Chapter 5: 5. Special Training

Kael was thrilled with the news from his Master Qui-Gon Jinn and continued his training. Meanwhile, when Obi-Wan learned of Kael's progress in his training and that Qui-Gon had prepared a special training program for him, he began to feel ambitious.

Obi-Wan had never harbored jealousy or any other negative emotion, even when he was ambitious. As much as he would have liked to participate in a program like Kael's special training program, he didn't think he was ready for such a program at the moment.

Obi-Wan, who had been closest to Kael's development, had felt inadequate, but in the long run he had actually been quite useful.

One morning Obi-Wan had intensified his lightsaber training in the training area. His movements were quick and determined, drenched in sweat, but relentless. Qui-Gon, seeing Obi-Wan's determination and ambition, watched him in silence. Obi-Wan's inner fire both motivated and pushed him.

Qui-Gon did not want to take Kael as his Padawan. Even though Kael didn't have a Master yet, after his training with Mace Windu, many thought that Master Windu would be Kael's Master.

"You worked hard today, Obi-Wan," Qui-Gon said, moving closer to Obi-Wan.

Obi-Wan closed his lightsaber and turned to his Master. "Yes, Master. I have seen how fast Kael is moving and I want to catch up and even surpass him. I feel that I must do more to become a Jedi." Qui-Gon nodded, appreciating Obi-Wan's ambition and determination. "Your ambition and determination are very impressive, Obi-Wan. But remember that ambition, if not properly channeled, can tire you out and lead you down the wrong path."

Obi-Wan listened carefully to his Master's words and took a deep breath. "You are right, Master Qui-Gon. Sometimes I push myself too hard, and Kael's success motivates me, but I also feel the pressure."

Qui-Gon gently touched Obi-Wan's shoulder. "Kael's success should motivate you, but you must avoid comparing yourself to him. Every Jedi has his own path and his own time. You must focus on your own skills and strengths."

Obi-Wan nodded, relieved to hear his Master's advice. "Yes, Master. I will focus on my own path and channel my ambition in the right way."

Qui-Gon looked at Obi-Wan with a reassuring smile. "I am proud of you, Obi-Wan. As you forge your own path, you must always do what you believe is right. Remember that the Force is not only physical, but also mental and emotional balance."

Encouraged by his Master's words, Obi-Wan said, "Thank you, Master Qui-Gon. I will remember your advice.

Qui-Gon stood beside Obi-Wan and said, "We will continue to work together. I am here to help you reach your full potential. Come, get some rest and then we will continue our training." Yes, Master," Obi-Wan said with great relief and motivation, smiling slightly.

Meanwhile, Kael was in a private training session with his Master Yoda. Yoda's training was based on pushing Kael to his limits and maximizing his potential. Yoda projected enormous wisdom and power from his tiny body. Kael tried to follow his master's instructions with all his attention and energy.

In the middle of the training, Yoda turned to Kael and said solemnly,"A difficult task, this is. Concentration and sensitivity, it requires. The use of the Force, necessary it is."

"I do my best, Master Yoda," Kael breathed, drenched in sweat. Yoda narrowed his green eyes at Kael. "Do or do not, there is no try," he said.

Kael stopped for a moment when he heard those words. He recognized the line. He remembered Yoda's words to Luke Skywalker in the movies. Recalling that moment in his mind, he focused again and tried to feel the Force within him.

Yoda nodded in satisfaction, sensing the change in Kael's mind. "Good, young Kael. The Force, feel you must. Within, the balance find."

Kael continued his movements, absorbing his master's words. Under Yoda's guidance he became faster and stronger. Throughout the training, Yoda pushed Kael to his limits and taught him new techniques.

At the end of the training, Yoda turned to Kael and said, "Progress, you are making, Kael. Continue with patience and perseverance, you must."

Kael, tired but pleased, said, "Thank you, Master Yoda. Your guidance is invaluable."

Yoda nodded with a small smile."Continue to feel, and your inner balance find, you must."

Kael had not had a chance to rest after his intense training with Yoda. His Master, Qui-Gon Jinn, had arranged the next training session for him: Form IV (Ataru) training with Jedi Master Mace Windu. When Kael arrived at the training grounds, he found Mace Windu waiting for him. Kael was impressed by Mace Windu's strong and confident presence.

"Welcome, Kael," Mace Windu said. "Today we will be working on Form IV. This form focuses on agility and speed."

"Thank you, Master Windu. I am ready," he said.

Mace Windu pulled out his lightsaber and leaned toward Kael. "First I will show you some basic movements, watch carefully and repeat."

Kael watched carefully as Mace Windu demonstrated the moves. Mace Windu's movements were quick and fluid. Kael followed his moves step by step. After a while, Mace Windu made several moves towards Kael and Kael was able to parry them.

"An impressive start, Kael," Mace Windu said. "But now we're going to have a real duel. Get ready." Taking a deep breath, Kael drew his lightsaber and looked intently at Mace Windu. The duel began and Mace Windu quickly attacked Kael. Kael tried to parry his moves, but Mace Windu's movements were too fast and powerful. Kael found it difficult to deal with him.

After a while, Mace Windu's moves forced Kael into a corner. In a last-ditch effort, Kael tried to fight back, but Mace Windu skillfully locked his lightsaber onto Kael's sword and disarmed him. Kael retreated in defeat.

Mace Windu closed his lightsaber and approached Kael. "You fought well, Kael. But you have much to learn," he said.

Kael said out of breath, "Yes, Master Windu. It was truly a challenge to duel with you."

Mace Windu gently touched Kael's shoulder. "Form IV requires speed and agility. But it also requires concentration and inner balance. You must be fast and agile enough, but you must also remain calm and balanced."

Kael listened carefully to his master's words and said sincerely, "Yes, Master Windu. I will work harder and focus on balance."

Mace Windu looked at Kael with a reassuring smile. "I am proud of you, Kael. I'm happy to see your progress, but remember, the balance you must find must be a true balance. Keep working to get a little better every day."

The true balance Windu speaks of is different from the balance the Jedi speak of. For the Jedi, balance is emotional, spiritual, and physical equilibrium.

The balance Windu speaks of is the balance between darkness and light. There are very few Jedi who seek to understand this state of balance, because if you can't find the balance between darkness and light, and if you can't maintain it once you have it, you risk falling into the dark path.

Windu wanted Kael to be his Padawan, so he planned to train him as best he could. If Kael could use his gift to balance the light and dark sides of the Force, he would be a Jedi of unprecedented power.

Had the other Jedi Masters known of Windu's plan, they would have done everything in their power to stop him, fearing that such a talented Padawan might turn to the dark side in the future.

Kael was a little hesitant after hearing his master's words, but he quickly replied, "Thank you, Master Windu. I will do my best," and as Mace Windu guided Kael, he made Kael feel that he was giving him the support he needed to maximize his potential.

With Mace Windu's advice, Kael continued his training with even more determination and was ready to take great strides toward becoming a Jedi.
