Chapter 211: Hephaestus: I'm Done
Chapter 211 - Hephaestus: I'm Done
"Don't worry, Hestia."
With a reassuring smile, Mahiro said, "With such a lovely goddess caring for me, how could I put myself in danger?"
In dungeon, there weren't many things that could truly endanger Mahiro's life—at least not before reaching the lower floors.
"Hmpf!"
Hestia snorted softly, though a trace of worry lingered.
"In the past, I only needed to hide in my room and read a book"
"But now, knowing you're running around in the dungeon, I can't help but feel a bit anxious."
"That's understandable."
Hephaestus nodded in agreement. "I remember when I first established my Familia, I was always worried about my first child."
"Whenever she entered the dungeon, I would feel uneasy."
She paused, lost in thought.
"Looking back, so many years have passed, yet I still remember how special she was to me."
"Alright, let's not dwell on this too much," Hestia added softly.
"I trust Mahiro will take care of himself. Speaking of which, how was your first day in the dungeon?"
"How did it go? Did you face any challenges or tough monsters?"
"Well," Mahiro replied calmly.
"Today was more about familiarizing myself with the environment, so it wasn't anything challenging."
"That's fine."
Hestia returned with a comforting smile.
"Do you feel the challenges of being an adventurer now?" Hephaestus asked.
"While adventuring is undoubtedly a profitable career, it can be tough for rookies."
She gazed Mahiro with appreciation. "Still, your talent is exceptional."
"You already have skills comparable to high class adventurers, and your talent is extraordinary."
"But... geniuses need time to grow."
"Yes, it's not easy," Mahiro admitted with a small frown. "The dungeon's terrain is so complex."
"If someone were guiding me, I might've made it to the lower floors today."
"Huh?" Hephaestus chuckled. "The lower floors?"
"You're really something else, but as a rookie, it's wiser to explore the upper floors first."
"Once you're familiar with them, you can consider moving to the middle floors."
The lower floors, below the 25th floor, were places most adventurers never reached in their lifetimes.
Even high class adventurers trained for years before venturing there.
Mahiro's casual remark seemed implausible.
"I understand," Mahiro sighed. "But the monsters on the upper floors are weak."
"I'd much rather explore the lower floors where I can find a real challenge."
Hephaestus raised her eyebrows and turn to Hestia.
'No matter how talented he is, rushing into the lower floors without proper preparation is reckless and dangerous.'
"You should advise him to take it slow."
"Well.."
"How far did you go today?" Hestia murmured softly.
She believed in his potential and knew he wouldn't do anything out of ordinary.
Alas...
"The seventeenth floor," Mahiro replied nonchalantly. "But I didn't fight the monsters there."
"I was just familiarizing myself with the routes before heading back."
"The seventeenth floor?" Hestia dropped in shock.
"What did you say?" Hephaestus stared at him deeply.
"You reached the seventeenth floor?"
"Yes," Mahiro confirmed. "It shouldn't be that surprising."
Hephaestus gave a helpless laugh. "If word gets out, everyone in Orario will be shocked."
"In fact, they might not even believe it."
She had seen glimpses of his strength— attacks comparable to Level 3 or even Level 4 adventurers.
Though incredible, it wasn't outside the knowledge of possibility.
"I suspected you'd break records as a rookie, but the seventeenth floor on your first day still exceeds my expectations," Hestia admitted.
"I thought reaching the tenth floor would've been remarkable enough."
Mahiro's exceptional abilities placed him far beyond ordinary adventures.
"So, how much did you earn today?" Hephaestus asked curiously.
"Over 200,000 valis," Mahiro replied.
"Over 200,000!" Hestia trembled in excitement.
Hephaestus, on the other hand, rolled her eyes. "Here, she go again!"
Sweat trickled as Hestia tried to organize her words.
"M-Mahiro, let's update your status right away."
