Chapter 175 Music class (1)
Staff Dine Room
"They loved the sweets!!!" Alina said with a soft chuckle, her eyes sparkling with satisfaction. "I think they tasted even sweeter to them because they worked so hard for it!"
Gabriel smiled, nodding in agreement. "That's very true, Lina. When you put effort into something and then enjoy the reward, it always feels sweeter. That memory stays with you—you never forget that feeling."
Alina nodded, her lips curving into a thoughtful smile. She could still picture her little students beaming, clutching their sweets like treasures.
Across the table, Professor Hobb finished his meal with his usual gruff silence and left, followed shortly after by Miss Kelly.
Gabriel leaned a little closer, lowering his voice as if sharing a secret. "Do you know, Professor Hobb used to be an Academy professor?"
Alina's eyes widened in surprise. "Really?" she asked, leaning forward.
"Yeah," Gabriel said with a quiet laugh, nodding. "But later, he was framed by a so-called friend—accused of leaking Academy test papers. He left the Academy after that. Later, the truth came out, his friend was exposed, and the Academy begged him to come back… but he never did."
Alina's brows furrowed as she listened, her heart tugged by the story.
Gabriel continued, his tone softer now. "He has a deep Trickster core, you know. That's rare. It makes him sharp, able to sense loopholes and hidden truths. He could have been at the top of the Academy forever, but instead, he chose to come here. Now he uses all that knowledge to prepare the older kids here for Academy life."
Alina sat back slowly, her brows lifting in quiet surprise. "I never knew…" she whispered, almost to herself.
Gabriel gave a small smile. "That's why he's so strict—and why he looks so grumpy all the time. But behind it, he's always thinking about what's best for the students."

Alina walked toward Class D with a smile tugging at her lips, her steps light with anticipation. Just imagining the children's little faces when they finally learned about music class made her heart bubble with excitement. She pushed the door open gently and stepped inside.
The children hadn't even noticed her arrival. They were gathered in little clusters, whispering and debating in serious tones as though the fate of the world rested on their tiny shoulders. Boo was floating upside down, trying to prove something to Drake, who had his chubby arms crossed like a stubborn prince.
"Goooood morrrrning tecchhhhr!" Boo suddenly spotted her, stretching the word in his usual dramatic way.
At once, all eyes swung to her, and the chorus followed, "Good morning teacher!" Their voices, sweet and uneven, filled the room.
Alina clapped her hands. "Everyone, line up! It's music class time!"
For a moment, the babies froze—then their faces lit up like fireworks.
"Play time!!!" Boo shouted, flipping upside down in the air. "Teacher finally gave Boo's wish!!"
Drake immediately leapt up and began hopping from desk to desk, his chubby arms stretched wide. "We're going to playyy!!!" he sang at the top of his lungs, completely ignoring that she'd said music, not play.
Luna shifted halfway into her little wolf form, tail wagging furiously as she bounded to the front of the line. "Luna is fastest!! Luna will play first!!" she barked proudly.
Sable's eyes sparkled as he hugged his orange plushie tight and shuffled happily into place, whispering to himself, "Teacher let us play… teacher let us play…"
Vlad Jr. straightened his tiny cape, pretending to be dignified, but even he couldn't hide his grin as he marched dramatically into line like a little vampire general.
Kelpie splashed tiny droplets everywhere as he waddled along, chanting, "Play, play, play!!"
Rocky clutched a handful of pebbles like treasure, his stony cheeks glowing faintly as he thought this must be pebble games.
Lucien and Felix exchanged quiet but excited glances, their usual composure breaking into small, eager smiles.
Alina had barely turned around before they all started following her in a wobbly parade, giggling, spinning, and bumping into each other. Boo hovered above them, arms raised, declaring, "Come, my fellow citizens! Boo leads the parade of playyy!"
Drake tried to march like Boo but nearly tripped over his own feet, bumping into Luna, who growled at him before laughing too.
Alina's lips twitched as she led this ridiculous line of babies out of their desks. Oh no… they think music class is playtime.
When Alina finally stopped walking, the parade of babies nearly bumped into her back. She stood before a tall wooden door, beautifully carved with flowing notes, little flutes, and dancing children painted across its surface. The edges were decorated with tiny bells that jingled softly when the air shifted.
The babies' eyes grew wide.
"Teacher…" Drake tilted his head, rubbing his messy hair with one chubby hand. "Did you… forget the way to the playground?" His round eyes blinked in confusion.
Boo gasped dramatically, floating upside down until his little ghostly tail pointed at the carvings. "Oh no! Teacher brought us to scary magical door of secrets!!! Boo read about this in ghost scrolls!! Whoever enter will be trapped forever singing la-la-la—"
"Don't be silly," Vlad Jr. interrupted, though he was secretly staring at the bells with suspicious eyes. "This is clearly… some kind of vampire ballroom."
"Ballroom???" Kelpie's eyes lit up as he clapped his wet little hands. "Then maybe we can dance in water puddles!"
"Teacher," Rocky muttered in his small voice, clutching two pebbles nervously, "what if the door eats us?" He peeked from behind Lucien.
Lucien, calm as ever, simply asked, "Teacher… what is this place?" His crimson eyes shone with a mix of curiosity and unease.
Luna, still half in wolf form, stomped her little paw. "Luna doesn't like this! Teacher promised playtime! This looks like boring adult stuff!!" She crossed her arms and puffed her cheeks.
Felix frowned, adjusting his tiny collar. "If this isn't playground, then what if it's… worse? Like… reading class again…" His eyes almost teared up at the thought.
Alina couldn't hold back her laughter at their dramatic faces. She turned, eyes sparkling with mischief. "No, no, my dears. Teacher didn't forget the way." She tapped the carved notes with her finger. "This… is your new surprise. Welcome to… music class."
