How Kurama Leads Naruto Astray

"My child has grown this much?" Kushina stood at the edge of the street, gazing at Naruto in the distance with a look of pride and happiness.

She didn't expect Naruto to be so strong. The chakra he released just now even made her feel a bit uneasy. If that attack had hit her, she thought she would have been finished in an instant.

"This chakra feels a bit like the Sage Mode from Mount Myoboku." Standing next to Kushina, Jiraiya, with his youthful face, stroked his chin as he looked at Naruto, his expression filled with surprise.

"Mhm." Kushina nodded with a smile. "Naruto told me that he became your student in the future, so his Sage Mode must have come from you."

"Oh?" Jiraiya's eyes lit up as he puffed his chest. "Tsunade, I told you my future student would be stronger than yours, right? You didn't believe me, but now you see it."

Tsunade shot him a glare but didn't hit him. After all, they were on the battlefield.

When she didn't say anything, Jiraiya became even more smug, looking like he was asking for trouble.

Kushina laughed and shook her head, then looked at Naruto's retreating figure, her smile growing sweeter.

"Naruto, to the right!" Kurama called out softly, narrowing his eyes.

Almost instantly, the Tailed Beast Ball appeared as a black shield on Naruto's right, and a fishing rod slammed into it. The powerful force rippled through the air, spreading like a sonic boom.

Naruto narrowed his eyes. "Is that all you can do? Only sneak attacks?"

"Tch." Urashiki grunted in dissatisfaction and pulled back the fishing rod. "Annoying ability."

The Tailed Beast Ball really was outrageous. It blocked Pushi's fishing rod and even made him feel the backlash. Normally, the fishing rod would have been unstoppable, but now it was completely useless.

"Is running away the only thing you can do?" Urashiki mocked without hesitation.

As the fishing rod swung through the air in a strange arc, the fishing line wrapped around the Tailed Beast Ball and attacked Naruto.

Naruto stepped back, controlling the Tailed Beast Ball to block the attack, and turned to look at the distance between them and Roran. "This should be far enough, right?"

In Six Paths Mode, Naruto was already fast. After flying for just half a minute, he was far enough from Roran. 

Unless he used a large Tailed Beast Ball, it wouldn't affect the city.

Urashiki heard Naruto and pulled back the fishing rod, mocking, "So you're not running anymore?"

Naruto turned to Urashiki, the Tailed Beast Ball flying back behind him. He yelled at Urashiki, "I've made my decision—I'm taking you down right here!"

"Anyone can talk big," Urashiki retorted as he immediately attacked again, swinging the fishing rod toward Naruto.

Naruto extended both hands. Two Tailed Beast Balls appeared in his hands, transforming into two black rods over a meter long. He used them to block the fishing rod while charging straight at Pushi.

Urashiki wasn't interested in close combat with Naruto. His ability in close quarters was much weaker than Momoshiki's. As his blue Rinnegan activated, his body split into several blood-red paper cranes that flew away, only to reappear in another location.

The battle between the two looked simple, like a taijutsu fight between two low-ranking ninjas. But every time their attacks clashed, the air trembled with deafening shockwaves. 

The sheer force of their blows kicked up dust and sand from the ground, and this was just from their basic exchanges. 

The more Naruto fought, the more he felt something was off. 

"This guy... why does he keep getting stronger?" 

Naruto dodged with a serious expression, swinging his Truth-Seeking Orbs, but he couldn't get close at all. He was being led around like a little dog on a leash, completely unable to land a hit. 

It wasn't like this at the start. At first, Naruto could at least force his opponent to use a substitution jutsu to escape, even if he couldn't land a clean strike. But now, he couldn't even find an opening to attack. 

Kurama also sensed something was wrong. He frowned at Urashiki and said, 

"This guy's rewind ability… he's continuously rewinding his battle with you and learning your fighting style." 

The learning ability of the Otsutsuki clan was terrifying. Kurama could hardly believe it. 

He was fighting Naruto while also analyzing his techniques. At first, he was just keeping up, but now, he was already suppressing Naruto. 

What kind of insane ability was this? 

"This won't work, Naruto. At this rate, forget making him slip up—you're the one who's about to make a mistake." 

Kurama made a quick decision and said firmly, 

"Forget about fancy tactics. Go all out!" 

If Naruto didn't give it his all, he was going to lose. 

Naruto flipped mid-air to dodge the fishing rod. The line zipped past him, barely missing his body. 

Steadying himself, he let go of his Truth-Seeking Orbs and pressed his hands together. 

"Then I'll trust my dad!" 

"Kurama! Full power!" 

A golden chakra erupted into the sky, casting a holy glow over the morning light. 

Urashiki stopped his attack and backed away, watching with a mocking look. 

"This again..." 

As he spoke, he raised his left hand, and a surge of powerful purple chakra burst forth, lighting up the sky alongside Naruto's golden glow. 

Naruto frowned. 

"This guy still has energy left? Wasn't he sealed by my future self? Even after being sealed, he's still this strong? Then his original power must have been..." 

He didn't even want to imagine. 

Even Kurama was shocked. The adult Sasuke had said Urashiki's strength was less than one-tenth of its full power. 

But even with just 'less than one-tenth,' he was already overwhelming Sage of Six Paths Naruto? 

Sure, Naruto wasn't at his peak yet, but he was still Six Paths Naruto! 

"I think I underestimated this guy," Kurama muttered, his face turning serious for the first time. 

Of course, they had no idea that most of Urashiki's power had already been unsealed. They still believed what Sasuke had told them—that his strength was only a fraction of what it should be. 

Naruto's golden chakra kept surging, forming an immense force around him. The golden light took shape, rising into the sky as a towering, hundred-meter-tall Nine-Tails. 

It was Kurama! 

Naruto stood inside the head of the massive golden Kurama, hands pressed together. The nine Truth-Seeking Orbs flew out, merging into two enormous black rods, which Kurama grabbed in both hands. 

"ROOOAR—" 

The massive Kurama let out a deafening roar at Urashiki. 

"A monster fox..." Urashiki sneered. 

"That's not my goal, but I'll be taking your chakra." 

As soon as he finished speaking, the purple chakra in the air gathered into the shape of a massive, two-headed serpent… or perhaps a dragon. Its form was a little strange. 

But one thing was certain—it was just as massive as Kurama, if not bigger. 

"Heavenly Beads Purple Dragon—Dragon Palace!" 

Standing atop the dragon's head, Urashiki smirked coldly at Naruto. 

(Note: "Heavenly Beads Purple Dragon—Dragon Palace" and "Heavenly Beads Purple Sphere—Jade Box" are techniques used in Urashiki's second-stage crane mode. They are inspired by the Japanese folktale 'Urashima Tarō,' in which ribbonfish (not dragons) carried Urashima Tarō to the Dragon Palace.)
