Hogwarts: The Unscientific Wizard (TL)

Chapter 617: Chapter 617: Can the Resurrection Stone summon Dumbledore’s soul?

"..."

Mr Borgin was silent for a moment, then sighed resignedly. Without saying anything, he picked up a backpack and began to put the contents on the shelf into it.

Andy: "..."

Is he trying to run away?

"Mr Borgin, there's no need for that."

Andy said helplessly, "Since you don't need any more staff here, I'll just find a job at another shop."

Mr Borgin paused in his movements.

You still want to cause trouble for others?

"No one except the Ministry of Magic would dare to hire you."

Mr Borgin said with a defeated look as he placed his backpack on the counter. "Just look at Diagon Alley over there! How many shops dare to operate normally since Ollivander was kidnapped?"

Andy raised an eyebrow. "But you seem not to be affected here, though?"

That's what Andy was most curious about.

The Ministry of Magic never bothered him.

Voldemort has no interest in him either.

If he said he didn't have some sort of hidden ability, Andy just wouldn't believe it.

But the attitude he displayed today really did seem to suggest that he was afraid of Voldemort.

"Anyone who wants to do business in a place like Knockturn Alley needs to have some sort of hidden card, don't they?" Mr Borgin asked in return.

That was true.

Andy was curious about this guy's secret, but he obviously wasn't going to tell, and Andy wasn't going to use force to find out.

"Okay, looks like I came for nothing today."

Andy shrugged, "Mr. Borgin, I'll see you again. I'll come back to see you after the death of Dark Lord."

Mr Borgin: "…"

Waving his hand, Andy turned and walked out of Borgin and Burkes.

The job interview failed...

But Mr Borgin was right. Under the current circumstances, no one would dare hire Andy except the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts.

This is the deterrent effect of Voldemort.

Because he has no qualms about killing!

It's like the same weapon in the hands of different people. Ordinary people are only afraid of terrorists, but not the army.

They know who will hurt them.

After walking a short distance, Andy used Apparition and instantly disappeared from the spot.

After a short while, another figure appeared using Apparition.

The figure was wearing a long black robe, tall and thin, with what looked like scales growing all over his body. He was pale and bloodless, with narrow, scarlet eyes that flashed with a feral gleam as if he were waiting to prey on someone.

"What a nostalgic place..."

Voldemort playfully glanced at the signboard of Borgin and Burkes, then pushed the door open and walked in.

Mr Borgin: '...'

***

When Andy got home, it was already past 1:00 p.m.

"Andy, where have you been?" Isabel sat on the sofa, arms folded in front of her chest, taking on an interrogatory posture.

"Didn't I say? I had to test a spell."

Andy casually replied, then walked upstairs.

"Does it take that long to test a spell?"

The curious girl followed him, then asked in a low voice, "Andy, did you secretly go to see Hermione?"

"No… I went to see Professor Dumbledore," Andy said.

"Dumbledore? What did you need to see him for?" Isabel asked curiously.

"What else? Of course, I went to ask for advice on magic."

In the meantime, Andy had already walked to the bedroom door. "I'm going to change. Do you want to come in?"

"Hmph!" Isabel suspiciously glanced at Andy and then turned around and walked downstairs with a light huff.

Entering the bedroom, Andy changed into some comfortable clothes and half-leaned against the bed, skillfully opening the system panel.

After the fusion of mind and magic, Andy's strength has improved greatly—to be precise, his magical attack power has increased significantly.

Although Andy has not tested it in actual combat, he feels that he has reached the ceiling of the magical world in terms of magical attack power alone.

As for the next research direction, it has also been determined.

Love!

This is a very idealistic concept.

But magic is inherently idealistic, so it doesn't matter if it's a bit more idealistic.

But...

"Where do I start?"

Although the research direction had been determined, Andy still felt that he had no idea where to begin.

Love... this concept is so ambiguous.

Does Andy have love?

Of course, he does!

'But... do I still have the heart to give pure love?'

The more things you experience, the more mature you become.

And the sign of maturity is recognising reality.

When you recognise reality, you will become selfish.

So most people lose their innocence and start chasing after fame and fortune. Emotions, dreams, and beliefs—the best things in life will all gradually lose their value.

Chasing after dreams?

People will call you naive!

Believing in love?

Don't be silly!

Andy is no exception.

In two lifetimes, Andy has experienced a lot and met many people. But the more he sees, the more Andy feels that he has lost the heart to love.

Parents, sister, girlfriend, family...

Andy sometimes asks himself: Do I really love them sincerely?

Or do I just need family, so I treat them as my family?

Do I care for and protect my family because I'm possessive? Or because I love them?

Andy can't be sure!

Perhaps the answer will only become clear when they are gone.

Because only when you lose something will you realise how much you cherish it.

Andy is just a common mortal.

"Hoo..."

Andy let out a breath, suddenly feeling a little irritated.

If he were to interpret the meaning of 'love' rationally, Andy could list a whole bunch of views and opinions on love.

But knowing is different from understanding.

Especially when it comes to pure love, Andy couldn't even understand his own feelings.

'Where should I start?'

As Andy pondered, he suddenly thought of Dumbledore.

And Harry!

There was no doubt that Harry had love.

He may have many faults, but his emotions are certainly pure.

To be honest, Andy feels a little envious.

As for Dumbledore...

Andy once again thought of the words: For someone with a clear mind, death is just another great adventure.

"If only I could have seen the ending..."

Andy had only seen the first Harry Potter film, and then he found out about Dumbledore's death online.

But what happened after his death, Andy had no idea.

Could the Resurrection Stone summon Dumbledore's 'soul'?

Thinking about Dumbledore's words... Andy felt that even if Dumbledore had died, his soul would be free.

Because that's the whole point of the previous sentence!

Only someone who has a 'clear mind' can continue on an adventure after death.

It's just like the character Ancient One in Marvel Comics.

After living long enough and finding a successor, the Ancient One went off to join the Eternity and travel the multiverse.

Andy wondered if Dumbledore had done the same in the original story.

Pursue his youthful dream—to find the Deathly Hallows!

As for now...

Andy wonders if it was because of him that Dumbledore didn't feel at ease, so he gave up on death?

"Hmm..."

Andy feels that he may have found a direction for his research on 'love'.

Let's start by unveiling the mystery surrounding Dumbledore!
