"I've missed you," he said, his voice low and husky.

"Who's that?" Charlotte asked, her voice tight with tension.

Ethan's eyes locked onto the woman, a mixture of guilt and longing on his face.

"That's Victoria," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "My fiancée."

Charlotte felt like she'd been punched in the gut. Fiancée?

She took a step back, her eyes locked onto Ethan's. "You're engaged?"
