Forcibly Taking Nami Aboard, MultiverseLottery

Chapter 13: CH 13

Over East Blue

Bai Yu stood at the bow of the Going Merry, reading the newspaper and bounty posters in his hands, his frown growing deeper by the second.

"Wow! A billion-berry bounty!"

"Nami's bounty is 100 million, and mine is 30 million," Kaya added with a smile.

"Why do I have a bounty too? And why the hell is it 200 million?!" Nojiko exclaimed.

The three girls chatted excitedly, but Bai Yu couldn't help but shake his head.

"It's rare for a rookie pirate to get a 100-million-berry bounty, let alone a billion. This is pure provocation."

He glanced at Nojiko's poster, his brows furrowed.

"Even Nojiko has a bounty now. She's just an ordinary girl, and they slapped 200 million on her head?! That's basically signing her death warrant. It's obvious the Marines are trying to drag us into the Grand Line's whirlpool."

Bai Yu clenched the newspaper.

"Sengoku the 'Buddha'… You're a real bastard, you know that?!"

He scanned the headlines again, his expression turning sour:

• [The Strongest Rookie in History!]

• [The Future Strongest in the World!]

• [If Gol D. Roger conquered the Grand Line, then Bai Yu will be the Demon King who plunges the world into darkness!]

• [Demon King Bai Yu – A Sinner Who Must Be Stopped!]

Bai Yu snorted.

"Hmph. At least they know how to hype me up. I hate the slander, but I can appreciate the praise."

Until he read the next part—

• [Bai Yu: Disciple of the Golden Lion!]

• [Golden Lion: 'The Shichibukai are just trash my disciple can wipe out!']

• [Golden Lion: 'Bai Yu will surpass Roger!']

• [Golden Lion: 'Kaido isn't worthy of carrying my disciple's shoes!']

• [Golden Lion: 'Charlotte Linlin? Compared to my disciple? Don't make me laugh!']

• [Golden Lion: 'Even Whitebeard would kneel to welcome my disciple!']

Bai Yu: "…"

"Good lord…!" Bai Yu's hands trembled slightly as he clutched the newspaper.

"Sengoku, you absolute genius… No, you absolute bastard!"

This wasn't just an ordinary smear campaign—this was a world-class setup designed to pit Bai Yu against every major power on the seas.

Now, not only would Kaido, Big Mom, and Whitebeard be after him, but even the Golden Lion himself might hunt him down for sullying his name.

"Shichibukai, Yonko, Marines… hell, even the Golden Lion might come after me! Sengoku, you really know how to make a guy popular!"

"Bai Yu, is the Golden Lion really your teacher?" Nami asked suspiciously, eyeing him from the side.

Even Kaya glanced over with curiosity.

"Didn't you say you had no relatives, Brother Bai Yu?"

"Never met him in my life!" Bai Yu denied instantly. "And besides, do any of you even know who the Golden Lion is?"

The three girls exchanged confused looks and shook their heads.

"Exactly," Bai Yu said, folding the newspaper. "No point explaining then. He's a relic of the past anyway."

Still, Bai Yu couldn't deny it—the Golden Lion's Devil Fruit was incredible.

Controlling everything he touched, from islands and clouds to ships and even the air itself—what a terrifying power.

If it were him, he'd use the Fuwa Fuwa no Mi to its full potential:

• Splitting islands apart at will.

• Controlling air currents to create storms.

• Manipulating whirlpools to sink enemy fleets instantly.

• Summoning meteorites from space to obliterate entire cities.

Hell, if Enel could fly to the moon, then the Golden Lion could probably haul an asteroid from space to destroy the world.

"What a waste of power… I should've been the one to get that fruit!" Bai Yu muttered under his breath.

A New Destination: The Goa Kingdom

Suddenly, Kaya's soft voice broke his thoughts:

"Brother Bai Yu, why did you decide to come to the Goa Kingdom?"

"To steal someone, of course."

Bai Yu's casual answer made the three girls blink.

"I mean, come on." He stretched lazily. "The system doesn't reward me for sitting around. I need to keep recruiting new crew members, or what's the point?"

Nami raised an eyebrow, her lips twitching into a smirk.

"Who is it this time? Must be someone special if you're pushing Shima Cloud to its limit."

Bai Yu shrugged.

"Just another crew member. No offense, Nojiko, but we need more than just one cook on board."

Nami tilted her head.

"So… all the crew members are gonna be women, huh?"

Bai Yu didn't even hesitate.

"The main ship will be an all-woman crew. The affiliated pirate fleets can be run by the guys. They'll work for us."

"Huh… sounds good to me!" Nami grinned.

Suddenly, Nojiko leaned over the railing, peering down at the village below.

"Hey, I see her! Is that her? The one with green hair and a headscarf?"

Bai Yu looked down.

There she was—Makino, a young woman with short dark green hair and a gentle smile, wearing a simple dress.

She greeted everyone she passed, her warm presence like a ray of sunshine.

"Wow… she looks so kind," Kaya murmured.

To Bai Yu's surprise, Nami seemed unusually excited.

"Are we just grabbing her, or is there something specific I should know?" she asked eagerly.

Bai Yu blinked.

"Why are you so excited all of a sudden?"

Kaya whispered softly beside him:

"She… she reminds me of my mother."

Bai Yu paused.

Orphans.

All three of them—Nami, Kaya, Nojiko—had grown up without their parents.

"Well then…" Bai Yu closed the newspaper and stood up. "Guess that settles it. I'll be right back."

With a burst of Teleportation, he vanished from the ship.

Foosha Village, Goa Kingdom

In the peaceful village of Foosha, Makino was enjoying the morning sun as she greeted the villagers.

She clutched a newspaper in her hand, her eyes scanning the headlines.

"He's around Luffy's age… I wonder how Luffy is doing these days?"

Suddenly, a shadow fell across her path.

Makino looked up—and her breath caught in her throat.

"You… it's you?!"

She recognized the young man instantly.

**Bai Yu—**the pirate with a billion-berry bounty.

Panic spread through the villagers.

"It's him! The pirate with a billion-berry bounty!"

"Quick! Inform the village chief!"

Makino clutched the newspaper tightly as Bai Yu approached with a calm, confident smile.

"You… What do you want?!" she asked, her voice trembling slightly.

Bai Yu tilted his head, his black hair blowing gently in the breeze.

"Isn't it obvious?"

He took a step forward—

"I'm here to steal you away, of course."

The villagers gasped in horror.

"Steal… Makino?!"

"Somebody call Garp!!"

But it was already too late.

Bai Yu raised his hand—

And vanished with Makino in a flash of Teleportation.

"NOOO!!!"
