Chapter 202: Chapter 202: Things Are Getting Messy, Guys
"Impossible! How is he using that?" Kurama's eyes widened as he stared at Urashiki. "Doesn't he need to be in his second-stage Sage Crane Mode to use this technique?"
Kurama was starting to doubt everything. This Urashiki was nothing like the one he remembered.
First, his strength—this Urashiki was only at one-tenth of his full power, yet he was still this strong. If he were at full strength, wouldn't he be even crazier than Kaguya?
And now, this technique… Something was seriously off. No matter how he looked at it, Urashiki just felt wrong.
"Enough talking! We have to fight!" Naruto ignored Kurama's shouting and controlled the massive Nine-Tails to throw a punch at Urashiki.
But the two giant dragons beneath Urashiki weren't just for show. The moment Naruto charged in, they opened their huge mouths and bit down on the golden Kurama.
Naruto didn't back down. He controlled Kurama to fight back with a counterpunch.
The clash of these massive creatures was even more terrifying than before. The force of their battle stirred up violent winds, shaking the entire ground.
Standing below them, Sasuke watched with his Mangekyou Sharingan spinning rapidly.
In the next instant, his eyes widened as a powerful force erupted from them.
"Amaterasu!"
Urashiki smirked as he watched the two beasts fight. Just as he was about to make his move, black flames suddenly ignited on his body.
The intense chakra surge made him freeze for a moment.
But in the very next second, the black flames hit nothing but air.
Urashiki reappeared a short distance away and glanced down at Sasuke.
"Oh, right… I almost forgot you were here."
Sasuke frowned. "So sneak attacks really don't work on him, huh?"
Looking into Urashiki's blue Rinnegan, Sasuke felt a twinge of frustration.
"I have to force him to deactivate that damn blue Rinnegan."
His visual power surged. Purple chakra gathered around him, forming a giant skeletal frame. It quickly expanded, adding muscle, skin, and armor.
In just a blink, a second-stage, half-body purple Susano'o took shape.
Susano'o raised its left arm and aimed at Urashiki.
A short bow formed on its arm, and black flames condensed into an arrow, locked onto Urashiki.
"Blaze Release: Kagutsuchi!"
"Susano'o: Amaterasu Arrow!"
The black arrow shot forward, tearing through the air as it charged toward Urashiki.
Urashiki saw the massive attack and only let out a cold chuckle.
His body dissolved into thousands of paper cranes and vanished.
The enormous black arrow didn't go to waste, though. After missing Urashiki, it struck one of the gigantic twin-headed dragons.
As the dragon let out an ear-splitting roar, flames spread across its body, burning wildly.
"Nice one, Sasuke!" Naruto shouted. He stretched out his hands, and inside Kurama's mouth, a Tailed Beast Bomb began forming.
Then, with a roar, he launched it straight at the dragon.
Down below, Sasuke paid no attention to Naruto's praise. His expression suddenly changed, and without even thinking, he dodged to the side—
A fishhook pierced through Susano'o's defense, landing exactly where he had just stood.
If he had reacted even a second slower, it would have hit him.
As Susano'o slowly faded, lightning crackled in Sasuke's left hand, forming a black lightning sword.
He swung it behind him—only for it to be blocked halfway by Urashiki.
Urashiki smirked. His voice was full of mockery.
"Compared to that guy up there, you're ridiculously weak at this point in time."
One against two, and he still had the upper hand.
Urashiki had every right to say that.
Sasuke's expression didn't change. His Mangekyou Sharingan locked onto Urashiki.
"I realized that a long time ago," he said calmly. "But you—being pushed to this point by two fifteen-year-olds—doesn't that make you feel ashamed as an Otsutsuki?"
Urashiki's smirk froze.
What happened to the rule about not hitting where it hurts?
Sasuke just went straight for the kill with one sentence.
The worst part? He wasn't wrong.
As much as Urashiki hated to admit it, his current strength really wasn't enough to kill Naruto and Sasuke as they were now.
If he had his full power, sure, maybe.
What? Full-power Naruto and Sasuke? Yeah, no thanks. Urashiki wasn't that suicidal.
But for someone as proud as an Otsutsuki, Sasuke's words hit where it hurt the most.
Since arriving on this cursed planet, the Otsutsuki had already lost three members—Kaguya, Momoshiki, and Kinshiki.
"Alright… Now you've really pissed me off."
Urashiki gripped his fishing rod tightly, his teeth clenched in fury.
"You've said that more than once. Is this the only move you know?" Sasuke kept mocking him.
The real blow wasn't the taunt itself—it was Sasuke's blank expression. Urashiki couldn't stand it.
Boom—
A massive golden Kurama came crashing down, slamming a huge paw right where Urashiki was. Naruto glanced at Sasuke beside him.
"Sasuke, Kurama says there's something wrong with this guy's power. The jutsu he's using… he shouldn't be able to use them in his current state."
Heavenly Beads Purple Dragon—Dragon Palace and Heavenly Beads Purple Sphere—Jade Box were techniques that Urashiki could only use in his second-stage crane sage mode. But somehow, this Urashiki was pulling them off without even transforming.
Either his chakra was so insanely strong that he could sustain these techniques without issue, or… something was definitely off.
He had been sealed away, so the first possibility was unlikely. That meant the only explanation was that something strange was going on.
Sasuke raised an eyebrow. "Kurama, what are you even talking about?"
Naruto shrugged helplessly. "I don't know either. That's why he suggested we just ask Urashiki directly."
An Otsutsuki? That basically meant he'd spill everything the moment you asked.
Naruto turned his head toward the sky. "So, mind telling us how you're using those two jutsu without going into crane sage mode?"
Floating in midair, Urashiki's anger from before had completely disappeared. "You lower life forms actually understand supernatural forces? Let me guess—Kaguya told you? I can sense her presence on you."
It was actually the Sage of Six Paths' presence, but since he was Kaguya's son, close enough.
Naruto and Sasuke didn't reply. They just stared at Urashiki.
Urashiki let out a cold laugh before giving them a meaningful look. "You don't actually think I'm the only Otsutsuki in this era, do you? There's someone far stronger than me."
"And he's already learned your so-called… 'jutsu'?" Urashiki scoffed. "I don't get why you call supernatural forces 'jutsu,' but whatever. Either way, he's already figured you out completely."
"It's thanks to him that I can use this power… something you call 'natural energy'?" He suddenly smiled again. "But you don't need to worry about that. You'll die by my hands before you ever meet him."
"Yep, Kurama was right. He really does answer anything you ask." Naruto nodded as he looked at Urashiki.
Sasuke, however, frowned. "Senjutsu? No… I don't sense any senjutsu energy."
He turned to Naruto. "Naruto, can you feel any natural energy coming from him?"
Naruto closed his eyes to sense it, then shook his head. "Nope. I don't sense any senjutsu chakra or natural energy at all. But the jutsu he just used… it did have traces of senjutsu chakra. Just really weak ones."
Sasuke stared at Urashiki, the uneasy feeling in his chest growing stronger. "What's going on…?"
He could understand if Urashiki's chakra was powerful. But it wasn't just that—his entire presence felt off, almost unnatural. He wasn't as weak as Kurama had made him out to be.
Things were getting more complicated by the second.
Damn it… The Otsutsuki Clan really was a pain.
