"Gods, there are so many! They fill the sky… We… we're saved now!"

Quite a few people were so moved they were on the verge of tears.

The number of Ghosts was staggering. It almost matched the quantity of the Demon Beast horde during their onslaught, a dense swarm covering the entire sky.

With all of Chen Mo's Ghosts revealed, the Blessing Masters immediately got to work.

Chen Mo's Heavenly Path notifications began to chime incessantly.

There was increased attack speed, increased attack power, increased damage, damage reduction, enhanced elemental resistance, and improved control resistance, among others.

It could be said that almost every conceivable blessing had been applied.

At this point, the combat power of these Ghosts was off the charts.

Luckily, damage reduction effects still work on them.

The Demon Beasts in the first wave were slightly easier to deal with, each possessing an attack power of only about 10,000.

Chen Mo dispatched twenty Death Knights to lead 10,000 Skeleton Monsters to protect the City Defense Equipment. Meanwhile, the remaining 90,000 Skeleton Monsters launched an immediate attack on the incoming Demon Beast horde.

While 90,000 Skeleton Monsters ambushed the mid-section of the Demon Beast horde in the forest, the other 90,000 Skeleton Monsters uniformly swung their Magic Wands. They unleashed a rain of Energy Bullets at the Demon Beasts charging on the ground!

THWACK! THWACK! THWACK...!!!

As the Energy Bullets continuously struck their targets, these low-defense, low-Health Demon Beasts were instantly killed or grievously wounded.

As they died, their bodies collapsed, tripping a large number of the Demon Beasts still charging forward.

CRASH! BANG! BANG! BANG! A large number of them tumbled and fell in disarray.

Chen Mo was somewhat speechless. Shouldn't there be a stampede causing these Demon Beasts to trample and kill each other in droves?

That's completely unrealistic!

Originally, the Demon Beast horde held an overwhelming numerical advantage. However, as the Skeleton Monsters began to eliminate Demon Beasts, an increasing number of them transformed into Undead Beasts. The tide of battle started to shift dramatically.

Although many of these newly created Undead Beasts were killed by other Demon Beasts, it hardly mattered—the losses were ultimately on the Demon Beasts' side.

On Chen Mo's side, not a single Skeleton Monster had perished. All the casualties were Undead Beasts that had been transformed from Demon Beasts.

These Undead Beasts only had a lifespan of one minute and couldn't be stored in the reclusion space. Their power level also didn't warrant Chen Mo placing them into the extremely rare Special Containment Space. Keeping them served no other purpose, so their current deployment maximized their utility.

Originally, I thought the key to this instance was to protect all the City Defense Equipment, Chen Mo mused. But now, with Death Summons, it seems like I'm actually starting to push back the enemy.

Soon, there were almost no living Demon Beasts to be seen in front of the tower.

Moreover, this wave of undeath was pushing further and further out.

Eventually, not a single living Demon Beast could be seen even at the entrance to the forest.
