Chapter 151: reveal(chapter 150)
Chapter 150
"Beautiful," Raven said with a hint of jealousy as every woman present was instantly infatuated despite the toll the battle had taken on them. "It is beautiful," Rachel agreed as Grey smiled. "Of course it is—who do you think designed it?" he said as he also summoned a suit. Although it was generic, with his appearance, he could make a plastic bag look good. "Alright then, it's time," he said as he summoned the TARDIS. But before they left, he stopped suddenly and approached Constantine. "What, mate?" John asked as Grey smiled—before suddenly kicking the man in the groin. "Agh!" John fell to the ground as every man winced. "That is for turning my girlfriend into a cane," Grey said before placing a vial of potion in front of him. "And that is for letting me meet her," he added with a smile. Grey then turned toward the Flash. "I originally wanted to go back in time and change the events, but since you belong in this timeline, there's less chance of the timeline shattering if you do it," he said. Flash, who had been depressed as he felt responsible for the tragedies that had happened, managed a small smile at Grey's words before starting to run. "Alright, let's go and meet my parents," Grey said as he offered Rachel his hand, which she accepted.
-scene change-
Paris shimmered under the soft glow of the moon, its cobblestone streets winding through historic neighborhoods. The Eiffel Tower stood tall, casting a gentle light over the city, while the Seine River reflected the twinkling lights of nearby cafés and boutiques. In the district of Pigalle, known for its vibrant nightlife and iconic cabarets like the Moulin Rouge, the atmosphere buzzed with energy as locals and tourists mingled. The aroma of freshly baked pastries wafted through the air, blending with the distant melodies of street musicians. Above, the sky was clear, stars dotting the expanse, creating a picturesque Parisian night.
Suddenly, a deafening crash disrupted the serenity. Buildings trembled as a towering figure emerged from the shadows—a villain akumatized by Monarch. This monstrous being, dubbed "Stoneheart," was a massive creature made entirely of jagged rocks, with glowing red eyes and cracks emitting fiery light. With each step, the ground quaked, and vehicles were tossed aside like toys. His fists, capable of smashing through concrete, left a trail of destruction, turning bustling streets into chaotic ruins.
Atop a nearby rooftop, two silhouettes appeared against the moonlit sky. Ladybug, adorned in her red and black-spotted suit, her blue hair tied into pigtails, exuded confidence and agility. Beside her stood Cat Noir, clad in a sleek black leather suit with cat ears and a swishing tail, his blonde hair tousled and green eyes gleaming with determination. Both heroes surveyed the scene, their expressions a mix of concern and resolve. They exchanged a brief nod before leaping into action, their movements synchronized and fluid.
Landing gracefully amidst the chaos, Ladybug scanned the area, noting the extent of the damage. "We need to find out what's causing this," she said, her voice steady. Cat Noir twirled his staff, eyes narrowing at the rampaging villain. "Looks like Stoneheart's back, but something's different," he observed. Ladybug nodded, "Monarch must have enhanced his powers. We have to be careful." They cautiously approached, seeking any clues that could help them understand the villain's new abilities.
Without warning, Stoneheart swung his massive arm toward them, forcing the heroes to dodge swiftly. Cat Noir lunged forward, aiming a strike at the villain's leg, but his staff merely bounced off the hardened surface. "He's tougher than before!" Cat Noir exclaimed. Ladybug somersaulted over a falling streetlamp, her yo-yo spinning in readiness. "We need to find his akumatized object," she reminded. They continued their assault, each maneuver testing their skills and teamwork against the formidable foe.
Before Ladybug and Cat Noir could engage Stoneheart, the colossal villain suddenly halted, as if an unseen force restrained him. The heroes exchanged bewildered glances, their weapons poised, unsure of the unexpected intervention. Above them, the fabric of reality seemed to tear, revealing a luminous rift from which two figures emerged, descending gracefully to the ground. The first was a woman with striking white hair, clad in an elegant gothic ensemble: a high-collared bodice with intricate lace detailing, flowing into a skirt of deep forest green and black layers, adorned with subtle gold accents. Beside her stood a man of equal allure, his white hair contrasting sharply with his impeccably tailored suit; his presence exuded an effortless charm that seemed to make even the simplest attire appear regal.
Ladybug and Cat Noir tensed, instinctively readying themselves to confront these enigmatic newcomers. As they prepared for potential combat, the man spoke in a voice that resonated like celestial music, "So, it's them, my parents." The woman beside him nodded, her tone calm and measured, "Yes, Ladybug and Cat Noir." The heroes exchanged confused looks, lowering their guard slightly. Cat Noir broke the silence, "Parents? I think you're confusing us for someone else." Ladybug added, "Yes, you two look older than us."
The man stepped forward, his gaze gentle yet probing, "You are Cat Noir and Ladybug, right?" Cat Noir nodded cautiously, "We are, but that doesn't mean we're your parents. Plus, I have a girlfriend." Ladybug chimed in, "Yes, and I have a boyfriend." A mischievous smile played on the man's lips, "You mean Adrien and Marinette?" The revelation struck them like a lightning bolt. Ladybug stammered, "What?" Cat Noir echoed, "No." The man sighed softly, raising his hand. An unseen force tugged at their Miraculouses, and before they could react, their superhero personas dissolved, leaving Marinette and Adrien standing exposed before each other, their secrets laid bare.
Marinette's eyes were wide as she stared at Adrien, her breathing uneven as her mind spun. Her hands trembled as she clutched her Miraculous, barely able to comprehend what had just happened. "N-No… No, no, no, no…" she whispered, taking a step back. "You mean to tell me—" she pointed at Adrien, her voice cracking, "—that YOU, Chat Noir, the guy who flirts with me every single day, who calls me 'his lady,' who tells me how much he adores me—" she exhaled sharply, her face burning, "—YOU'RE ADRIEN?!"
