I am a former Flame Chasers

Chapter 261: Chapter 261: Mobius is Going to Settle the Score!

What?

Mobius didn't immediately grasp what was happening. She was mentally calculating how she'd settle things with Ryan later, intending to give him a piece of her mind. When talking to Sakura, she had been a little dismissive, just killing time.

Then, while chatting, she suddenly froze, stopped breathing, and quickly lifted her head.

What did this guy just say? And it was too direct, damn it! She didn't even have the grace of a lady.

She instinctively wanted to respond sharply, but when she met Sakura's eyes, she paused. Her eyes quickly scanned the surroundings before she straightened her posture.

"Yes, what do you want?" Mobius admitted, for the first time, that she was caught off guard. Luckily, it was Sakura standing there. She was surprised, but there wasn't any mocking expression—just a hint of relief.

"Sure enough, in this situation, everything makes sense."

"What makes sense?"

"Your feelings have outgrown your ideals, and now you're doing things that aren't in your best interest."

Sakura didn't beat around the bush, and Mobius's eyes widened. She didn't like that statement at all; it felt like an insult.

"Nonsense. Do you think I'm as love-struck as Elysia?"

"Miss Elysia loves everything, just not what you think. I must say, you've given me a new perspective on you." Sakura smiled faintly, tying her fluttering hair into a ponytail, looking surprisingly capable.

"New perspective? That sounds weird," Mobius thought.

She took out a rubber band and tied her long green hair into two ponytails.

"You're the same?"

"No. My goal has always been to protect the bell, so I've been traveling with Ryan from the start."

"Don't get me wrong. To be honest, Ryan fits my concept of evolution, and he's a precious specimen. It's not just about emotions."

"Dr. Mobius, do you find it fun arguing with me?"

"It's interesting. I'm not a love-struck fool; I'm a rational and intelligent being."

"You've got a lot of pride. No wonder there's been no progress with Ryan. You're getting exactly what you deserve." Sakura gently shook her head. She said this because she and Mobius had agreed to unite. According to Ryan's message, he hadn't come alone.

Who were the outstanding women accompanying him this time? Sakura was eager to meet them.

Suddenly, Sakura stood up like a drawn sword, her eyes narrowing slightly as she gazed at the sky. A pink flash appeared in her field of vision.

Someone was coming… this feeling...

The pink meteor shot across the sky and landed on the tarmac in the blink of an eye. The pink-haired girl knelt on one knee, her skirt spreading like butterfly wings, and her gorgeous face was filled with a carefree smile.

Super Elysia made her debut!

Both Mobius and Sakura were momentarily stunned, and the excitement they had just built up faded away. Mobius, especially, had a headache seeing her.

"Elysia, why are you here?"

"Hmm? Can't I come, dear Mobius?"

Elysia's eyes lit up as she dashed toward Mobius, causing her to retreat quickly and crash into the guardrail.

"What do you think you're doing?"

"Nothing, just thinking your new hairstyle suits you! It looks playful, and you suddenly look years younger," Elysia said, quickly tying her own hair into two ponytails, then pulled out a mirror to check herself out. She puffed up her cheeks and shook her head.

"I look great like this, thanks for the inspiration♪"

"Oh, no, no thanks! How do I look years younger? I'm not old!" Mobius started out proud but soon realized.

"It's just that you're more beautiful. And Sakura, your ponytail looks nice too. It looks heroic."

"Thanks, Ellie." Sakura smiled and nodded, only to see Elysia sporting a strange grin.

Her eyes sparkled as she circled around both Sakura and Mobius, making them both feel a little uncomfortable.

"What are you looking at?"

"I just think you two are being too obvious in waiting for Ryan. Are you trying to settle this before he arrives? No, no, good friends can't fight."

Sakura didn't think much of it, but just as she was about to explain that she and Mobius weren't fighting, she heard a sharp voice.

"Elysia, stop overthinking. That guy told me to wait, otherwise, I wouldn't have come!" A proud smile spread across Mobius's face. It's fine to have a tacit understanding with Sakura, but she wouldn't lose face in front of Elysia.

With her big mouth, after Ryan heard this, would I have any status left? Wouldn't he control me completely?

Mobius's old issue had resurfaced, but it was nothing new—she was a proud person.

Sakura, meticulous as always, immediately saw the conflict in Mobius's behavior. No one could suppress her, even if she gave in to Ryan. At most, she'd only yield a little.

"Hehe, dear Mobius, you're being stubborn again." Elysia laughed, covering her mouth. Seeing Mobius frown, she shrugged and said, "Ah, yes, yes, I always believe you, even if you're right."

