A clatter of surprised exclamations came through the radio.

"Boss, you actually carry this stuff with you?"

The radio went quiet for a while, as others didn't know what to say, and the logistics team members responsible for carrying supplies looked on with envy.

Ye Nai led the way, ascending the ramp. The off-road vehicle performed superbly, climbing with ease.

The piled-up silt was just level with the city wall. Driving over the muddy ramp past the wall's edge, they descended onto the city walls. Another short drive led them to a horse path for getting down the walls, and a few loops later they reached the ground.

The Smoke Formation Team members in the two following vehicles, seeing the deserted Military Fortress, didn't dare ask a single question.

Ye Nai pulled her vehicle to the side, letting Shi Lin's two vehicles take the lead, as she followed behind.

The Smoke Formation Team's vehicles turned left and right within the fortress, circling several times before finally determining which Transmission Platform they had emerged from.

Then, a new problem arose.

They didn't know how to activate the Transmission Platform.

"Our original mission wasn't to venture this far into the Otherworld. Getting here was purely a twist of fate; we never got a handle on the related information. The paths we took here were all guesses while being chased by the enemy. As soon as we saw a Transmission Platform being used, we rushed through it to get ahead, so although we know the Heart Core is the key to activation, we don't know how to use it."

She placed the Heart Core on the Transmission Platform and pressed her hand on it.

The very next second, the Transmission Platform lit up with a faint glow from the Transmission Witch Pattern.

All the members of the Smoke Formation Tactical Team let out a chorus of astonished gasps.
