out of breath.

"How's that training? Usually, when Fuego trains it involves focusing magic or actual fighting."

"I know…how Fuegoleon trains." Stopping to catch his breath "he's forced me into enough lessons to know."

"Don't you like training with him and Ms. Teresa? I mean your magic hasn't even awakened yet and you're so far ahead in your studies."

"I train better by myself, besides I plan on being stronger than them. So I need a better regimen than them."

"You want to be the wizard king? How do you plan to beat bro and the others by jumping in place and poking trees with your finger? Plus you've been wearing that sleep mask so much there's a rumor you're blind going around."

"First off there's a method to the madness watch when I stand at the top. second no I don't want to be wizard king that sounds like too much work. Reserve magic knight sounds good."

"THE HELL! You're fine with just being a reserve!" Leopold nearly spat blood.

"Yeah, I look forward to being a magic knight but I'm fine without all of the politics. That can be someone else's problem, I just wanna fight and explore."

"That's still no excuse to aim so low! You know, you sound a lot like Meraleona."

"And, you sound like a lot like Fuegoleon."

"You do realize we're nobles of house Vermillion. We have to-" before he can finish his sentence Galileo grabs him and jumps several meters away. Where they were standing the ground erupts into a pillar of ice. "Bro how did you-"

"Hard work pays off." He turns to face his attackers. "No point in hiding, I know you're there."

"Hehehehh sharp kid, I was hoping to catch you both in one swoop." A short, thin pale faced man in a black cloak steps from behind a tree brandishing a pale blue grimoire. "Come along quietly if you don't want to die."

"Trying to intimidate kids with your grimoire, how manly."

"So you're saying you're not scared? "How about now?" He releases his magic power to pressure them.

"Nah not really? What do you want jackass?"

"You noble kids are worth a pretty penny on the black market. Ice creation magic: Shard dolls!"Seven golems of ice form, they each have one yellow eye and razor sharp limbs. "You still not scared?"

"Bro this is really bad." Leopold retreats a step.

"Leopold did you just step back?"

"Um yeah but-"

"You do realize we're nobles of the house Vermillion?"

Leopold was surprised his earlier statement was used against him, by someone as self serving and unmotivated as Galileo no less. "Y-yes!"

"And? What does that matter?" Increasing his pressure.

"We're LIONS! WE NEVER RETREAT!" Galileo releases his conquerors haki to push the magic pressure back, the two closest ice dolls shatter. Leopold can only stare in awe at his brother who was only a year older than him but was pressuring an adult wizard.

"Oh you've got guts, I guess I'll have to tear them out." The remaining ice dolls attack.

"Soru" Galileo vanishes and reappears with his index finger pierceing through the first doll's eye shattering it. "Shigan! Rankyaku!" A follow up roundhouse kick produces a slicing shockwave that cuts clean through the rest. He straightens his body and allows his conqueror's haki to bear down on the hooded man again. It's even more intense the second time, the nearby branches begin to snap and the man is forced to a knee. "You're not enough, all of you should come at me at once. I haven't got a chance to really cut loose yet."

"Hahaha! Sharp kid indeed, we were even hiding with magic." Mist starts to leak out from behind the trees as three more mages step out. The first a fat man whose cloak stops at his belly."

"Yes I know folks who'd pay a pretty penny for a child soldier like that." -The second a petite woman with a short cloak and long boots.

"But he seems kinda cocky we might have to break him first." A man with short black hair and a scar on his right eye.

"(Well there was that one guy with the snow friend magic, so I guess this situation is reasonable. Still they're bold to come this close to the royal estate…I won't use a single fruit to crush them) Are you watching Leo? "

"Yes!"

"This is how your big brother hunts."

"Watch out he's quick!" the ice mage warns.

"We saw, we'll be faster!." The woman goes first "Soaring clouds!" Small clouds appear around the mages' feet and lift them into the air flying around at high speeds.

"Ice creation magic: icicle plates!" The ice mage coats himself and his teammates in ice armors with sharp blades on them.

"I take it other kids must have a hard time against this monster combo."

"Laugh all you want we like to be on the safe side." The black-haired man responds, "Mud magic: terra current." The ground under Galileo begins to churn and ripple like the waves of an ocean. However, he doesn't sink instead he starts kicking off of the air, to hover in place.

"WHAT!" All four mages and Leopold are stunned beyond belief to see this child who is literally running on air with no magic.

"Geppo…That's three moves, your turn fatass."

"Tch! You little shit! Flaming python whip!" The fat mage easily takes the bait swing a whip made of flames at Galileo.

Galileo allows his body to go limp and rides the momentum of each lash for seemingly effortless last-minute dodges. "Kami-e. That was all four of you, my turn."

"Did you think we'd wait to see what move you'd do! Ice Creation:Frozen Hammer!" The ice mage launces a large block of ice at Galileo with a sharp spearpoint.

"Cloud geyser." The wind mages spell creates a geyser of air appear on the back of the ice block propelling it forward like a rocket.

Galileo lunges at the ice rocket and flexes all his muscles tightening his body like steel. "Tekkai!" Then he coats his fist in armament haki turning it black. At the last second he leaps to the side and punches the iceberg at an angle deflecting it towards the earth mage with even more speed. It smashes him into a tree knocking him unconscious, and returning the ground to normal. Galileo uses soru to appear behind the wind mage with a raised leg ready for a haki coated ax kick.

