Genshin impact : Elysia endroses me!!!

Chapter 23: Chapter 22: Kiana – Huh? Isn't This Character Me?

"What's wrong with that? Look at the game's theme: Fight for all the good in the world. Isn't that positive enough?"

"What about something more... uplifting?"

Mo Li scratched his face awkwardly. He couldn't really blame anyone; after all, he wasn't the one who wrote the game's story. That responsibility belonged to the real plot planner.

Quickly, he tried to change the subject with a laugh. "You're talking back to me now. Looks like your mood has stabilized!"

Ji Zi, however, only glared at him.

"Haha... So, how's the dubbing going?"

Ji Zi huffed but eventually answered, "We've finished recording Chapter 9."

"Great, let me take a look."

Mo Li retrieved the data and uploaded it to his computer.

The other girls, curious about what had made Ji Zi so emotional, quickly gathered around.

Since most of them only had minor roles in this chapter, they weren't familiar with the full story yet. But they knew one thing—Ji Zi had cried a lot while recording it.

Now, they were eager to find out why.

As the scenes played out, they became fully immersed in the story.

The Story Unfolds

The game's main storyline followed Theresa as she wielded the God Key against the Herrscher of the Sky.

Then came Otto's shocking betrayal—he killed Fu Hua and negotiated with the Herrscher of the Sky.

The girls had already heard about this part since Fu Hua had recorded her lines earlier while they were watching.

But the real drama was yet to come.

In previous chapters, Ji Zi's declining health had only been hinted at. Most players assumed she had just suffered minor injuries from battle.

However, Chapter 9 finally revealed the harsh truth.

The game explained the cruel fate of the Valkyries: it was rare for an ordinary Valkyrie to live past 30.

On one hand, constant battles against Honkai Beasts put their lives in danger.

On the other, using Honkai Energy as a weapon meant their own bodies were slowly being corroded by it.

Ji Zi had been a Valkyrie for years. Even in-game, Kiana called her "Aunt," and now it was clear why—it wasn't just out of respect.

Her body had been severely damaged by Honkai Energy.

If nothing changed, her time was running out.

The girls, now visibly worried about Ji Zi's fate, continued watching.

Then, out of nowhere, Fu Hua appeared in the game's story and handed Ji Zi a vial of medicine.

She explained that it could neutralize the Honkai Energy in Ji Zi's body, slowing down its destructive effects.

But there was a catch.

If Ji Zi injected the serum, she would lose her Valkyrie powers and become an ordinary woman.

At this revelation, the girls felt a wave of relief.

"At least she won't die," someone murmured.

But as the story continued, their hopes were crushed.

Ji Zi didn't use the serum for herself.

Instead, she gave it to Tesla, asking her to develop a special potion to fight against the Herrscher.

As for herself, she chose another path—one that would lead her to battle.

Ji Zi donned the fourth-generation God-Killing Armor of Destiny and prepared to confront the Herrscher of the Sky head-on.

This armor, equipped with the Plague Gem, allowed her to fight on even terms with the Herrscher—at least for a little while.

And so, Ji Zi charged into battle.

Thanks to her sacrifice, the others successfully activated the Moonlight Throne weapon, repelling the Herrscher of the Sky.

The chapter ended.

The girls sat in silence, digesting what they had just seen.

But something still didn't add up.

"Wait... That was a tragic story, but why did Ji Zi cry so much?"

Ji Zi, as if reading their thoughts, spoke up.

"There's a CG animation at the end... It was that scene that got to me."

"Ohhh, that makes sense!"

"Boss, play that video!"

"Yeah, now I really want to see it!"

Surrounded by a group of excited, beautiful girls, Mo Li couldn't help but feel happy.

He didn't waste any time. With a click, the MP4 file started playing.

Meanwhile, at a High School

At a nearby high school, Kiana sat in class, bored out of her mind.

She twirled a pen in her fingers as the teacher's voice droned on like a lullaby.

Suddenly, she felt a tug on her sleeve.

Turning her head, she found herself staring into a pair of mischievous eyes.

"Hu Tao? What's up?"

Hu Tao glanced at the teacher to make sure they weren't being watched, then discreetly pulled out her phone.

"Kiana, take a look at this. Doesn't this anime character look just like you?"

On the screen was an image of a stunning girl.

She had long, snow-white hair tied into twin ponytails and wore a sleek white battle suit. A faint smile played on her lips.

At first, Kiana was just captivated by the girl's beauty.

But then, she took a closer look—

Wait a minute...

Isn't this me?!

The resemblance was uncanny. Sure, there was a difference between real life and animation, but those blue eyes, the white twin braids...

It was like looking in a mirror.

Kiana almost yelped in surprise, but she caught herself just in time.

"Hu Tao... Is this... me?"

"That's what I'm asking you!" Hu Tao whispered back. "I found this image in our class group chat."

She scrolled to the next picture.

"And this one... doesn't she look just like your sister, Mei?"

"Huh?!"

Kiana's eyes widened as she stared at the screen.

She quickly pulled out her own phone and scrolled through the class chat.

Hu Tao smirked. "Apparently, this character is from a game. When our classmates noticed that her name was also 'Kiana' and that she looked exactly like you, they started posting about it."

"When I first saw it, I nearly had a heart attack."

"A game?"

A thought suddenly struck Kiana.

She remembered Mei playing a certain game recently...

Could it be—?

"Did my sister use me as a character model for her game?"

Excited, Kiana started searching for information about the game.

It didn't take long before she found what she was looking for.

MiHuyou.

A spark of realization flashed in her eyes.

"So, it really is my sister's game..."

"Wait, this game was made by your sister?" Hu Tao asked, surprised.

Kiana nodded quickly, a hint of warmth in her expression.

"MiHuyou Studio was founded by my sister and her friends."

"I can't believe she actually put me in the game..."

She felt an unusual shyness creeping up—a rare moment for the normally energetic Kiana.

Hu Tao, meanwhile, was putting the pieces together.

"So that's why people have been looking at us strangely when we walk around campus..."

"Now it makes sense! It's because of this game!"

Kiana grinned.

"Hey, Hu Tao, wanna come check out my sister's game studio after school?"

"Ooh, that sounds fun!" Hu Tao's eyes sparkled with interest.

"And while we're there, I should ask your sister to put me in the game too!"

Kiana laughed.

"If you were in the game, what kind of character would you be?"
