Chapter 2: Chapter 2: The Hidden Base

The ground beneath the car began to slowly descend, like a modern parking lot's automated system.

But this wasn't powered by machinery—it was fueled by "chakra."

The platform came to a stop in a vast underground space, which had been Kyle's home for the past five years.

After parking the car, Kyle used the Earth Release: Earth Core technique to raise the platform back to ground level, sealing it seamlessly as if nothing had ever been there.

Grabbing the briefcase from the passenger seat, Kyle approached a sturdy iron door—the entrance to his true living quarters.

Inside, the base was equipped with all the necessities for life, along with recreational and fitness facilities. It was a luxurious underground haven.

Deeper underground, generators hummed, providing a steady supply of electricity.

Looking over his handiwork, a proud smile spread across Kyle's face.

Over the past five years, he had unknowingly built up quite the impressive setup.

Placing the briefcase on the central table in the living area, Kyle began to inspect his spoils from the night.

As he opened the briefcase, stacks of Franklin bills greeted him, and his smile widened. This was the most lucrative haul he'd had since leaving the orphanage five years ago.

Yes, Kyle was an orphan. By all accounts, he should have been living in an orphanage or with a foster family.

But Kyle had another identity—a transmigrator from the China.

A bolt of lightning had struck him, sending him hurtling through time and space.

When he woke up, he was a one-year-old child in the year 1980.

After piecing together the world through newspapers, he realized it was nearly identical to the one he'd left behind, just a few decades earlier.

His original plan was to quietly grow up in the orphanage, make his first fortune, and then leverage his knowledge of future events to rise to the top.

But that plan hit a snag when he turned six.

Kyle discovered he had superpowers.

One day, he felt a surge of electricity coursing through his body, and energy erupted uncontrollably.

When he came to his senses, the area around him was in shambles.

Luckily, no one had been around to witness it. He quickly cleaned up the mess and pretended nothing had happened.

After numerous secret experiments, Kyle, drawing from his extensive knowledge of web novels and anime, found a way to roughly control and utilize the energy within him.

He used hand signs—or "seals."

Wait… so his cheat ability was chakra?

To avoid drawing attention to himself and to have a place to train, Kyle left the orphanage and settled in this abandoned factory in Brooklyn.

During the day, he practiced the ninjutsu and taijutsu he remembered from Naruto.

At night, to make ends meet, he roamed the streets, looking for unsuspecting thugs willing to "donate" their cash.

The unpredictability of his ninjutsu gave him the ability to easily overpower ordinary adults, making street punks no match for him.

After years of trial and error, Kyle had mastered a few basic water and earth release techniques.

This hidden underground base was the result of countless hours and effort, built using earth release ninjutsu.

As his combat skills improved, Kyle's targets shifted from petty thugs to more dangerous gang members. After all, the former rarely carried more than a few bills, while the latter…

The briefcase of cash in front of him was proof of how lucrative they could be.

After roughly counting his earnings, Kyle tossed the stacks of bills into a nearby safe.

But just as he was about to close the safe door, he heard an unusual sound—the chakra-powered elevator to his base had been activated.