"Wha- what are you!?" The wind mage was scared frozen.

"Damn! Ice creation magic: Frozen barrier!" The ice mage casts a shield to protect her but it barely slowed the kick as it she's sent crashing to the ground armor shattered. The two remaining mages drop to the ground as the soaring currents spell was canceled. "(This is bad, he got two of us in the blink of an eye. His monster strength is one thing but coupled with his mobility…this kid is scary. If I survive this I swear I'll never do another crime again. God save me!)" Though his cloak hides it he's drenched in a cold sweat.

"(Maybe it's still a bit early for Leo to see dead bodies and I don't want have to explain that to authorities either...) take your friends and go."

"Huh!" The ice mage is startled.

"Leave while I'm feeling gracious, if I see any of you again you die." He turns to walk away towards Leopold.

The ice mage picks up the girl with a less sharp ice doll and sends another to grab the earth mage, happily accepting mercy. On the other hand the fat fire mage was seething with rage "A fucking brat is showing ME mercy? I can't stand for it!" His grimoire flips to his last and strongest spell "FLAME PYTHON'S SCORCHING CRAWL!" From an outstretched hand a white hot snake big enough to swallow a horse whole comes flying at Galileo.

"Shit!" Galileo barely manages another tekkai/armament haki combo to block it but the snake kept pushing him back. "If this keeps up Leo will…" at that moment he realized something, the fire wasn't hot. As he had ate the dragon devil fruit and been born a vermillion fire never really bothered him, but now he couldn't even feel it. Then he heard the notification.

"Happy fifth birthday host! Congratulations on awakening Natsu's dragon slayer arts and natural mana!"

"Heh that means…" suddenly the snake began to shrink until there was nothing but a scorched trail between the two of them. Galileo had devoured the flames "You tried to kill me with my back turned?" A glare devoid of any intent other than murder locked onto the mage.

Realizing that his strongest attack was rendered ineffective the fire mage's rage was quickly replaced with fear. "No please don't kill me!"

"You should have left when I gave you the chance." To the fire mage and Leopold's surprise flames began dance in Galileo's open haki coated palm.

"Y-you have magic now?"

"But you chose to try and sneak me, that won't slide" lightning began crackling around the flames and killing intent grew with it. Galileo slowly advances step by step.

"Stay back I don't want to die! No! Get away!" Tears and snot are driveling from his face as he swings his whip desperately to survive.

Galileo lets it wrap around his free right hand uses it to pull the fire mage in close "LIGHTNING-FLAME DRAGON'S HEAVY FIRING HAMMER!" At the last second before connecting with the mage another change to the attack occurs. The flames become a deep azure and the lightning becomes purple. The next instant the mage is nearly incinerated from the impact of a massive uppercut. He's sent flying high into the air and explodes in a burst of blue and purple over the capital like fireworks, captivating many spectators. "…Blue fire? Damn now I gotta rename my punch." Galileo stares at his hand until he got a notification in his head.

"Unexpected mutation! Due to the mixing of compatible powers: Goro goro no mi, ryu ryu no mi, lightning flame dragon slayer magic, and natural fire mana affinity host has developed a dragon's body fully capable of dragonic magic. Therefore host has become an azure dragon with azure flames to match. Host also lost inability to swim."

"(What an unexpected delight!" I might be the strongest in the family now! Bwahaha! System let me see my new stats!)"

"Woah im a monster…literally." Galileo snaps back to reality to find his brother staring awe stricken at him. "What is there something on my face?"

"Blue fire and purple lightning!? What kind of magic is that! That was so AWESOME! AND YOU WERE RUNNING ON AIR! BLAH BLAH BLAH" eventually all Galileo could hear was excited rambling. He chops Leopold in the head to shut him up. "Ow!"

"Stick with me and I'll take you even higher this!"

Leopold's face light's up "Heck yea! Make me strong Gali!" He was whole heartedly behind his brother after that display.

"Alright, first I'll start by teaching you the rokushiki."

"rokusi?"

"Let's just go with the six powers."

"Six powers!"

"Six techniques that can vastly increase your physical prowess, and when you get older they can compliment your magic nicely to."

"Ohhh I see, I see."

"If you paid attention to that battle I used all 6 moves. Soru/shave- a high speed movement technique, Kami-e/paper- a dodging technique using your foes momentum, shigan/finger pistol- a finger thrust that can pierce solid objects, rankyaku/storm leg- a kick the creates a slicing shockwave, geppo/moonwalk- a means of running on air and through water, and lastly tekkai/iron body- a technique to make your body as hard as steel. Should you prove capable of learning these six moves, I'll teach you more advanced techniques. Training will be hell, not to mention you'll still have classes if you want to be a great magic knight. Are you sure you can handle it?"

"Yeah! I'll do whatever it takes to be strong, like you, Mera and Fuego! You're all so amazing, there's now way I can let myself fall behind!"

"(It feels good to be looked up to like this) Alright Leo I like your enthusiasm! Your training will begin next week so until then enjoy being able to feel your legs. Now let's go home I'm starving!"

"Me too! I wonder if there's any of cake left?"

"Cake sounds great. Oh, let's keep this our little secret for now."
