Chapter 220: Tidewind City
It didn't take long before a group of three cultivators came for their spot. Qi Refinement cultivators were the weakest here anyway, so it was quite obvious that they shouldn't even hold the best spots.
On this whole boat, there were no other cultivators in the Qi Refinement realm, other than Jiang Hao and Yao Ying.
"You two, get aside."
Jiang Hao sighed. He really wasn't in the mood for conflict. Nowadays, he preferred little talk instead of total ignoring.
"Why?" He asked politely, but it had a different effect on these cultivators.
"Oh... a mere Qi Refinement cultivator is questioning me? This seems to be your first time using these boats… do you know, I can kill you and throw you out of the boat just because you are denying me?
Those spots are meant only for those who have the capability to hold them, and snatching them from the weak is the rule here. You should be grateful, because unlike me, others wouldn't have even explained this much—they would have killed you directly.
Now get aside. Don't test my patience. Although I won't kill you, I will definitely throw you into the sea."
Jiang Hao looked at the cultivator calmly. He was in the Soul Sea realm, with his companions in the Core Formation realm.
"Since you are so magnanimous, I will return the favour... go try somewhere else. Because if you still insist on this spot, then I will throw you into the sea without killing too."
The three cultivators were stunned. Forget about them—even the nearby cultivators were stunned. The cultivator who had spoken to Jiang Hao looked amused before laughing out loud.
"Hahahahaha… good, good. It looks like my kind words aren't appreciated. Seems like wearing that mask has given you the courage of a dragon, but you forgot… courage is only courage. It doesn't increase your strength."
The cultivator immediately came in front of Jiang Hao. He was sure that Jiang Hao wouldn't be able to react, but suddenly he felt his hand being grabbed, and before he could process what had happened, he felt a strong pull and the world blurred.
Jiang Hao put enough strength into his hand and threw the cultivator into the sea.
It happened so fast that others only saw the cultivator disappearing before they heard a loud splash in the sea.
They became confused for a second before looking at the sea. It seemed like something big had been thrown in. Suddenly, everyone understood the hidden implications. The fact that the cultivator had disappeared and something had entered the sea at the same time… they felt a chill run down their backs.
The fact that they weren't even able to see Jiang Hao move meant that he was far stronger than their imaginations. Unconsciously, they backed away even more from him.
The two cultivators were trembling inside. They immediately bowed.
"Senior, we didn't want to take your spot, it was our senior brother who dragged us here… we are more than happy staying in the middle."
"Yes senior, it was all our senior brother's fault," both of them spoke one by one.
Suddenly, the water in the sea parted and a cultivator flew out, his right hand limping as if it was broken.
This was the truth. The bones in the place where Jiang Hao had grabbed him might have turned into dust—he hadn't held back.
The cultivator came close to the ship and immediately bowed towards Jiang Hao in trepidation. He knew that he had made a mistake which might have killed him, had Jiang Hao not shown mercy.
"Senior, this junior was blind… thank you for showing mercy." He was trembling in fear.
Jiang Hao nodded, "Next time be aware, eyes can be deceiving."
The cultivator was glad that Jiang Hao didn't seem too angry. He really learned an unforgettable lesson today. From now on, he wouldn't judge someone by their cultivation realm. Unless he was sure, he wouldn't even talk to a person, much less insult them.
The cultivator came back onto the deck and looked at his two junior brothers. They both were avoiding his gaze. What were they guilty for?
"Don't mention this to anyone."
"Yes, senior brother."
…
After that, no one tried to come towards Jiang Hao and Yao Ying. If anyone tried, then before they could reach their location, others would warn them.
Those people were initially confused, but seeing that reaction from so many people, they always backed off.
When all the ticket holders boarded the boat, it finally started moving towards the Central Region.
Jiang Hao had to say that quite a lot of people were going towards the Central Region. He was confused about one point though. Since they wouldn't be given entry to the core region… why were they even going?
He would definitely be able to see the reason once he reached the end of their destination, but since he had someone who could give him the information, then why wait for that?
He looked towards the group of three cultivators, which made them flinch on the spot. They weren't sitting far from him.
"One of you come here."
They all looked at each other before the Soul Sea realm cultivator sighed and came forward himself. He had treated his arm using a vitality pill.
"Senior, do you need something?" he bowed and asked.
"Tell me, why are you going to the Central Region?"
The Soul Sea realm cultivator was a little confused but still spoke.
"To get some resources, senior. These resources are only available in the Central Region. Most of the resources we can buy directly, but some can be earned only by doing some missions."
Jiang Hao looked at him. "So you will be allowed to enter the Central Region?"
The Soul Sea cultivator finally had a knowing expression. "Senior, it really is your first time going there. No, we wouldn't be allowed to enter inside the Central Region, but the area around the Tidewind City is accessible.
Senior, Tidewind City is the port city where we are headed to. The reason so many cultivators are going there is because that city is more closer to the Eastern Region than to the core Central Region itself.
In fact, most of the population of this city is from the Eastern Region. Of course, we can't stay more than a month there, and only cultivators below the Heavenly King Realm are allowed to enter the city
You see, most of the main sects of the Central Region have made a branch sect inside that city. It is said that these branches were made to protect their teleportation arrays, which give them access to eastern region from there on."
