Similar to many of his experiences, a surge of energy coursed through him as he absorbed the memories of his past.
His vision blurred for a brief moment and his consciousness plunged into the depths of a memory when he was still within the Fairy Realm Invasion on Earth.
At this time, Shane found himself standing on top of a hill overlooking the vast expanse of the Fairy Realm that had integrated into this planet.
Unlike the Zombie Outbreak and the A.I. Rebellion, the surroundings here were rich with magic or mana, this was especially true as he stood closer to the World Tree, the sacred heart of the Fairy Realm's mystical land.
At this time, around him were the leaders of various races. These were true leaders and weren't just representatives of each race as he had met before.
They were Queen Sylvalis of the Elves, Chief Gorvar of the Centaurs, Throkma of the Trolls, Chieftain Snorak of the Gnolls, and a few others including the leaders of the Dwarves, Druids, and others.
At the center of it all was Shane… He wasn't wearing an attire like a space marine in the A. I Rebellion. Instead, he garbed in battle-worn leather and enchanted armor gifted by the elves.
There was also a mystical cloak given by the fairies as a mark of his status as a trusted champion of the Fairy Realm.
At this time, Shane spoke among the leaders.
"Today, we will be retaking the World Tree for the third and the last time to unite this world… The Vampires have corrupted the World Tree, poisoning its essence and enslaving our people. Today, we will root out this evil!"
They had already succeeded twice. They had reclaimed the World Tree two times already. However, the Vampires were simply able to take it back after gathering more Thralls, Lesser Vampires, Vampire Knights, and others.
Of course, during those items, Shane's status among the Fairy Realm's races had already been elevated several times.
There wasn't anyone looking down on him any more.
As he finished his speech, a cheer erupted from the gathered forces…
Then, the attack began at dawn, with Shane leading the charge.
The Vampires had rallied themselves in the roots of the World Tree… Looking at them closely, Shane recognized that aside from the Thralls and Lesser Vampires, their ranks was bolstered by a handful of Vampire Knights, Barons, and Counts. Each Vampire exuded a strong aura… They to be really careful if they don't want to be drained with life energy.
"Those few Barons and Counts were top Rankers." Shane muttered as he recognized the faces of some of them.
Needless to say, these Survivors had been turned into Vampires after Statham defeated them.
Anyway, Shane's memory quickly integrated in his mind.
He watched his battle against the Vampires and learned plenty of things.
First, his battle style in this realm was unlike what he had honed in the A.I. Rebellion Apocalypse. Here, he wielded mystical techniques learned from the system, elves, fairies, or maybe even centaurs…
"Am I going to get these skills later?" Shane thought as he believed that once he absorbed all the Memory Spheres, he would also learn all the skills he obtained here.
Anyway, Shane really liked the Sylvan Bladesong, a fluid sword style that seemed to be a dance movement.
He also had some skills he learned from the Druids like the Binding Roots that could summon thorny vines to entangle and immobilize enemies.
Then, there was also the Solar Flare Strike. An interesting way to attack where he could channel the sun's essence into his blades!
These skills would be quite interesting to use here in the Zombie Apocalypse world.
Anyway, as Shane battled the Vampire Knights, the alliance forces were behind him to clash against the Vampires.
The elves fired enchanted arrows that exploded on impact, the centaurs charged with powerful speed, and the trolls smashed through ranks of enemies with their immense strength.
It was a bit chaotic but the memories focused on his battle while giving some assistance to those closer to him.
After all, he had to concentrate well since the Vampires were no mere mindless beasts. They have decent intelligence and their leaders were especially cunning and powerful.
Among the enemies, Vampire Baron Erynos led an assault against the trolls, using his shadow magic to bind their movements. Needless to say, Erynos was previous a Survivor.
He was known as Shadow Lord… Shane couldn't help but shake his head seeing how the proud Survivor was turned into a Vampire.
There was also Vampire Countess Velisara. Velisara was previous his friend and supplier of a potions. She was an Alchemist after all.
This time, however, instead of making potions, she was now capable of launching devastating blood curses that withered the elves' frontline archers.
There were many other familiar Survivors who had turned into Vampires that Shane could see.
However, what was important was that Shane found himself face-to-face with Vampire Count Dregan, a hulking figure clad in dark crimson armor.
Dragon was previously the Rank 3 Survivor!
He had a talent called Titan that pushed his physical prowess to the limit.
At this time, instead of Titan's power, Dregan's greatsword emanated a black aura around it…"
"You've come far, Shane" Dregan spoke as his fanged grin became obvious.
"If you want to choose our side, you still have a chance. I will speak to Lord Statham for you." Dregan said, showing that his memories of his past were still there. He wasn't turned into an idiot lesser vampire at all.
"I'll kill you swiftly, Dregan… And we will reclaim the World Tree." Shane replied as he ignored the man's words. He was sure that Dregan would rather die than serve Statham. The loyalty he had with Statham was simply because of the blood flowing within his body.
"Heh! You overstep your bounds. The World Tree is ours, and through it, we'll ascend beyond this cursed game!"