She loved everyone and was excellent at judging how far to push her jokes. She knew how to stop before Mobius got really upset.

"Even if?"

Mobius was still a little irked. The lessons of repeated defeats reminded her not to get caught up with Elysia, so she responded, "What's wrong with you? Don't you know what time it is?"

She was serious. Elysia wasn't part of the plan because Ryan didn't want her getting dragged into this mess. It was honestly a bit of jealousy.

"Uh, I just rushed here when I saw the news."

"Then did you provide cover? Leave a fake target or something?" Mobius asked, noticing Elysia was sweating slightly, hands behind her back, whistling lightly.

"Well, it seems that there is no."

The answer was clear, but neither Mobius nor Sakura blamed her. Ryan's idea was simple—he didn't want to drag Elysia into this but hoped she'd make her own decision.

That was actually good for him. Elysia had come after all.

The two looked at each other, both feeling a sense of helplessness. Elysia's appearance had only added more pressure.

Because Elysia liked everyone, she'd never get involved in this kind of conflict. And if she had to make a choice... did that mean...

Huahuahua...

Before they could think further, the sound of blades cutting through the air reached them. A rotorcraft with the Fire Moth emblem zoomed in fast and dangerously.

It wasn't planning to land smoothly; it dove straight down to the roof.

An enemy attack?

Sakura immediately gripped her knife, but the rotorcraft climbed just above her head before settling smoothly in the center of the 'H' on the roof.

The door opened, and Ryan jumped out, looking pale and unsteady on his feet.

He regretted it—Kalpas wasn't venting his anger; it was clear he was getting back at him.

Ryan shook his head. It was impressive that Kalpas managed to knock him out. The trip across half the earth hadn't been smooth for a moment.

Diving or wildly climbing, accompanied by loud laughter, it was like a biker gang. The worst part was, he wasn't allowed to fly alone, so they had to endure the chaos together.

Looking back, Ryan saw Aponia vomiting into a paper bag, and Pardofeliss had fainted, her eyes rolled back as if she couldn't take it anymore.

"Very cool! My mood just got a lot better!" Kalpas leaped off the plane, laughing loudly. Things had been going well for him recently, but this had been a little uncomfortable. It felt so refreshing to release some pent-up frustration.

He looked up and saw Mobius and the others, their stunned expressions making him even more excited.

Is this Ryan's team? The green-haired one is alright, but the two pink-haired ones are really strong. It'd be great if they could fight.

Unfortunately, he'd made an agreement with Ryan that no one else could interfere before a winner was decided.

Kalpas felt a bit regretful, but as a man, he would never back down.

Where did this lunatic come from?

Both Sakura and Mobius had the same thought. Kalpas wasn't hiding anything, and a powerful aura of madness surrounded him.

Sakura instinctively tensed, and Mobius's lips twitched. She wasn't sure what to make of it, but the look Kalpas gave her made her blood pressure skyrocket.

"Hey, is this the helper you found?"

"His name is Kalpas. He's not exactly a helper. We just help each other out," Ryan said with a high EQ, nodding at Elysia.

For some reason, seeing the pink fairy, despite telling herself not to be sentimental, made Ryan feel incredibly happy. But now wasn't the time for chatting.

The happiness was overwhelming, making Mobius's face darken. Rolling her eyes, she saw Ryan's fear of Kalpas, so she plastered the friendliest smile on her face and walked over, extending her hand.

"Kalpas, right? You can call me Mobius."

Kalpas glanced at her outstretched hand and turned away. "Go away, don't try to get close to me."

Huh?

Mobius blinked, as if she hadn't heard correctly. Over the years, she was the one who usually put others down, never the other way around. After a few seconds, her face quickly turned red.

"You..."

"Alright, alright, Mobius. This Mr. Kalpas has a strong personality." Sakura quickly intervened. She could already tell that this was a dangerous person, and the murderous intent was genuine.

For someone like him, either you win, or you keep your distance. As she pulled Mobius away, Kalpas suddenly spoke up.

"Hey, what's your name?"

The girl turned in surprise and replied seriously, "Sakura."

"Okay, I'll remember it." Kalpas nodded and said nothing more. He was already annoyed by the green-haired woman, and frankly, he liked the pink-haired one more.

Why treat them differently?!

Mobius was even more upset. She caught sight of Ryan laughing secretly. Her snake-like eyes seemed to burn with fire, and she wanted to lash out.

Remember, remember, remember this, Kalpas!
