Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Chapter 1172: Assemble

From MC's Perspective:

Time passed,

When it was evening time. I stopped reading the notes. There are few translated notes left. I decided to read them tomorrow. Then I stood up and placed the notes back on the shelves.

The information recorded in the notes made my horizon widen. In old times, wizards spent time creating spell models from scratch.

Which is a dangerous practice. Any small misstep can cause irreversible damage. Yet wizards in old times were daring and had wide knowledge.

At the current time, I'm reaping their benefits by accepting the spell model. I never thought of creating one. No wonder there is a lack of magic spells when it comes to Gravity Magic.

I still have many empty spell slots. Maybe in the future, I can develop my spell model. After pushing down these thoughts, I left the library.

The Librarian was still busy reading books.

When I reached the lecture hall. I received a message from Elder Paul. He wants my presence in his office as soon as possible.

After reading the message, I made my way towards the office. When I arrived at his office. I saw Elder Paul Lin sitting behind his desk.

"You are here. Good, take your seat," Paul said, straightforwardly.

I sat opposite him. A hint of surprise appeared in my eyes. Because Elder Paul looks more serious than usual.

"Elder, what happened?" I asked.

"Well, indeed something has happened. The Head of the True Elements Society is back from his trip. He has found a new secret land in some abandoned battlefield. He is taking a team of 10 high-level wizards with him to explore the place."

"Your name was on the list as well," He added.

My eyes filled with surprise.

"Wait, how does the head know me?"

"And where is he taking me?" I asked out of curiosity.

The sudden appearance of the Head of the True Elements Society made my mind go blank.

"Don't be afraid. The Head hates the Aristocratic Families. He is on our side," Paul replied, as he saw Vincent showing hesitation.

"Why me?" I asked back.

"He asked Elder Stella to create a name list of talented high-level wizards who don't belong to Aristocratic Families."

"And Elder Stella gave your name as well. And Head mentioned that he believes in your Sub-Taboo Grade Magic. You can fight across levels," Paul Lin said with a smile.

He was even shocked by the information earlier. The Head knows everything like he has eyes and ears all around the campus.

Only after hearing this, I sighed inwardly. For a second, I thought another greater conspiracy was developing.

"So, what do I have to do?" I asked. Now, I'm more interested in this mission. Since this is going to be the first time for me to go outside of the True Elements Society Territory.

Paul Lin showed an approved look in his eyes. He thought Vincent would reject it. Now, he can see that Vincent is ready to face challenges.

"I don't know much about this mission. But I know that it's an exploration mission. You just have to explore the place with others."

"The secret land might involve some dangers like monsters and traps where you have to clear them out," Paul Lin explains the basic do's and don'ts.

A few minutes later,

I got some pictures of it. I'm relieved that no one from the Aristocratic Families was coming. So I can be at ease when doing the mission.

"I'll pick you up at the dorm building tomorrow morning," Paul Lin said.

Then I nodded to him before standing up to leave.

20 minutes later,

I returned to my dorm building.

Meanwhile,

No one has an idea that the Head, Howard Mason, has returned. If the Council Elders knew about it, then they would have stopped all of their work to go and meet him.

Yet Howard Mason only told a few people in all Mage Departments. He wants a 10-member team to explore the new secret land that he found.

The following day,

After getting ready, I left the room and walked downstairs. When I reached the lobby. I saw Elder Paul Lis talking to the Dorm Manager.

I raised my eyebrows in surprise. I didn't expect him to chat with the Dorm Manager.

"Vincent, let's go. Others are waiting for you," Paul said.

"Okay," I replied. Then we walked out of the dorm building.

Before I could say anything, he grabbed my shoulder. The next second, we appeared in the air, moving towards a certain location.

Everything seems a mystery to me. Why doesn't he tell me everything? The exploration of secret land sounds nice. I can tell that there is a reason why the Head hadn't made it public yet.

Shortly afterwards,

We landed on the airfield. Seeing that, I was surprised. It's the place where the organisation's airships, aircraft and other big air carriers are kept here.

Even for me, it's my first time here. Just as I'm pondering.

"Vincent, let's go there. They are waiting inside the shed," Paul Lin said.

Hearing that I turned around and started following him towards the shed.

When we entered inside. I immediately got attracted by the presence of the middle-aged man who is giving off a similar vibe to the crippled old man back in the Yellow River Academy.

A look of realisation dawned on me.

I know the strength of the crippled old man. He is stronger than a level-10 Wizard. If the person in front of me is at the same level as him, I can say that he is probably the Head of the True Elements Society.

But what confuses me, though, is the appearance. He seems to be a middle-aged man.

On the other hand, Elder Paul is speaking to the Head Howard Mason. Elder Stella standing next to him as well.

The next second, I found his gaze on me. Before I could say something.

[Ding! Warning]

[The Magic Lord is trying to probe the host]

[But all of his attempts were thwarted instantly]

A mechanical voice sounded in my mind. I sighed inwardly. I was so close to exposing myself.

Howard Mason showed a surprised expression. He wasn't able to sense the Magic Level of a newcomer in his organisation. He feels absurd. What's more, he is the Magic Lord.

It should be an easy thing for him. Yet he wasn't able to find out Vincent Carey's strength.

"Interesting," Howard muttered to himself.

He can see that the young man is hiding secrets. A secret that can prevent his senses as well. But he didn't think too much about it.

The young man was backed by the Mage Union. Howard thinks that they have made some arrangements to save his life. He made an answer for himself.

Elder Stella and Elder Paul look at the two of them as well. Because others are yet to come. So their attention turned towards Vincent.

"Head, I have been thinking of adding Vincent to our department as well. He has talent in the field of intelligence gathering," Stella said all of a sudden.

Her sudden intervention quickly broke the ice.

Howard Mason quickly let go of the matter regarding Vincent Carey's secrets. Rather he turned towards Stella and asked, "Are you pleased by this young man's help to catch the Transmutation Wizard?"

"Yes, with his capability. He should do more missions for us," Stella said.

Paul Lin feels a headache. He thought this woman had given up hope. Now she is bringing the matter yet again with the Head of the True Elements Society.

"Head, don't listen to her. Supreme Wizard Phylia has asked me to take care of the kid. She won't allow him to enter another department," Paul Lin interjected.

He fears that Head might want Vincent to join the Intelligence Department. Now, he wonders whether it was the right decision to accept the task from Elder Stella.

Swoosh!

"Oh, Elder Paul. You came before us," A loud voice sounded all of a sudden.

Hearing that everyone turned around. I felt a sigh of relief. Fortunately, someone came to break this awkward situation. I'm not ready to have any conversation with the Head of the True Elements Society.

I have a slight guess he has found something about me. The system has blocked his prying which must have aroused some suspicion.

A bulky middle-aged man landed on the ground. Right next to him, there are three young wizards slightly older than me. But they are well built as well.

But their badges drew my attention.

A brown castle can be seen on their badges. My eyes flickered as I recognised the badges. It's been some time since I became a member of the True Elements Society.

Apart from the Beast Bloodline Department and the Beast Taming Department which troubles me. I know what other departments are.

This brown castle belongs to the Department of the Earth Elemental Department.

"Big guy, you just saved me right now," Paul Lin replied, jokingly.

"Ha...Ha...Ha....," The bulky wizard let out a laugh and turned towards the Head of the True Elements Society.
