Sunday was cherished as a day of rest.

Hogwarts defined to the standard curriculum shared by all magical schools in Britain with a set of traditional classes: Herbology, Charms, Transfiguration, Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts (D.A.D.A.), History of Magic, Astronomy, and Care of Magical Creatures.

Hogwarts Board had also recently introduced an exciting addition: diversification classes inspired by subjects taught at other prominent magical academies.

Four subjects were selected this year: Elemental Magic, Animal Empathy, Spell Magical Theory and Defensive Magic & Barriers.

Interestingly, these lessons were taught in two formats.

During the week, Hogwarts professors conducted the classes.

On Saturdays, guest lecturers from Avalon, Fae Haven, Stonehenge, and Pendragon academies arrived to teach.

Unlike weekday classes, Saturday lessons brought students from all houses together.

Today marked the first Charms class of the term, pairing Ravenclaw and Slytherin. The air buzzed with anticipation as students settled into their seats.

Standing on a stack of books, Professor Flitwick addressed the class with his characteristic enthusiasm.

His cheerful demeanor and infectious energy quickly put even the most nervous first-years at ease.

After a brief introduction to the importance of focus and precise pronunciation in Charms, he introduced their first spell: Wingardium Leviosa.

"Remember, it's levi-O-sa, not levio-SAR," he said with a cheerful wink.

The atmosphere in the Charms classroom grew electric as students eagerly pulled out their wands to practice their first spell of the year, Wingardium Leviosa.

The mix of Ravenclaw and Slytherin students brought an extra layer of competitiveness to the lesson, but none more so than the brewing rivalry between Nero and Lilith.

Lilith approached the task with confidence. With a graceful flick of her wand and a perfectly enunciated incantation, her feather floated instantly, drawing a murmur of admiration from the class.

She threw a glance at Nero with a small smile.

"Did you see that?" whispered a Slytherin girl to her neighbor, nudging him with her elbow. "She didn't even hesitate! Are we sure she's a first year student like us?"

Nero, wasn't about to let the challenge go unanswered.

Mimicking Lilith's technique, he repeated the spell flawlessly.

But instead of simply levitating the feather, he added his own twist: the feather began spinning rapidly in midair, eliciting a collective gasp from the room.

A Ravenclaw boy leaned closer to his friend. "That's not in the books, right?" he asked, his voice laced with disbelief. "I mean, spinning it? How do you do that?"

Lilith arched an eyebrow, her emerald-green eyes gleaming with determination. "Impressive," she said coolly, "but let's see you handle this."

With a subtle wave of her wand, and without uttering a word, ten feathers from nearby desks floated gracefully into the air. They twirled and spun in perfect synchronization, as though they were performing an intricate dance.

"Whoa, ten feathers!" a wide-eyed Slytherin exclaimed. "That's unreal!"

"She didn't even say the spell out loud," added another student in awe.

Nero's lips curved into a slight smile. "Not bad," he replied, his tone light but brimming with resolve. He took a step forward, raising his hand without a wand or incantation. Another ten feathers rose into the air, spinning even faster and weaving around each other in a mesmerizing pattern.

"Did he just… Without a wand?" a Ravenclaw girl stammered, gripping the edge of her desk. "That's not possible for our age, right?"

Professor Flitwick, watching the display with wide eyes and barely-contained excitement, clapped his hands together. "Magnificent! Absolutely magnificent!" he exclaimed, his voice ringing with delight. "Such talent and creativity! Twenty points to both Ravenclaw and Slytherin for this extraordinary display of magic!"

The rest of the class erupted into applause, and even some of the Slytherin and Ravenclaw students exchanged reluctant nods of approval.

Flitwick turned to Lilith and Nero, his bright eyes twinkling with pride. "If you two wouldn't mind, I'd like you to assist me in helping the others master the spell. It's not every day I see such skill on the very first try!"

Lilith and Nero exchanged a glance, their rivalry reignited.

"Of course, Professor," Lilith said, her voice steady.

"With pleasure," Nero added, his tone warm.

As the two prodigious students began moving through the classroom, a boy whispered to his friend, "We're definitely not in a normal year, are we?"

"No way," his friend replied, shaking his head. "This year's going to be insane."
