Forcibly Taking Nami Aboard, MultiverseLottery

Chapter 14: CH 14

A Billion-Berry Pirate

In the peaceful village of Foosha, fear and tension gripped the air as villagers whispered among themselves, eyes locked onto the young pirate who stood casually in their midst. Even when the Red-Haired Pirates had first arrived, they'd caused a stir—but this? This was different.

A billion-berry bounty was no joke.

Bai Yu, however, seemed completely unbothered by the fear and suspicion surrounding him. With a wave of his hand and a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes, he addressed Makino directly.

"Hey there! I'm taking you with me—you're gonna be our cook. Don't worry, I'll take good care of you."

The villagers stiffened as Bai Yu continued without a care.

"No need to panic. So, got anything to pack?"

Makino stood frozen in place, her mind racing as she clutched the newspaper in her hands. His words barely registered until he stepped closer.

"Hey… Can you hear me?" Bai Yu prompted, tilting his head slightly.

"Huh? Oh… Sorry…"

Makino blinked, then forced herself to smile—soft and gentle as always, though her eyes dimmed slightly.

"I… I don't have anything to pack. Just… take me and leave the village alone."

So kind.

Bai Yu could see it immediately—Makino was the type to sacrifice herself to protect those she cared about. Even now, her main concern was ensuring no harm came to her village.

"Don't worry. You can come back anytime you want."

Without another word, Bai Yu stepped forward, scooped her up in his arms, and vanished into thin air with a burst of Teleportation.

"M-Makino! No!"

The village chief, who had been hobbling toward the scene as fast as his legs could carry him, nearly dropped his cane in shock.

"Damn pirates! Call Vice Admiral Garp—NOW!"

Back on the Ship

In the blink of an eye, Bai Yu reappeared on the Island Cloud Boat, still holding Makino securely.

The moment she saw her surroundings, Makino found herself face-to-face with three curious and beautiful girls, their eyes sparkling with interest.

"Sister!" Kaya greeted her sweetly, stepping forward with an excited smile. "Introduce yourself—name, age, hobbies, and tell us your dream!"

Nami and Nojiko flanked her eagerly, both waiting for an answer.

Caught slightly off guard, Makino paused, then smiled back at the trio's warmth.

"Hello… I'm Makino. I'm 29 years old. I love making wine, and my dream… is to see everyone around me happy."

"Wow! She's so gentle!"

Immediately, the three girls closed in, chatting animatedly with their new crewmate and completely ignoring Bai Yu.

"…"

Bai Yu blinked.

"Alright… I guess I'll set sail then."

Shrugging off their indifference, Bai Yu focused his energy and activated Teleportation once more—this time taking the entire ship with him.

Return to Cocoyashi Village

In an instant, the Island Cloud Boat appeared high above Cocoyashi Village, one of the nearest coordinates Bai Yu had previously marked.

Nami glanced down, eyes lighting up in recognition.

"Hey! That's home! Bai Yu, stop here—I wanna show Sister Makino around! We'll be back soon!"

Before Bai Yu could respond, the four girls were already flying down to the village on a small cloud platform, chatting and laughing as they went.

"…"

"Women, huh?" Bai Yu muttered with a shake of his head before drawing his sword and resuming his "potential" training.

One Hour Later

When the girls returned, Nami waved cheerfully from the sky before landing back on the deck with the others.

"All done!" she announced brightly.

Bai Yu's eyes shifted toward Makino, his gaze calm and unreadable.

"So… have you made your choice?"

Makino hesitated for a brief moment, then nodded with a gentle smile.

"Yes… I'll join you."

After everything she'd learned from Nami, Kaya, and Nojiko during their short tour—about Bai Yu's ability to teleport instantly to places he'd visited, including her home village—she knew running away wasn't an option.

Besides, she could see the kindness in the three girls' eyes.

"Wise decision," Bai Yu replied, his expression finally warming into a genuine smile. "From now on, you're family. And I take care of my family."

Makino's heart softened slightly at the sincerity in his voice, though she still found this pirate's behavior a little… unusual.

A White Lie for the Village

"Do you need to pack anything? I can take you back to Foosha Village right now if you want to say goodbye," Bai Yu offered casually.

Makino hesitated, unsure how to respond.

"I'll leave that up to you," she said at last, her smile as polite as ever.

Without another word, Bai Yu wrapped his arms around her and vanished once again, reappearing moments later back in the middle of Foosha Village.

Foosha Village

"Makino! You're back!"

The village chief, still flustered and fuming, hobbled toward them with his cane raised.

"You damn pirates! Give Makino back right now!"

Before Bai Yu could respond, Makino stepped forward and raised her hands in a calming gesture.

"Grandpa… it's alright. I've known Captain Bai Yu for a long time. I was just joking earlier—I've decided to go to sea with him of my own free will."

"Eh? Really?!"

The village chief blinked in confusion, glancing between Makino and Bai Yu as if trying to process her words.

"But Makino, you've always been—"

"It's okay. Everyone has to leave home someday. Don't worry—I'll be safe. And I can come back to visit anytime."

For a moment, the village chief said nothing—then let out a heavy sigh and shook his head.

"Ah… well, I suppose the child's grown up. Always wanted to see the world, didn't you? Just be careful out there. And you—" He pointed his cane at Bai Yu. "—Take good care of her, you hear? If anything happens to Makino, I'll personally call Garp and have him hunt you down!"

Bai Yu: "…"

"This village… has too many connections," he muttered under his breath.

With everything settled and Makino's belongings quickly gathered, Bai Yu teleported back to the ship with her in his arms.

The Lottery System Activates

As the Island Cloud Boat began its journey once more, Bai Yu returned to his cabin, closing the door behind him before activating the System.

"System, start the lottery!"

"Ding! Makino has been successfully recruited as a crew member/subordinate. Initiating lottery from the Myriad Realms!"

"Ding! Congratulations! You have obtained the item: Dog Talisman!"

Bai Yu's eyes widened in surprise.

"The Dog Talisman… from the Twelve Talismans of the Zodiac?!"

In the world of Jackie Chan Adventures, the Dog Talisman granted immortality and eternal youth.

"Ding! Optimization mechanism detected. Optimize?"

"Optimize!" Bai Yu commanded without hesitation.

"Ding! Optimization complete. The Dog Talisman has evolved into the innate talent: IMMORTALITY!"

Bai Yu's heart pounded with excitement as he examined the information panel:

Innate Talent: IMMORTALITY

• Immortal I: Eternal youth, eternal life—never aging, never dying.

• Immortal II: Immune to all fatal injuries. Any attack that would kill you is nullified.

• Immortal III: Talent cannot be stolen, copied, or removed.

"Immortal… I'm immortal!"

Bai Yu clenched his fists, feeling his pulse quicken as power surged through his veins.

Now, no matter what enemy he faced—Kaido, Big Mom, Whitebeard, or even Im himself—

They could no longer kill him.

"Hah! Come at me, world—let's see if you can handle an immortal Demon King!"
