I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!

Chapter 172 Invitation

Alina's eyes widened, her heart warming instantly. "Really, Lucien? That's wonderful!" She stood up, her face glowing with joy. "You should tell your classmates too. Invite them properly!" She clapped her hands together.

"Everyone!" she called out, her voice carrying across the room.

The babies groaned in unison. "Teacher, you said you will give us breeeeak!" Drake whined, puffing his cheeks and slumping dramatically over his desk.

Alina chuckled softly. "Of course, it is break. But Lucien has something very important to share with all of you!"

That caught their attention immediately. Boo spun in the air like a balloon someone had just let go of. "Important? Is it gossip?? Boo loves gossip!!"

"No, Boo," Alina said, shaking her head with a smile. "It's even better than gossip."

Everyone's eyes shifted to Lucien. He looked a little overwhelmed by the attention but gathered his courage and said, "Tomorrow is my birthday… and you are all invited."

The class erupted.

"BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!" Drake shouted, nearly falling off his chair from excitement.

"Cake?? Will there be cake??" Boo cried, clutching his cheeks like it was life-or-death news.

Luna jumped in her seat. "Luna will run to birthday first!" she declared proudly.

Felix blinked with his big red eyes and muttered thoughtfully, "If there's cake… my mom might want to come too…"

Rocky, still half shy, poked his little stone-marked hands together and said in a tiny voice, "C-can we play too?"

Lucien, cheeks pink but proud, nodded firmly. "Yes. Everyone can come."

Alina's chest melted at the sight of them—all so happy, all so excited for their classmate's special day. She looked at Lucien with warmth and said, "Thank you for inviting us, sweetheart. We'll make sure tomorrow is very special."

And Lucien smiled, just a small smile, but one that glowed brighter than anything else in the room.

The room was still lively with excitement about Lucien's announcement when Boo suddenly plopped himself on top of his desk, clutching his head like the sky had fallen. His little ghostly cheeks puffed out and he groaned dramatically.

"Oh nooo… Boo doesn't know if Ghost Council give permission or not!!" He pouted so hard his whole face scrunched like a raisin.

Lucien bit his lip nervously, his crimson eyes flicking toward Alina, but before he could speak, Drake leaned forward on his chubby elbows, his tail twitching behind him.

"Don't worry, Boo! Just tell them you have extra class! Hehehe," Drake said with a sly grin, clearly proud of his genius plan. Then, his eyes lit up even more. "Oh my god, teacher!! Can we not wear uniforms tomorrow?? Please, please, pleeeease??" He clasped his little hands together dramatically.

Before Alina could even answer, Felix raised his hand with the seriousness of a scholar. "Do we… have to bring you gifts?" he asked, his big red eyes blinking at Lucien.

Lucien nodded quietly, a small smile tugging at his lips.

And that was it—the class erupted into pure chaos.

Kelpie gasped so hard water droplets splashed out of him. He immediately hunched over, whispering to himself. "Fish? Should I give him fish? Or jellyfish?? Yes! Jellyfish is pretty! But… but… what if it stings Lucien?? No, no, bad idea!!" He tugged at his wet hair, spiraling into panic.

Rocky, meanwhile, had frozen in place, staring intently at the corner of the room like a soldier deep in thought. "Lucien… might like pebbles," he muttered in the most serious voice possible. "My colorful collection… yes… maybe…" His tiny hands clenched with resolve like he was about to sacrifice his most precious treasure.

Felix tapped his chin, already sweating. "Peaches! Lucien will like peaches, right?? Yes, yes, my mom always eats peaches, and if I bring peaches, he'll definitely like me… uh, I mean, like the gift!"

Boo was floating in frantic little circles now, holding his cheeks. "Gifts?? Oh no, oh no!! What can Boo even give?? Maybe… maybe Boo can sneak into Ghost Council chamber and steal shiny antique… oh no, oh no, they'll lock Boo in mirror forever!! Teacher help!!!" He zoomed around in sheer panic, nearly knocking over the chalkboard.

Meanwhile Drake's eyes sparkled mischievously. "I could give pearls… shiny ones from my treasure box…" His little claws tapped his desk as he frowned. "But… those are my shinies… mmm… but Lucien is my friend… maybe… one or two… but not all! NO dragon gives all his shinies away!!" He puffed his cheeks, torn between pride and generosity.

Through it all, Lucien just sat quietly in his chair, cheeks pink, clearly touched by the chaos but too shy to say anything.

And Alina was standing at the front of the class, fighting not to laugh out loud. The way each little one treated this birthday invitation like a royal decree made her chest ache with warmth.

Just when Alina thought the drama had peaked, Luna puffed her little cheeks, her golden-brown eyes flashing as she crossed her arms. "Hmph! Everyone is silly. Luna already knows best gift!" She declared proudly, flicking her hair. "I will hunt a rabbit! Or maybe a big deer! Then Lucien can eat fresh meat and say Luna gives the best gifts," she declared with a grin, her tiny fangs peeking through.

"NOOO!!" Boo wailed, nearly fainting midair. "If you bring more dead things, Boo will die again!! Don't do it!!" He flopped dramatically on top of his desk like a tragic ghost actor.

Meanwhile Vlad Jr. stood tall, straightening his little tie with princely flair. His eyes gleamed like he was about to recite poetry. "Lucien, my noble companion deserves only the finest gift. I shall compose… a poem! And perhaps also a handkerchief embroidered with my family crest. Gifts of class, unlike these… fish and rocks." He shot a haughty look at Kelpie and Rocky, who both bristled.

"My rocks are pretty!!" Rocky protested, clutching his tiny collection pouch.

"My jellyfish is shinier than your boring handkerchief!!" Kelpie splashed.

"Jellyfish is slimy!" Vlad Jr. scoffed, nose in the air.

And before the fight could escalate, Luna growled and stomped her little foot. "No one's gift is better than Luna's rabbit!!"

The class was about to explode into chaos again, each baby passionately defending their gift idea like warriors in a battlefield—while poor Lucien sat with red cheeks, silently wondering how he'd survive his own birthday.
