Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Chapter 1168 Howard Mason (Head of the True Elements Society)

From MC's Perspective:

After receiving the treasure, I returned to the room and sat back in my seat.

"Did you get it?" Paul Lin asked.

"Yes, but she made the condition," I replied with a hint of worry in my eyes.

Paul Lin raised his eyebrows in surprise. But he wasn't too shocked. He knows that it's not easy to get that Golden fruit from her.

"What condition?" Paul Lin asked.

"I'll tell you about this," Stella appeared back. The brick walls behind her returned to normal.

Experience tales at empire

She then sat on her seat and looked at both of them.

"I don't know how you found out. But the value of the Golden Fruit is very high. Even our elders are fighting for it," She said.

"The kid has promised me to do missions for us. But I don't think it's enough. He should join us to do high-ranking missions."

"Otherwise, we won't be able to give him classified missions. Since he is not our member," Stella added. She has thought it through completely.

She appreciates the talent of Vincent Carey in the field of intelligence gathering. Which he has already demonstrated in the previous mission.

If not for Vincent Carey, she wouldn't be able to find the Transmutation Wizard quickly. And she knows that the killer has killed far more people than the outside world knew.

So, in that way, Vincent Carey has protected the public from harm.

Paul Lin was speechless. He had thought of several scenarios. But this has never come to his mind. Stella had made an out of the blue request.

And her request seems to be genuine. Paul Lin was aware that top-class missions were only accessed by the Department members.

Paul Lin doesn't know what to say for a second. He turned towards Vincent and asked, "What do you think?"

Feeling both of their gazes. I sighed inwardly before saying, "The Golden Fruit is important to me. Especially when there are people who were after my life. I want to increase my strength as quickly as possible."

My honest answer made both of them stunned.

Paul Lin squinted his eyes before realizing something. He had overlooked the fact that Vincent Carey was facing too much pressure.

Not only the Perry Family is hostile to him. Now, the Clonius Family is against him as well.

"Vincent, it's the fault of us. You were recommended by the Mage Union. Normally, you should be given more care. Instead, you are facing life-threatening dangers here."

"I didn't even know that the Aristocratic Families would be so bold in their actions. Only the Head of our organisation can solve the internal trouble," Paul Lin said, seriously.

He didn't mind the presence of Stella. He knows that Stella is the Head of the Intelligence Department. She knows the information as well.

"Elder it's fine. It's not only because of their threat. I want to grow as well," I replied.

Stella, on the other hand, realised something.

"If the kid joins their department, then she has to worry about the Aristocratic Families as well. She was sure that they would not let him go by then," She thought.

After weighing the pros and cons, he decides to take back the condition. Because she still wants to maintain the face of the neutral faction members.

"Alright, I take back my condition. But if it's necessary, I need your help to do some missions from time to time," She said.

Hearing that I'm stunned. I didn't expect her to take back the condition right away.

Paul Lin's eyes flickered, and he immediately connected the dots. He was surprised by her quick analysis.

He then said, "Well, thank you. Elder Stella."

After speaking a few other things, we left the intelligence tower. Stella saw both of them leaving the room. She sighed inwardly.

She hopes Vincent will join the Intelligence Department. But the current internal politics is so fragile that she doesn't want any conflict to arise.

...

Meanwhile,

In the most dangerous place in the Ancient Redwood Country. It's been over a few weeks since the space crack appeared. Since it's located in the middle of an abandoned battlefield.

The surrounding spatial stability is weak in this place. Any destruction would lead to a bigger catastrophe. But a single person inspects these space cracks.

His figure appears transparent before the space cracks. Like his presence did not affect reality. For other wizards, this place is a graveyard for them.

But this person is inspecting the place with ease. He appears to be a middle-aged man with short black hair and eyes. He is almost 7ft tall. His skin tone is pale. He is wearing black leather clothes and a mage robe on top of it.

The person is none other than Howard Mason. He is the Head of the True Elements Society. He has a robust physique. If anyone from the outside looks at him, they would treat him as a normal high-ranking wizard.

But he is a Magic Lord, more powerful than the Level-10 Supreme Wizard. Howard found the space cracks interesting. As he gets an idea about where the space cracks are leading.

"I didn't expect the ancient battlefield to contain a secret land. Mana feels more ancient and richer than today's environment," He thought.

But it's a pity. No Advanced Rank Wizard or above can enter inside. Even for him, it would be difficult to go inside the space cracks and explore.

That's why he is inspecting it from outside.

A few minutes later,

He decides to leave. He came to this place to investigate the Ancient Battlefield. Right now, he has found something interesting. If he wanted to take the next step, then he had to go back to his organisation and make further plans.

"I have been away for some time. I don't know what the council elders have done," He sighed inwardly. He was well aware of the internal politics.

As a Head, he is doing everything to resolve the problem, but the ambitions of these Aristocratic Families make him make difficult decisions.
