"Dominos"

His evolving as the fight drag on but with the defensive barrier he had set on I couldn't do anything to penetrate it. I need something strong, something that is strong enough to breakthrough that seemingly impenetrable layer of pillars.

I am well aware of that so I increase the empower of my blade. The rotation of the fiery arc also increases burning those tentacles before they could even reach me. I remain focus and slowly I was able to read my opponent's attack pattern. It was difficult at first since Dominos' main attack method has change along with his style. He no longer uses a sword like the firsts meeting, now he uses spells that more accustomed to him. The tentacles move much faster now but unlike before I don't feel overwhelmed.

"Okay lets increase the speed again then move the flames to the left" then I move a bit barely dodging a spell that I don't know what was, it doesn't have any signature features of belonging to any elements, all it has is a gray color that seemingly absorbs everything it lands.

With so many rings of blue fire moving in continuous motion it created a perfect counter for Dominos' endless pillars and moving tentacles. I change my stance intending to stack another technique to the one that is currently active.

"Hmm?" I suddenly pick something, so without hesitation I move my blade to counter whatever is flying to me.

The moment the strike connected, the explosion of energy cracked the cave's ceiling, sending veins of the dark matter into the air, scattering like brittle roots under fire. The wave of flames shoved back the abyssal like pillar, and for a moment I saw him.

Dominos with his arms raised, struggling to reforge the spell mid-collapse. It seems that Alicia was doing great even with all the boost our enemy has it still can't penetrate Alicia and Jeremiah's combine effort. His spells that came raining like bullets were being cancel by the two in such a fast rate that it could even overwhelmed him.

I couldn't help but smirk, and since I was presented which such opportunity I grab it. I summoned the power I had gathered from the heavenly bodies and used it as a fuel to empowered the sword. A faint hum can be heard as if the sword is accompanying the will of its master. The falling debris suddenly stop in motion as the power of my technique fall on them. And like meteor from the space it came crashing towards my target.

"Explode" I whisperered and just like that the falling meteors turns into balls of bombs that blew up simultaneously. What came after my attack was a shockwave that blew everything, the mountain where the cave is in was turn into a field of flames.

"Now this reminds me of the fight I had with him first"

I then flew up to where Alicia is, and the moment I left the place where I was standing before was devoured by the mysterious spell he had been using.

"As always you are predicting my moves, even that spell was crafted not to be detected yet you still se through it"

I could hear his voice but somehow it resembles Nirvana's more probably because it was his flesh and bone that consist that body.

"Apollo"

"Yes Alicia?"

"I already put the fragments inside a special space but unfortunately that one sticks to Nero like glue"

I look back at Dominos and indeed at his side is a floating object that resembles a book

"Grimoire?"

So that thing houses one of the fragments, but why I think it looks strange.

[Creator look carefully I think our enemy did something strange]

My eyes suddenly glow as it was being enhance more of the system.

"Hmmm? Did he stack more fragments from the other vessels and put them inside that grimoire?" So that why is why the other vessels seems weak to me they almost dried out of he fragments they contain.

"Now I know why he looks unscathed from my previous attack, the grimoire protected him"

I look back at Alicia and made a gesture that I got it, on the other hand she just smile at me understanding what I meant. My body momentarily disappear, I don't really need to guard her since she is well protected what I need to do is finished the fight fast.

[More spells are coming it seems Dominos had increase the output of the grimoire]

My eyes glow even more and now I could see the flowing shades that represents the spells he is trying to cast. With my eyes enhance by the system I was able to see how the gem in his heart pump more power into the grimoire, casting more spells in inhumane speed.

"That gem is the problem" I tried to close the distance to create the proper distance to my attack but the damn foreign power kept on hindering me.

"That thing is back again" I see where the tentacles will land and where the pillars will appear but I what I couldn't see it, the opening I need to reach him again.

My only problem is that the firepower of my current technique is not enough to penetrate Dominos' newly created defensive barrier. If I use my spells I can probably do it but with Nirvana's flesh capable of absorbing anything I can only rely to the power from the outside just like what Dominos are doing with this dark matter.

The power of the heavenly bodies but somehow I could not use it with my spells. I haven't master its usage that is why I need to rely with my sword to channel its power to my sword art.

Sigh if it weren't for the fact that I was making it to rival Excalibur I would have created into a staff.

Well no use for crying I already made it.

I move my body and use the power of the heavens to create an endless flow of flames. And just like before I move it in rotation. It might seem like I am repeating my technique but there is another two layers. One was a sword technique that mimics a powerful wind spell Zephyr's tornado and the other technique that mimics an earthquake spell. With those three put together even the flow of mana was disrupted.

"Okay that should be enough to repel the annyong tentancles now then, lets access more knowledge from the Sage's sphere" it only took a second and the me in Mahika was able to find the information I need.

My sword began to hum and the power of the stars guided the edge of its blade turning into an energy that cant be seen by the naked eye.

"First let me take care of that gem"

I swung my sword with all my might and an invincible force effortlessly cut through the defensive barrier of Dominos. As the threat approach the grimoire immediately responded and tried to protect its master.

"Oh no you don't"

I could only say though within my attack there another layer that I put just for them.

I saw it while the slash glided like wind into the heart of the enemy's defense, the grimoire raise multiple spells to defend but then upon contact my skill Disintegrate activated and turn the spells into the nothing. With its attempt to defend failed I saw Dominos panicked a bit not expecting such thing to ever occur.

"To think he rely so much on that grimoire"

Though Dominos lost his composure a bit he immediately come up a way to stop my attack. A grosteque aura came from his body it was somehow similar to the dark matter but more sinister. It tried to intercept my attack but just like before it was reduced to nothing by my skill. My attack finally reach Dominos and with no other option he tried to use the power from the world to block me.

"What?" I could hear his bewildered disbelief that he was okay despite having my attack but I could only smirk. Because a second later he realized what happened. The gem that is resting in his heart was destroyed by my strike. The source of his endless supply of energy is now gone. Which means his spells will no longer put pressure on Alicia and Jeremiah.

"That one annoying thing is gone" as soon as the power of the world disconnected the power of the tentacles and pillars decrease, though I ma not sure how he is using the world energy to strengthen this foreign power but its still good its no longer as annoying as before.

"Now it should be easy" I retracted my sword ready to render Dominos' his possession of the fragment.

This fight should end after a few swings but then I guess I was very complacent.

It seems the grimoire is still hiding its true power. I immediately gear up and fortified my defense. With my eyes clear as ever I saw him.

His hand twitched, and from his side, the grimoire opened with a snap.
