HERCULES METHOD IN MHA

Chapter 6: Chapter 6: Breaking the Limiter

The park was quiet, the early morning sun casting long shadows across the grass. Izuku sat cross-legged beneath a large tree, his eyes closed as he focused on his breathing. Meditation had become a crucial part of his training routine, helping him center his mind and connect with his quirk on a deeper level. He could feel the power thrumming beneath his skin, a constant reminder of how far he had come.

But today, his peace was about to be shattered.

The first sign of trouble was a low, guttural laugh. Izuku's eyes snapped open, and he turned to see a man standing at the edge of the park. He was tall and wiry, with a wild look in his eyes and a grin that sent a chill down Izuku's spine. The man's skin had a strange, almost metallic sheen to it, and his hands were clenched into fists.

"Well, well," the man said, his voice dripping with malice. "What do we have here? A little hero wannabe?"

Izuku stood up slowly, his muscles tensing as he prepared for a fight. "Who are you?"

The man chuckled. "Name's Grudge. And you're about to find out why they call me that."

Before Izuku could respond, Grudge lunged at him, moving faster than expected. Izuku barely had time to dodge, the man's fist grazing his shoulder. The impact was surprisingly light, but Izuku could tell there was something off about his opponent.

Grudge's quirk became apparent almost immediately. No matter how hard Izuku hit him, the man barely flinched. His body seemed to absorb the impact, leaving him unharmed. Izuku's punches, which could normally shatter concrete, had no effect.

"What's the matter, kid?" Grudge taunted, his grin widening. "Not so tough now, are you?"

Izuku gritted his teeth, his mind racing. He had faced tough opponents before, but this was different. Grudge's quirk made him nearly invulnerable to physical damage, and Izuku didn't know how to counter it.

As the fight dragged on, Izuku began to feel the strain. His muscles ached from the constant exertion, and his breathing grew labored. But he refused to give up. He couldn't. Not when innocent people might be in danger.

He tried everything he could think of—grappling, joint locks, even using the environment to his advantage. But nothing worked. Grudge just kept coming, his laughter echoing in Izuku's ears.

Finally, in a moment of desperation, Izuku decided to do something he had never done before. He had always held back, afraid of what might happen if he pushed his quirk too far. But now, he had no choice.

Izuku closed his eyes for a brief moment, focusing inward. He could feel the limiter his body had placed on his quirk, a subconscious barrier that prevented him from compressing his muscles beyond a certain point. It was a safety mechanism, designed to protect him from injuring himself. But now, he needed to go beyond it.

With a deep breath, Izuku pushed past the limiter. His muscles contracted with a force he had never felt before, the density increasing exponentially. The sensation was overwhelming like his entire body was on fire. But he didn't stop. He couldn't.

When he opened his eyes, Grudge was staring at him in shock. Izuku's body had changed, his muscles now bulging with an almost unnatural density. He could feel the power coursing through him, a raw, untamed force that threatened to consume him.

Grudge recovered quickly, his grin returning. "What's this? A last-ditch effort? It won't work, kid. You can't hurt me."

Izuku didn't respond. He simply charged forward, his movements faster and more precise than ever before. This time, when his fist connected with Grudge's chest, the impact was different. There was a loud crack, like the sound of shattering metal, and Grudge was sent flying backward, crashing into a tree.

The man groaned, struggling to get up. But this time, he didn't laugh. He just stared at Izuku in disbelief. "How… how did you do that?"

Izuku didn't answer. He could feel his body starting to give out, the strain of pushing past his limiter taking its toll. But he had done it. He had won.

As Grudge lay unconscious, Izuku collapsed to his knees, his body trembling with exhaustion. He could feel the limiter reasserting itself, his muscles returning to their normal density. But the experience had changed him. He had seen what he was capable of, and he knew he could never go back to holding back.

A few minutes later, the sound of sirens filled the air. The police had arrived, alerted by a passerby who had seen the fight. They quickly secured Grudge, cuffing him and loading him into a police van. One of the officers approached Izuku, who was still sitting on the ground, trying to catch his breath.

"Are you okay, kid?" the officer asked, kneeling beside him.

Izuku nodded weakly. "I'm fine. Just… tired."

The officer gave him a concerned look but didn't press further. "You did a good job holding him off. We'll take it from here. Can we call someone for you? Your parents, maybe?"

Izuku hesitated, then nodded again. "My mom. Her name is Inko Midoriya."

Inko arrived at the park a short while later, her face pale with worry. She rushed over to Izuku, who was now sitting on a bench with a blanket draped over his shoulders.

"Izuku!" she cried, pulling him into a tight hug. "Are you okay? What happened?"

Izuku hugged her back, his voice muffled against her shoulder. "I'm fine, Mom. I just… I had to stop him."

Inko pulled back, her hands on his shoulders as she looked him over. "You're not hurt, are you? What were you thinking, taking on a villain by yourself?"

Izuku looked down, guilt creeping into his expression. "I didn't have a choice, Mom. He was going to hurt people. I had to do something."

Inko sighed, her expression softening. "I know, sweetie. I just… I worry about you. You're so strong, but you're still my little boy."

Izuku nodded, his exhaustion catching up to him. "I'll be more careful, Mom. I promise."

As they walked home, Izuku couldn't stop thinking about what had happened. He had pushed his quirk to its absolute limits, and it had been both exhilarating and terrifying. He knew he couldn't rely on that level of power all the time—it was too dangerous, both for him and for others. But he also knew that he had to keep training, to find a way to harness his strength without losing control.

For now, though, he was just glad to be going home. He had faced a villain and come out on top, and that was enough for one day.
