HP: god of potions

Chapter 150: devour(chapter 149)

Chapter 149

Trigon rose from the rubble of the mountain range, his colossal form aflame with rage and dark magic. He unleashed a storm of hellfire, but Grey didn't flinch. He met the inferno head-on, his body absorbing the flames without slowing. In a blink, he closed the distance, his fist slamming into Trigon's face. The demon lord reeled, and Grey followed up with a brutal kick to his knee, toppling him.

Darkseid returned with a bellow, his Omega Beams lancing toward Grey — but Grey twisted, the beams missing him by inches and carving through the planet's crust instead. Apokolips itself screamed as the surface split, lava erupting skyward. Grey used the distraction, his form blurring as he appeared in front of Darkseid. He drove a knee into the New God's chin, then brought both fists down like hammers. Darkseid crashed to the ground with enough force to collapse an entire continent.

Trigon surged back, his claws slashing wildly, but Grey caught them again. This time, he didn't let go. He twisted with titanic strength, flinging the demon into Darkseid just as the New God rose. The impact sent both hurtling through the atmosphere, their combined forms smashing into a distant volcanic range. The eruption that followed consumed half the horizon.

Grey appeared above them in an instant, his wings spread wide, his body radiating unstoppable power. He descended like a falling star, his fists driving into both their chests. The resulting shockwave shattered mountains, boiled oceans, and cracked the planet's crust. The air itself burned, the atmosphere tearing apart under the strain.

Darkseid swung again, his blow faster than light — but Grey caught it. He twisted the New God's arm, driving his own fist into Darkseid's face with enough force to send him spiraling through the molten core of Apokolips. Trigon followed, his enormous form lunging with all his strength. Grey met him mid-air, their clash igniting the sky in a storm of fire and ice.

The fight continued, their blows reshaping the planet itself. Apokolips burned, cracked, and crumbled — yet still, the combatants fought. But Grey was relentless. He was stronger, faster, and more precise. Every strike drove them further back, his power overwhelming even their combined might.

Finally, the end came. Grey stood over their broken forms, his body glowing with the energy of his potions. He raised his hands — and reality itself bent to his will. With a final, wordless effort, he compressed their forms, the weight of their defeated power condensing into a single, perfect sphere. The ball of crimson pearl shimmered in his palm, containing the combined essence of two of the most powerful beings in existence.

After turning them into a pearl, Grey stopped himself and withdrew his domain, where several figures were waiting for him. One of them was a male figure with a unique facial marking: a blue-grey or purple circle covering the rightmost two-thirds of his face, reminiscent of a partial eclipse. This distinctive feature symbolized his connection to darkness and eclipses. In various portrayals, Eclipso's appearance included a dark, form-fitting costume, sometimes complemented by a cape and a menacing expression that reflected his malevolent nature. The other was a skeletal figure with a gaunt, corpse-like visage that emphasized his association with mortality. His attire typically consisted of dark, tattered robes or armor, exuding an aura of decay and darkness. Nekron's eyes were usually depicted as hollow or glowing with an eerie light, followed by a bunch of rotting corpses. If that wasn't enough, a bunch of demons and angels appeared, making Grey smile as he said, "A bunch of ingredients brought themselves to me." He thought to himself as he prepared for another round of slaughter.

-Scene Change-

Back on Earth, at the Titans Tower, which was destroyed, everybody that survived was there. White Raven and Damian were hugging each other as the others rested on the beach of the island. Rachel was staring into the sea, watching and waiting for Grey when Raven approached her. "Aren't you going to look for him?" she asked as Rachel sighed. "Grey trusts me with his life, and I trust him with his life," she paused before sighing again. "He knows he is not allowed to die without my permission," she said, making everyone look at her with a hint of admiration. Despite saying such words, Rachel was still looking at the sky when suddenly, she smiled as Grey appeared.

"Hmmmm," he hummed happily as he landed in front of Rachel, who asked, "Are you done?" Although she smiled a little, Grey responded, "Yup, they are gone, forever. Although a bunch of demons and angels showed up along with some other random characters," he said as everyone breathed a sigh of relief—just to realize what he had said. "Is my father gone?" Raven asked as Grey nodded. "Yeah, don't worry though. If you need someone to walk you down the aisle, just ask Batsy over there," he said, pointing to Batman, who seemed confused for a second before finally seeing how close Raven and Damian were, which made him smile. "Anyway, it's time we visit my parents," Grey smiled as he started checking out Rachel, who frowned a little. "What?" she asked as he grinned. "Come on, you're meeting your boyfriend's parents for the first time. The least you can do is look presentable. Your good looks aren't going to get you everywhere," Grey teased, making Rachel chuckle softly.

"Then what do you recommend I wear?" she asked as Grey suddenly smiled, pondering for a moment before summoning large threads of multiple colors. To everyone's shock, he began literally creating a dress for Rachel from scratch. Once finished, the dress was an elegant and gothic ensemble, exuding an air of mystery and sophistication. It featured a high-collared bodice with intricate lace detailing that extended down the fitted sleeves, flaring out at the wrists into delicate ruffled cuffs. The dark, luxurious fabric was adorned with subtle embroidery, adding a touch of ornate refinement. The skirt flowed gracefully to the floor, a blend of deep forest green and black layers cascading in structured yet fluid pleats. The outer layers were slightly sheer with ruffled edges, enhancing the ethereal quality of the gown. Gold accents, possibly in the form of delicate brooches or fastenings, added a regal touch to the ensemble. Her striking white hair contrasted beautifully against the dark fabric, giving her an even more otherworldly presence. The deep hues of the dress complemented her usual gothic aesthetic, while the refined structure of the gown made her appear like a dark sorceress, an ascended celestial being embodying both grace and power.
