I Became a Digimon and Change Worlds Every Month

Chapter 22: As Long as I Reach There...

In terms of overall strength, Digimon are generally categorized into stages: In-Training, Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, and Mega.

Of course, this is just a general rule.

Some Digimon are anything but ordinary.

Take Lucemon, for example. Even in his Rookie stage, he possesses power that rivals or even surpasses some Mega-level Digimon.

Qilinmon is another such case. Despite being an Ultimate-level Digimon, its power is comparable to a Mega.

Even though Biomeric Thunderbirmon is exceptionally strong among Ultimate Digimon, the gap between him and Qilinmon is massive.

Not to mention, after the prolonged chase with Moss, Biomeric Thunderbirmon had already consumed a significant amount of energy.

Fighting against a powerful and unfamiliar opponent while in a weakened state—there could only be one outcome.

BOOM!

Biomeric Thunderbirmon let out a miserable cry as he plummeted from the sky. However, just before hitting the ground, he abruptly stopped three to four meters above the surface.

The powerful wind pressure from his sudden halt blasted the ground, raising a thick cloud of dust that rolled outward in all directions.

"Damn it!" Biomeric Thunderbirmon snarled in fury, glaring at Qilinmon with hatred.

Just then—

WHOOSH!

Qilinmon vanished.

"Wha—?! Where did he go?!" Biomeric Thunderbirmon's eyes widened in shock as he frantically scanned the area.

Meanwhile, Moss, though wearing a mask that obscured her eyes, could see everything clearly.

Qilinmon hadn't disappeared.

Rather—he was simply moving too fast, creating the illusion that he had vanished.

As expected of a Mega-level powerhouse!

"There!" Biomeric Thunderbirmon finally locked onto Qilinmon's position.

Even though Digimon aren't exactly the same as real-world animals, they do inherit certain biological traits.

For instance, Biomeric Thunderbirmon had the sharp eyesight of a bird, allowing him to spot Qilinmon within a fraction of a second.

But seeing doesn't mean dodging.

Qilinmon was too fast.

Whether it was turning, accelerating, or dodging, he outclassed Biomeric Thunderbirmon in every way.

BOOM!

Because he could see the attack coming, Biomeric Thunderbirmon could only watch helplessly as Qilinmon's mighty hooves slammed into him.

His mind went blank for a moment.

Then—

CRASH!

Biomeric Thunderbirmon slammed into the ground, feeling like his bones had shattered.

For the first time in a long while—

He felt fear.

His first instinct was to run.

He may have been battle-hungry, but only when he had the upper hand.

If victory wasn't certain—he would retreat without hesitation.

Live to fight another day!

"I just need to recover, and then I'll wipe them all out…"

With this thought in mind, Biomeric Thunderbirmon ignored the pain, struggling to lift himself off the ground and fly away.

But then—

He glanced back.

And—

His blood ran cold.

Qilinmon was already behind him.

If he gets me one more time, I'm dead!

No, he himself wouldn't die, but the Thunderbirmon Digimon fused to his body would be destroyed.

If that happened, he would lose all his strength.

There was no time to think.

Biomeric Thunderbirmon immediately canceled his Digivolution, returning to his human form—Sei.

BOOM!

The moment his body reverted, Qilinmon abruptly halted his attack.

Seeing the human figure before him, Qilinmon's eyes widened in shock.

Originally, he had intended to strike Biomeric Thunderbirmon with a final blow, forcing him to revert into a Digiegg so he could be safely transported back to the Digital World.

But—

How did a Digimon suddenly become a human?!

Qilinmon could sense it clearly—this wasn't some kind of disguise.

This human… was really just a human.

Why does a human have the power to become a Digimon?

What kind of twisted experiment is this?

Qilinmon didn't know.

But he did know one thing—as a Royal Knight, he couldn't harm humans.

Unlike Digimon, humans don't reincarnate as Digieggs.

Once dead, they're truly gone forever.

"NOW'S MY CHANCE!"

Sei's eyes gleamed sharply as he spotted a manhole cover ten meters away.

That's it!

If I can just reach that sewer—

No one will be able to catch me!

He immediately bolted forward.

10 meters…

8 meters…

5 meters…

Almost there!

But just then—

A white shadow dropped from the sky.

Right on top of the manhole cover.

A pair of radiant, eight-winged feathers spread open, exuding an aura of divine majesty.

Curvaceous, alluring, yet holy.

Angewomon.

Moss.

She stood directly over the manhole cover, arms folded, a playful smile on her lips.

"Sorry, but this spot is already taken."

Seeing that smug expression, Sei exploded in rage.

"YOU B*TCH! GET OUT OF MY WAY!"

Before the words had even fully left his mouth, he threw a punch.

A punch imbued with purple Digital Energy.

BOOM!

Moss simply raised her left hand, fingers open.

She caught his punch effortlessly.

"WHAT!?" Sei's eyes widened in disbelief.

Even without Digivolving, his enhanced body was far beyond that of normal humans.

With Digital Energy backing him up, even a Champion-level Digimon wouldn't dare take his punch head-on!

Yet this Angewomon…

Caught it.

Without budging an inch.

Moss didn't give him time to process it.

SLAP!

With her free hand, she backhanded him across the face.

Sei was sent flying ten meters before crashing onto the ground.

Moss calmly walked forward, then—

STOMPED DOWN on his chest.

"Damn you…!" Sei gritted his teeth in fury.

His pride was in tatters.

He had never been so humiliated.

He swore—

One day, he'd return the favor tenfold!

THUD! THUD! THUD!

Moss stomped on him a few more times for good measure.

It was a shame that he had already reverted to human form—otherwise, she could've beaten his Digimon out of him.

"Enough."

Qilinmon landed nearby, gazing at her with a disapproving look.

"This isn't the way an Angewomon should fight."

Moss turned to him, smirking.

"Oh? Then tell me—"

"Who decided that?"

Qilinmon: "..."

She's… polite, but oddly unsettling.
