I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!

Chapter 125 Indoor Play time

Next class was playtime.

And for once, Alina decided to keep things simple. "No garden today," she said with a smile as she slid open the colorful toy cupboard. "Let's stay in the classroom. Indoor playtime it is."

The moment those words left her mouth, a loud groan echoed across the room.

"Argh! No outdoor?!" Luna complained, her voice sharp with disappointment and she stomped once like she was about to protest—

—but then, without warning, she dropped into a tiny gray puffball and zoomed toward the reading corner.

Seconds later, she returned carrying her battle-scarred rabbit plushie, one ear hanging by a thread, the other completely missing. Its face looked like it had seen things.

She flopped down on the rug with it, curling around the half-dead toy like it was a war trophy.

Alina blinked. Her lips twitched. "Not even five seconds of rebellion…"

Across the room, a small cabinet rattled ominously.

Alina squinted.

Then—BOOM!

"RAHHHHHHHH!"

Boo burst out in a cloud of glitter, floating wildly in every direction with sparkles trailing behind him like a possessed party popper. His cheeks were puffed dramatically, and he flailed his arms while making ghost noises that weren't even scary.

Luna threw her rabbit at him.

He dodged and cackled, zooming past Sable's shadow like a glitter comet on sugar.

Meanwhile, Kelpie had very quietly pulled a large, squishy fish toy from his backpack. It was oddly shaped, looked like a cross between a sponge and a water balloon, and was decorated with googly eyes and a tiny pink ribbon around its tail.

He placed it gently on the floor, gave it a proud pat, and began brushing its fins with his fingers.

Rocky, who had been sitting beside him like a shy boulder, leaned closer and poked the fish once with one hesitant finger.

Boink.

The fish bounced slightly.

Rocky gasped.

Then poked again.

Kelpie giggled, eyes lighting up. The fish wobbled again.

Soon both of them were poking and giggling like it was the best invention in the world.

On the other side of the room, Sable sat cross-legged in the shadows near the bookshelf, completely ignoring the noise around him. His own shadow had taken on small playful forms—tiny wolves and birds that danced along the floor. He watched them in quiet wonder, his big eyes full of amazement.

Alina made a mental note to check his notebook later. He always drew the things his shadows showed him, and honestly… half the time they were better than picture books.

Then, in the furthest corner of the room, legs crossed and foreheads nearly touching—

Drake and Vlad Jr.

They were talking animatedly. Or rather… arguing.

"No, I have the stronger fire attack!" Drake declared, flailing his arms.

"Dragons have breath, vampires have brains," Vlad Jr. countered coolly.

"Says who? You only drink juice, you don't even bite anything!"

"Because I have class, peasant."

"I will breathe on your juice box!!"

Alina sighed.

And then—

Her eyes landed on them.

Lucien and Felix.

Sitting side by side on the soft pillows by the window, the warm sunlight falling gently across their heads like a halo. Lucien was calmly flipping through a storybook, his long fingers resting elegantly against the pages, while beside him…

Felix had turned into a small, smug white fox.

His nine tails, fluffy and silky, were fanned out behind him like a royal blanket, each one twitching lazily every few seconds as if they had mind of their own.

And Alina?

She couldn't move.

She stood frozen by the toy shelf, heart melting into pudding, her hand slowly reaching into her coat pocket.

She pulled out her phone.

Tapped record.

Because there was no way she was letting this moment go undocumented.

Fox Felix turned slightly, noticed her recording, and gave the tiniest blink of acknowledgment before continuing to wag his tail ever so casually.

After recording Felix's majestic tail fluff, Alina turned to the rest of the room, phone still in hand. She quietly tiptoed around scattered blocks and toy crumbs, catching tiny moments—Kelpie squishing his sponge-fish while Rocky stared at it like it might explode, Boo stuck upside down in the cabinet again with glitter on his nose, and Sable's shadow birds flying across the floor like tiny ghosts with wings.

Then she turned toward the reading corner.

And paused.

Her tiny gray ears twitched furiously. Her golden-brown eyes were narrowed in fierce focus. And in her arms—clutched like a villain in mid-battle was her poor, half-ripped rabbit plushie.

The rabbit's eye was dangling by a thread. Its stuffing peeked out from one side like it had seen too much.

And Luna?

Luna was biting it.

Literally.

Soft growls bubbled from her throat like a baby wolf guarding her territory. Her tiny fangs were sunk into the plush's ear, and she shook it once with rage, tail flicking behind her like a broom on fire.

"Grrr! Stupid bunny! Why won't you fight back?!"

Alina clapped a hand over her mouth, trying so hard not to laugh. But the sight was too much. Not because it was scary.

Because Luna's fur had puffed up so much she looked like an angry walking cotton ball.

A very angry, very fluffy cotton ball.

Alina stayed frozen in place, still half-hiding her laughter behind her hand, as Luna's sharp little eyes locked onto hers with all the pride of a victorious warrior. Then, without a single sound, the tiny wolf padded toward her, tail flicking and ears twitching

She stopped right in front of Alina's shoes and gently dropped the defeated bunny onto the floor.

Then, very seriously, with all the elegance of a Queen rewarding her subject with proof of her conquest, Luna lifted one tiny paw… and dabbed it right on the bunny's chest.

A soft, fluffy tap.

As if saying, "See? I got him. He's alive, but barely."

Alina blinked.

Before she could say anything, Luna bent down, picked the bunny back up by its ear with her mouth, and trotted away like a tiny huntress returning to her den.

She made her way to her favorite bean couch and with a little hop, climbed on.

There, she dropped the bunny beside her… and immediately began biting the bean couch.
