Since every Death Knight had similar attributes, Chen Mo casually selected fifteen to exist permanently.

After locking them in, he checked the "Undead Summoning·Divine" skill.

He found that this skill indeed wasn't affected by Cooldown and could only be used again the next day.

But after all, the summoned undead were permanent and powerful, so using it once a day wasn't much of an issue.

Moreover, this was just its pre-Non-Rebirth intensity. If he underwent a class advancement later, the skill's intensity would likely increase further.

The summoning interval should also shorten further by then.

After checking the strength of his summons, Chen Mo then turned his attention to the Wilderness Forest, located several kilometers away from the city tower.

According to the nearby guards, the monster tide surged from this area, so defending this side alone should be sufficient.

With a thought, Chen Mo applied "Undying Worship" and "Berserker Shield" to all the invisible Undead Units around him and commanded one hundred thousand Skeleton Monsters to fly towards the forest.

As one hundred thousand Skeleton Monsters dispersed and flew out majestically, it looked like a dense white cloud drifting into the distance. For now, however, only Chen Mo could witness this spectacle.

When Chen Mo dispatched the Skeleton Monsters, the city defense staff had already returned with the information he needed.

There are only three thousand effective combat personnel in the city? That's far too few for a monster tide.

He quickly checked the City Defense Equipment.

As expected, the City Defense Equipment was formidable!

There was the "Sky-crossing Crossbow," capable of firing thousands of crossbow bolts at once to repel enemies.

It was unclear whether the Messenger genuinely believed his own words or was just trying to bolster his own courage.

Watching him depart, Chen Mo paid it no further mind. He was currently synchronizing with the vision of the Skeleton Monsters under his command, perceiving the situation within the Wilderness Forest.

At Chen Mo's mental command, all the Skeleton Monsters descended into the forest.

They continued to explore deeper. Meanwhile, the time for the monster tide to assault the city was drawing near.

With only a minute remaining, Chen Mo's Skeleton Monsters had scouted a considerable distance further ahead but still hadn't detected anything.

Could the monster tide be spontaneously generated?

Just as Chen Mo was thinking this, he sensed a violent tremor in the ground through the Skeleton Monsters' Unity ability.

Immediately, he saw a massive horde of monsters charging out from the depths of the forest. Though they moved swiftly, they all instinctively avoided knocking down trees, expertly weaving through the woods.

So many!?

Chen Mo was astounded seeing the seemingly endless, densely packed horde of monsters.

He had previously heard of monster tides and seas of corpses, giving him only a vague impression. Now, facing a monster tide firsthand, Chen Mo truly understood how terrifying it could be.

The sheer number of monsters seemed capable of trampling anything in their path into dust.

While directing the Skeleton Monsters to continue flying forward at a certain altitude, Chen Mo said to another Messenger beside him, "Relay my orders! The monsters are about to attack the city! All personnel, prepare for battle! Blessing Masters, come apply buffs!"

The monsters are attacking?

The Messenger faltered for a moment, looking at the still seemingly tranquil forest ahead.

But since it was Lord Hero's command, he quickly went to carry it out.

Sure enough, not long after he relayed the order, everyone on the city tower clearly felt a tremor originating from deep within the forest.

Following the Messenger's announcement, Chen Mo had already dispelled the invisibility of most of the undead under his command.

A small portion retained their invisibility to continue scouting deeper into the forest, while the others materialized above the main body of the monster tide, launching a surprise attack to directly disrupt their charge.

Meanwhile, back on the city tower, Chen Mo deliberately had all his Skeleton Monsters and Death Knights reveal themselves.
