Chapter 126: Vampires (3)
All of the vampires that heard this had bitter smiles on their faces, but none of them went to carry out this order.
Seeing that they weren't moving, Malphis narrowed his eyes to look at them before saying, "What are you doing? I've already given the order."
One of the vampires came forward…or rather was pushed forward by the others.
After glaring at the rest of the vampires, he said, "Lord Malphis, this blood factory is one of the biggest ones that our vampire race possesses. If it was burnt down, at least 30% of the blood supply would be cut off. When that time comes, it will hurt the vassal vampires and I'm sure that someone as magnanimous as you wouldn't want to see that."
Malphis didn't seem to care at first, but eventually he couldn't help slightly knitting his brows.
It wasn't that he was actually worried about the lesser vampires who weren't purebloods. Rather, it was that he was worried about the scolding that he would receive from the pureblood elders if he were to go through with this plan.
After all, the order that he had been given by them was to reclaim this blood factory.
If he were to burn it down in his fit of rage, then there was no doubt that it would be going against the order that he received.
Even if he was one of the rising stars among the purebloods, he wouldn't be able to get out of a punishment if he were to do something like this.
That expression soon disappeared from his face as he slowly revealed a smile.
That was because he thought to himself, "While it would be a problem if I burned this place down, if I were to reclaim it perfectly, then it would make me stand out in front of the elders."
So Malphis calmed himself down and said, "Alright, have you found the points where we can breach the factory yet? It can't be that you haven't even done something as simple as this yet, right?"
The vampires that were around him revealed awkward looks when they heard this.
That was because this was indeed the case.
They thought that it would have been easy for them to find these breach points, but they had been disappointed when they found that all of the normal breach points had already been blocked.
It wasn't as if these breach points were places that anyone knew about, there were some of them that were special breach points that only certain people that worked in the factory knew about.
It seemed that they had gotten that information from the workers that had been taken down.
Seeing the looks on their faces, Malphis clicked his tongue before saying, "Useless."
All of the vampires lowered their heads when hearing this, none of them daring to actually say anything in response. Though it was clear by the looks in their eyes that they didn't agree with what he said.
But there was nothing that they could do since they were normal vampires and he was a pureblood.
After thinking about it, Malphis just said, "Get ready to send a force of vampires in."
"Lord Malphis, what are you planning to do?" The vampires asked with worried voices.
A smile appeared on his face as he said, "Well, if there isn't a breach point, then why not make a few?"
All of them felt a chill run down their spine when they heard this.
This was no different from burning the factory down since it would take a large amount of money to repair the damages if they were to go through with this plan. Only none of them could really say anything since they could see the look on Malphis' face.
It seemed that he had already come to a decision.
At least it would mean that they would be able to recover the blood slaves, that was a small consolation to all of this. That was the only thing that they could think to comfort themselves.
Malphis just raised his hand and gathered a few small balls of blood before saying, "Go and tell them to get ready."
When they received this command, the vampires had no choice but to follow his order and pass down his command to the others.
Malphis waited for a bit before suddenly having an idea, "If I lead the charge, then wouldn't I be able to earn even more prestige?"
He just didn't even think about the dangers that came with this. At the same time, he didn't think about the trouble that he would be causing his subordinates by doing something like this.
In the first place, as a pureblooded vampire, he had been taught to be arrogant and full of confidence. But putting it in a different way, it could be said that he was sheltered and didn't really know much about the outside world.
Even this blood factory was considered part of the outside world for these purebloods.
They received these missions to build up their mentality for the future, so they wouldn't be completely clueless. But this Malphis was just one of the younger purebloods that had been sent out.
So he still didn't have much mental training yet and still had a childish kind of mentality.
But it wasn't as if the pureblood elders saw this blood factory incident as something that was big. They just saw it as a chance for one of the younger purebloods to learn more about the outside world.
That was why they fell into a trap in the end.
"Take this!" Malphis said as he threw the blood orbs out.
Right after throwing out the blood orbs, he dived down at the blood factory in front of him.
"Lord Malphis?" The vampire that was leading the group was shocked to see Malphis flying in, but then he said, "Follow Lord Malphis in!"
It wasn't loyalty, but fear.
If anything happened to Malphis, they would all lose their lives.
"Ha, ha, ha, watch my great…" Malphis didn't get to finish these words as there was a scythe that suddenly swung down at him.
