Harry Potter: Shippuden

Chapter 4: Chapter 4: From Ninja to Wizard

Wait… wasn't this the character from the movie Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone that he'd watched in his past life?

When he'd transmigrated, the remake of Philosopher's Stone had just been released.

He'd seen Harry Potter fans everywhere online, passionately discussing it. Out of boredom, he'd downloaded and watched it.

He'd mostly forgotten the plot, but the names of the main characters—Harry Potter, Albus Dumbledore, and the villain Voldemort—were still etched in his memory.

As for Newt Scamander…

Who was that? He'd never heard of him.

But since the old man had mentioned Albus Dumbledore, it seemed he wasn't lying.

It was 1991. Kyle wasn't sure when the first Harry Potter book had been published, but it definitely hadn't happened yet.

Unless J.K. Rowling herself showed up, no one in this world should know the name Dumbledore.

Kyle lowered his guard, dispelling the hand seals and placing the gun on a nearby shelf. He politely invited the two men to sit in the living room.

Though surprised by Kyle's sudden change in attitude, Dumbledore didn't dwell on it. Instead, he began to explain:

"You must already know that you possess abilities beyond those of ordinary people. Hogwarts is a school dedicated to teaching young witches and wizards like you who have magical talent."

Wait, that raised a question.

Why would a British magic school come all the way to America to recruit him?

This was New York, USA!

Magic schools… didn't America have its own?

Surely there couldn't be only one magic school in the entire world, right?

Other countries must have them too.

If that were the case, shouldn't it be the Konoha Ninja Academy from Japan coming to recruit him?

Another question: Kyle had always thought the energy flowing through him was chakra. Had he been wrong all along?

But why could he use hand seals to perform the ninjutsu he remembered from Naruto?

Burying his confusion for now, Kyle asked, "So… when do we leave for Hogwarts?"

Newt pulled out an antique pocket watch and glanced at it. The hour hand pointed to 3 a.m. "I think you should leave now. The Aurors from the American Ministry of Magic are on their way."

"Now? Wait, what about all my stuff? And what's an Auror?"

"Aurors are, in Muggle terms, the police. Oh, and Muggles are people without magic," Dumbledore explained briefly. He then pulled out his wand and tapped the teapot on the table. "Portus."

The teapot trembled for a moment, emitting a strange blue light before settling back into its usual black color.

"Why are Aurors coming? To arrest me? I'm a law-abiding citizen!" Kyle exclaimed, baffled.

Dumbledore gave him a knowing look, his gaze drifting to the open safe nearby. "A law-abiding citizen? Where did all that money come from?"

"Uh… who put all this money in my safe? Someone's trying to frame me…" Kyle stammered, his excuse flimsy at best.

Dumbledore cut him off. "Enough. Place your hand on the teapot. We'll use the Portkey to travel to Britain."

"Well, safe travels," Newt said, staying put and waving them off. Clearly, he wasn't joining them on this journey.

"Until next time, Newt," Dumbledore replied. The next second, he activated the Portkey.

Kyle felt as if a hook had latched onto his navel, yanking him forward with irresistible force. His feet left the ground, and he flew through the air like a gust of wind, unable to see anything clearly.

Thankfully, the discomfort didn't last long.

The moment his feet touched the ground, the blurry scene before him sharpened into the towering silhouette of a castle.

The momentum from the Portkey nearly sent him sprawling face-first, but his five years of taijutsu training kicked in. He rolled smoothly and sprang to his feet, taking in his surroundings.

The castle was surrounded by rolling hills, with a vast lake shimmering in the morning sunlight. Occasionally, a massive tentacle-like shadow emerged from the water.

"Is this where I'll be going to school?" Kyle exclaimed in awe.

Dumbledore smiled warmly. "Welcome to Hogwarts."
