Chapter 106: Chapter 106: Cracking the Mangekyō

Koharu that old hag really was annoying. Yuhara hadn't expected to deal with her so soon.

He had just taken down Danzo and forced Sarutobi Hiruzen's faction to bleed heavily. Even if they honored agreements, they definitely hated his guts now.

So while they might fulfill the terms, anything beyond that—they'd make sure to cause trouble.

And the major clans were too busy digesting their gains from the last conflict. They weren't about to risk offending the Hokage faction just to help the Uchiha, a clan they had only just let into their circle.

Even that acceptance was mostly from Nara Shikaku on behalf of the Ino-Shika-Cho trio. The others? Still uncertain.

"Looks like my idea of getting prisoners to produce goods like kunai wasn't wrong after all."

Yuhara rubbed his temples. He'd always understood the importance of money, but now that understanding had deepened.

He'd rather grind it out himself than go begging Hiruzen's crew—talking to them was like eating sunflower seeds in a toilet. Pointless and disgusting.

"So we'll take it slow, but it has to be done. If nothing else, they can start making basic supplies. Better than lazing around all day training or chatting and sharing techniques."

Yuhara gave the order, and both Fugaku and Shisui could only nod. Now that the problem had been seen, ignoring it would be irresponsible.

Yes, it was going to be a pain—but what else could they do? If there were obstacles, they'd just have to push through them.

Yuhara could tell they were feeling pressured, but he wasn't about to funnel clan funds into the Police Force.

Sure, it was the Uchiha Police Force—but on paper, it still belonged to Konoha.

And the clan needed money for its own initiatives. No way was Yuhara dipping into clan finances for this.

So the burden had to fall on their shoulders.

Thankfully, all three were mentally prepared and determined enough to tough it out.

"We'll leave the Police Force matters here for now. It's exhausting, but we'll build a better future."

Yuhara paused, then smiled. He made a silent hand sign toward Shisui, who blinked, then nodded and quickly formed hand seals. A soundproof barrier enveloped the room.

"Clan leader?" Fugaku frowned slightly. He'd been on the battlefield and recognized the gesture—but why be this cautious inside the Police Force HQ?

"We've handled the primary business. Now we move to something equally important—and unless a new Mangekyō awakens, no one else is allowed to hear this."

Yuhara's face turned serious. Mentioning "a new Mangekyō" instantly made both Fugaku and Shisui tense up.

It was clear now—they were going to discuss Mangekyō-level secrets, and no one else should be involved.

Mangekyō Sharingan was currently the clan's strongest power, and obtaining it required unimaginable pain.

All three of them had experienced that soul-crushing despair. That the clan had even produced three Mangekyō users was already a miracle.

Without the three of them, Sarutobi might never have even sat down to listen during their confrontation—he'd likely have ordered an attack instantly.

Their power was on another level entirely from ordinary Sharingan. Letting others listen, even other Uchiha, was pointless.

"We understand, Clan leader," both said solemnly. "We won't speak a word of this."

"Relax," Yuhara smiled. "We're all Mangekyō users here—you've probably both noticed something."

He pulled out two scrolls from his ninja pouch. One bore the character 'Eye', the other 'Hundred'.

Both men were curious. As Yuhara broke the seal on the 'Eye' scroll, he spoke.

"We all know the Mangekyō is a dangerous power. It harms not just enemies—but us as well. Prolonged use causes irreversible damage to our vision."

"But this isn't unchangeable. One method is the one Madara Uchiha once used—transplanting a relative's eyes."

With a puff of smoke, an eye appeared on the scroll.

Shisui and Fugaku instantly recognized it.

They hadn't forgotten—Yuhara had gouged out one of the eyes of that mysterious, nameless man during battle. This was it.

Yuhara picked up the eye and handed it to Fugaku. "It's just one eye, but it should still be useful. It's yours."

With that done, he turned to the other scroll.

"I've also been wondering—is there any way to reduce the Mangekyō's chakra drain? When that guy from eight years ago—the one who caused the Nine-Tails attack—showed up again, I realized he might hold the answer."

"Eight years ago, he controlled the Nine-Tails. Eight years ago, he vanished without a trace. And all that time, he was using his dojutsu."

"But his vision never deteriorated. That puzzled me—until I chopped off his arm."

Poof!

A pale, eerie arm appeared before them. Both men instantly noticed it—this thing was made entirely from that white biological matter. No bones inside at all.

"This arm's vitality is ridiculous. I chopped it off, but it's still in perfect condition. The guy's entire left side was made from this stuff."

Yuhara looked between them, smiling.

"Maybe that's why he can spam his Mangekyō without issue."

"That's why I want to set up a lab. One run by us three. Its goal—figure out how to break the limits of the Mangekyō using this material."

Yuhara paused briefly, then turned solemn.

"This is our chance. A breakthrough for the next generation. Will you join me and take this risk?"

"We're in, Clan leader!"
