Chapter 569: Chapter 569: This Young Wizard is Really Arrogant
Tonks stared at Andy with wide eyes.
She didn't know how to respond to that.
The young wizard was so arrogant!
In fact, everything was more or less as Andy had expected.
While Tonks is an Auror in the Ministry of Magic, she is also a member of the Order of the Phoenix. Her main reason for being here was to cover for Andy and Harry.
At this point in time, the appearance of two young wizards who should be at Hogwarts at this time in the Ministry of Magic is enough to arouse the suspicion of anyone.
Tonks is waiting here to solve some hassles for Andy and Harry—to prevent the two of them from being questioned by some uninformed Ministry officials.
Ding-dong –
Just as Tonks was momentarily lost in thought, there was a light sound from the lift, and then the lift door slowly opened.
Seeing that there was someone else in the lift, Andy moved slightly to the side to indicate that the person inside should come out first.
There were two people in the lift.
Coincidentally, Andy knew both of them.
One of them was Lucius Malfoy.
At the moment, he was no longer as pretentious as he used to be. He stood pale on the side of the lift, with a forced smile on his face, looking slightly nervous.
All of this was because of the other person.
That person was wearing a brown overcoat. Beneath his greyish-white, thick hair was a scarred face, and his nose was missing a piece. His whole face looked like old, rotten wood.
He was missing a leg, which had been replaced by a wooden prosthetic.
In particular, the iconic prosthetic eye made him instantly recognisable.
Mad-Eye Moody!
A very famous Auror. It is rumoured that he has caught more than half of the Dark Wizards in Azkaban and can be considered the nemesis of evil.
It is hardly surprising that Lucius Malfoy, upon seeing him, cowers like a mouse in the presence of a cat and appears to be on his guard.
It is estimated that he suffered some form of punishment in the past.
Da da da –
Mad-Eye Moody limped out of the lift, his bright blue magic eye spinning around, finally stopping on Andy and Harry.
He turned his head and asked in a questioning tone, "Young wizards... what are you two doing at the Ministry of Magic instead of being at Hogwarts?"
When Tonks saw this, she immediately looked at Andy with playful eyes.
You were so arrogant just now; let's see what you're going to do now!
"I'm not obliged to tell you,"
Andy said with a light laugh, "You're retired; please remember that."
After saying that, Andy saw that Mad-Eye Moody was standing there motionless, so he continued, "If there's nothing else, please move aside; we still need to use the lift."
Upon hearing this, Tonks' mouth opened slightly, and she looked at Andy with the look of seeing an 'idol' – boy, you're awesome!
This young wizard is really arrogant!
In fact, Andy had no other choice.
This time, when he came to the Ministry of Magic, Andy didn't even go to the reception desk to register.
How could he explain?
What could Andy say?
So Andy could only assume an arrogant posture and muddle through with this attitude.
After all, everyone involved knew what was going on, so why bother?
Mad-Eye Moody's face twitched slightly. He glared at Andy fiercely, muttered something under his breath, and then stepped aside slightly.
Andy nodded with a smile, then walked past Mad-Eye Moody and got into the lift with Harry.
Lucius Malfoy looked at the two of them, his mouth curling up slightly, and he said in a slow and deliberate tone, "I'm so glad to see you here."
This remark carried a double meaning.
"Malfoy!" Harry growled.
His expression showed some agitation, and he was also a little puzzled.
Lucius Malfoy IS a Death Eater!
That night, Harry had seen Lucius appear at Voldemort's resurrection site, and like a servant, he had humbly kneeled at Voldemort's feet.
But now Lucius had appeared in the Ministry of Magic with such arrogance.
Why?
Harry couldn't understand.
Andy squeezed Harry's hand to calm him down.
The Malfoy family is one of the Sacred Twenty-Eight Families, and most importantly, they are rich. A wizard in Lucius's position cannot be brought down by the testimony of a mere young wizard.
He is here to act as Voldemort's eyes and ears.
In other words, he is a discarded pawn!
Once the battle breaks out and Lucius's identity is revealed, as long as the Ministry of Magic still exists, Lucius will no longer be able to appear in public as he does now.
It honestly makes no difference to the other Death Eaters.
But for Lucius.
This is actually a form of punishment from Voldemort.
"So are we."
Andy said with a playful tone, "I hope I can see you later too."
Upon hearing this, Lucius gave Andy a deep look and said in a reserved tone, "It's best if you don't."
He had heard the name Andy Collins.
He had heard it from his son, Draco Malfoy.
His son admired Andy very much and even associated his name with Gellert Grindelwald—the infamous wizard whose name had become taboo in European wizarding circles.
At first, Lucius didn't take it seriously, thinking they were just playing some silly children's game.
But now that he had met Andy in person, Lucius suddenly realised that this young wizard was really quite different.
"Who can say for sure about such things?"
Andy said with a hint of hidden meaning, "Fate is a hard thing to fathom, but I feel that... we are very much fated to meet each other today."
Lucius said no more, and with his cane in hand, he walked out of the lift.
Just as the lift door was about to close, Tonks quickly slipped in.
"Why are you here?" Andy was a little speechless.
What's this woman up to?
"What are you going to do?" Tonks demanded.
She was not pretending anymore; she was laying her cards on the table!
I'm just here to cooperate with you and cover for you.
"Go in, get the prophecy orb, and come out again." Andy didn't beat around the bush, either; he just simply told her his plan.
Tonks: "..."
Is that what you're going to do?
For something so big, don't you two have a plan?
But on second thought...
Well, the people from the Department of Mysteries have already been called away, and there is no one there now.
Go in, get the prophecy orb, and leave.
It's a brilliant plan!
It has a 100% success rate!
Tonks felt a little speechless and then continued, "What's next? What are you going to do after you get out?"
After a pause, Tonks added, "After you get the prophecy orb, that's when the real danger will begin."
She wanted to know if Andy and Harry had any plans or means to protect their lives.
Knowing this would enable her to protect the two of them better.
"It is indeed a bit dangerous..."
Andy nodded in agreement, then continued, "I'm afraid the Death Eaters will suffer heavy casualties tonight! You should also be prepared to rebuild the Ministry of Magic...that could cost a fortune."
"Just to be clear, I won't pay for it!"
