Chapter 391: 382 traps

On the flying saucer, two Benefactors looked at Bai Zhongqi, who was shooting to kill, and were utterly dumbfounded.

"Is this Earthling an idiot?" Shen Shen Zhe Ruofu called out, "He's actually killing our people right in front of our flying saucer. Doesn't he know our flying saucer can blast him into nothingness?"

"Unfortunately, we can't do that," Qian Ya Zhi Ji Yangbo sighed, "We need to capture one or two living Earthlings as much as possible."

"Then go catch him."

In this game, both sides considered the other as their prey.

Bai Zhongqi looked at the open door of the flying saucer and then, hearing movement, saw a group of oddly shaped aliens with weapons charging down. These aliens were no longer purely Baburondi, but clearly of multiple races, each with distinct physiological traits and weapons suited to their bodies.

"Let's begin, then." Bai Zhongqi raised his gun and started attacking: one, two, three, four, five.

The scene immediately descended into chaos. Five Autochthonous Warriors wielding Iridium Star weapons continuously dodged and shifted positions, seeking cover and shooting at the group of Benefactor's vassal warriors. The vassal warriors kept getting hit, but they were numerous and their assault fierce.

In no time, many of the Shelter's occupants became the unlucky ones caught in the crossfire; even Lian hurriedly pulled his nephew and rolled behind an armored truck for cover.

"These Star Alliance people, how reckless they are to start fighting like this," Lian regretted. He usually thought of Bai Zhongqi as a very rational person, yet at a critical moment, to his surprise, he lacked patience and directly started the fight.

Bai Zhongqi's Agent abilities were quite strong, and the vassal warriors rushing down from the flying saucer weren't much of a threat. Their weapons were no match for Star Alliance standard arms, and Bai Zhongqi quickly took down a swath of them. However, now Bai Zhongqi could not relax, not only because of the flying saucer that could destroy his five Agents at any moment, but also because he had a very bad feeling in his heart.

On the flying saucer, Qian Ya Zhi Ji Yangbo watched the Autochthonous Warriors flipping around below, like the male lead in a sci-fi action movie, and said, "With skills like that, they must be outstanding warriors from Earth."

"No, these are not real humans," Shen Shen Zhe Ruofu said.

To deal with the enemy, Bai Zhongqi finally used the Agents' abilities. Each Agent demonstrated their unique skills, and it was obvious from the weapons and light beams shooting out from their bodies that these Agents were not real humans, but modified bionic humans.

"So, that's how it is," Qian Ya Zhi Ji Yangbo exclaimed in surprise. Making mechanical warriors was not unusual in many universe civilizations, but to create ones like the Star Alliance did, completely indistinguishable from humans and even capable of eating and sleeping, was truly innovative.

"Then there is no need to keep these few around," Qian Ya Zhi Ji Yangbo quickly decided. "What about the remaining two? They have not engaged in the fight yet and must undoubtedly be real Earthlings, capture them."

Shen Shen Zhe Ruofu smiled and said, "Alright, let the show begin."

Bai Zhongqi kept firing, when suddenly, he sensed danger and immediately leaped backward, just as a stream of bullets hit where he had been standing. The flying saucer's weapons had fired at him.

Bai Zhongqi dared not delay; unlike the light arms used by the infantry, the firepower on the flying saucer was in a different league. Now that the Benefactors were directly attacking him with the flying saucer's weapons, he felt as though he was standing on the edge of a cliff, constantly being buffeted by strong winds.

"Wait, what are those...?" Bai Zhongqi glanced at the sky unintentionally and then saw something even more shocking—more flying saucers of the same model had arrived. Like the previous one, they were not from outer space but were based locally.

A total of eight flying saucers arrived at Bei Mountain's main peak. As the remainder arrived one after the other, the same gangways were lowered, and aliens from various races with strange appearances began to leap down from the not so spacious hatch, weaponry in hand, and moved to surround Bai Zhongqi.

"It's a trap!" Bai Zhongqi realized a grave situation. If the Benefactors knew of the Star Alliance's presence on Taoran Star and reckoned the Star Alliance intended to scout the Benefactor civilization, they would definitely react. While the Star Alliance and the Benefactors were not in direct war, they were definitely potential enemies with little room for maneuvering.

Now as Bai Zhongqi came to Bei Mountain's grand market, the Benefactors had set an ambush right there, surrounding him with nine flying saucers and over a thousand vassal warriors.

The Benefactors likely didn't know his real identity, but for similar reasons, they would certainly want to gather intelligence from the Earthlings. The Benefactors understood that as long as they were on this planet, information couldn't be transmitted, they could only communicate through physical transmission of information, which meant that whatever Bai Zhongqi had learned had not yet been completely synced with the Star Alliance.

But that was not the case. Bai Zhongqi was controlling the Agents with the Supreme Command, and whatever the Agents saw was also Bai Zhongqi's observation, which had already been organized and uploaded to the database.

Bai Zhongqi had no time to guess what the Benefactors were up to; he now had to survive this predicament.

At that moment, on the surface of Taoran Star, six medium-sized universe warships were slowly breaking free from the planet's gravitational pull and gently ascending into space.

The peculiar atmosphere of Taoran Star made any orbital facility, even the Yinglong Cruiser hidden on Taoran's second satellite, unaware of any activity on Taoran Star. This was because optical detection devices couldn't penetrate the planet's special atmosphere.

Not until a massive Benefactor Warship rose from the atmosphere of Taoran Star and adjusted its course to target the Yinglong Cruiser above Taoran's second satellite.

Bai Zhongqi immediately received information relayed back from the Yinglong Cruiser, which, being outside the planet, was unaffected by communication disruptions. He received images from the Yinglong Cruiser; these six Benefactor Warships bore little resemblance in appearance to Star Alliance ships, looking more like multifaceted rugby balls with two massive guns directly on the bow.

Without a doubt, the targets of these warships were the Star Alliance's Heavy Cruiser.

Not only were Bai Zhongqi and the others trapped on Taoran Star, but also the Star Alliance warship prepared by Bai Zhongqi had fallen into the enemy's trap. The hostile Benefactors clearly intended to deplete all of the Star Alliance's resources invested in Taoran Star.

Bai Zhongqi also became fierce: "Since you want to play, I'll play along to the very end!"
