Family System In Naruto

Chapter 109: Chapter 109: Yakumo Kurama and Naruto

"I'm tired."

"Is that even tiring?"

"Please—I've been doing all the talking, thinking through how they're feeling and what they want… How can I not be tired?"

Walking down the street, Yuhara shrugged at Shisui—they'd just left the final clan to visit. With internal matters nearly settled, it was time for the next phase.

Humble gestures and openness were their plan: in recent days, they'd visited every Konoha clan—Nara, Yamanaka, Akimichi, Aburame, even the distant Hyūga and the nearly forgotten Kurama clan.

Their visits surprised many small clans—no one expected proud Uchiha to reach out so genuinely.

The Kurama clan members, especially, were speechless: once strong in genjutsu—on par with the Uchiha—they'd since declined through war and failed kekkei genkai awakenings.

Yet Yuhara still visited them. If they had more members, Yuhara believed volunteering for the Police Force would've been welcomed. Sadly, they're few—and Yuhara didn't even bring up the idea this time.

Other clans mostly accepted the Uchiha's reentry into Konoha's family circles. Hyūga remained cautious, but overall it was a positive sign.

"You have more on your mind than I do—you're the clan leader," Shisui said with a half-smile. Yuhara returned a respectful Hyūga-style bow.

"By the way—with that girl, Yakumo Kurama—what did you think?"

Kurama was nearly extinct, but Yuhara knew their next strong figure would be Yakumo, daughter of Romu Kurama, who had awakened Kurama's rare kekkei genkai to manipulate the five senses.

Still, rumors said the girl had killed her parents after the awakening—perhaps a mental illness triggered by power?

"Her chakra was good for a young girl," Shisui recalled. "But she's so young—hard to say anything more."

"Agreed—she's promising, but later," Yuhara said, filing the detail away.

"And the lab setup?"

"I've recruited ten clan members—they're in medical-nin training, told they're working on a clan secret," Shisui explained, tone low. "We're watching them closely—no odd behavior tolerated."

"And equipment?"

"Thanks to Fugaku's connections, we imported a batch of devices—turned over to our team."

Yuhara smiled at that. The lab, hidden in the forest behind the clan compound, would analyze body changes and work on preserving or culturing that strange arm.

They only had one arm—more would be needed if two of them tried it. Whether they could grow it without the Ten-Tails' body was uncertain—but necessary to try.

Their goal: strengthen the clan by enhancing Mangekyō capabilities. Relying on luck or a "system" was no excuse—they had real paths to follow.

As they returned, they found a blond boy hesitating at the compound's gate.

"Naruto?"

Both Yuhara and Shisui froze. Last time they'd seen him, Danzo had fallen into the abyss. They'd both been too busy to check on him since—and had no real use for him as a political pawn. Villagers like him were public trust, not leverage.

"Brother Yuhara!" Naruto turned, visibly brightening. "What are you doing here?"

Yuhara laughed. "Here of all places? Ran out of ramen?"

Naruto smiled back. "No—I'm looking for Sasuke."

Shisui nodded and gestured. "Shall we take him to Sasuke? I'll lead the way."

"Thanks, big bros," Naruto grinned, bright as ever—reminding Yuhara of Minato.

Yuhara bit back regret—Minato was gone. If only he'd arrived here earlier, maybe Uchiha Itachi could've been an ally...

Then Yuhara sensed a strange chakra nearby—the very ANBU that Sarutobi mentioned, monitoring Naruto's contact with the Uchiha.

Oddly, Naruto followed Shisui inside, but the ANBU stayed outside.

"Aren't you curious what he's here for?" Yuhara stepped toward the nearby tree, staring at the chakra.

Eventually a masked figure with silver hair emerged—an ANBU with one red eye glinting under his mask.

Clearly… it was Kakashi Hatake!
