Exorcist's Insanity: Son Of Hades

Chapter 2: : O Child Of Hades

The sky was pitch-black with two gigantic red eyes looking down from high above.

The air was hard. Every time he took a breath, it felt like heavy rocks had been stocked in the pathways of his lungs.

A stiffened breath.

This place was the Underworld.

Williams could see nothing but the vast darkness, and the red gigantic eyes staring down at him.

"I haven't died?" he thought.

Seeing he had a body was surprising, although he had pursued the path beyond death and judgment, but he knew this wasn't it.

While he was wondering where this place was, a cacophonous voice screeched against his eardrum.

"O my child, come to me."

The words made Williams involuntarily kneel with his head down.

"Why... why can't I move my body?" he stuttered in his thoughts.

Unclear of the reason why he found himself suddenly kneeling to the abyss, the pressure was unlike anything.

"O my child, now rise."

It was after the raspy voice of Hades gave him the will that Williams felt his body respond.

"That wasn't so pleasant," said Williams, composed as he stares at the big eyes.

"O my child—"

"Call me your child again and you'll regret it. I belong to no one."

Hades remained quiet, although Williams sounded very rude, but it was this trait he adored most.

An uncontrollable trait. Also known as madness in the eyes of the tamer.

"It was this arrogance of yours that has brought you to my Underworld, and you will not leave unless I permit it. Now kneel and apologize; I will forgive you, my child."

Williams tried all he could; he bowed to no one. However, this wasn't just anybody.

This was Hades, the god of death and destruction. His soul now belongs to this god.

And Hades was making sure Williams understood he was just a pawn.

Williams was brought to his knees but by force, to the point he coughed out blood trying to resist.

"O my child, don't let me hurt you."

At last, Williams stopped struggling and sighed. It was when he stopped that he found his body doing according to his command.

"Fine, you win this one," said Williams.

His words made Hades smile, a grin wide enough to swallow Williams.

Insanity Scripture 89: Embrace the shadow, not as friend nor enemy, but as a blade yet to be controlled.

"O my child, your soul has cost me a lot, but at last, I won you in the bidding war of fallen gods."

"A bidding war?" asked Williams.

Williams was still kneeling; it was no surprise to him that fallen gods would want his soul.

"Yes, my child—but I, Hades, god of death, won you. I lost ten billion living souls, and the rest were from my chamber of dead souls."

Williams paused; he didn't give a sign he was thinking, but he was.

"Then, father, let me return you thy favor," said Williams.

"And how do you intend to repay that favor?"

At this point, Williams stood up, gripping his fist, his demeanor calm and focused on the demonic eyes as he spoke.

"I will preach your teachings and the coming of my father. One million souls around the dimensions will be added to thy father's court," said Williams.

Bowing his head as a sign of submission.

It was well known to all the fallen gods about Williams's path on Earth's dimension and the disciples he had convinced.

Initially, Hades had planned to eat his soul in order to grow stronger, but Williams had come with a dessert no fallen god could resist.

Except Dionysus, this was what he had in mind for Williams.

If Hades had a personal disciple, the more souls corrupted by his name, the quicker he'd rise and become supreme among all fallen gods.

Maybe even able to challenge the Eye.

Williams knew this as well, because he had spent years studying about evil and righteousness.

But the path he chose was complete dominance; whether he got that from good or evil, it didn't matter.

"Send your son to bring to thy father endless souls that would add thy father's path against the Eye."

The negotiation was something that made Hades silent for nearly a minute.

Waiting for Hades to reply, Williams, still having his head bowed, suddenly felt his feet wet. He was now standing at the entrance of the dark sea.

"That offer was very tempting. Did Hades actually turn me down?" Williams asked himself.

Just now he was in the presence of Hades, and now he's standing at the entrance of a dark sea with marbles of black rocks.

He stared behind him, and all that was there is endless darkness.

While he was wondering what had suddenly occurred, a shrill voice screeched against his eardrums.

To the point where Williams had to cover his ears. Like the screeching of a banshee.

"O child of great monarch, we've been expecting you."

A figure cloaked in darkness rode towards him on a boat with a skull head.

Its body was hidden in the darkness of the cloak; only two glowing red eyes were visible.

The figure, also known as the Grim Reaper, stood on the gradually paddling boat with a black crescent staff.

"Come, O child of great monarch, and enter to cross the dark sea of lost souls."

The Grim Reaper stretched its skeleton-like hands to bring Williams when it suddenly stopped.

However, Williams stood like a statue, looking at the figure.

"Where does this boat lead?" he asked.

Suspending the figure's hand at arm's length away from him.

"This river leads to the Child of Great Monarch Rebirth."

"And what happens if I fall inside the river?"

"Child of great monarch, your soul will be captured by the Chambers and will be unable to be reborn."

With that heard, Williams sighed. He had issues trusting people; however, he entered the boat without holding the Reaper.

"O child of great monarch, I will now take you to the end."

Whatever that meant, Williams nodded in agreement. "Okay," said Williams.
