I Have A Dual World Seal

Chapter 189: Pianist Achievement Unlocked

Lu Zheng and Lin Wan turned around and saw the restaurant owner they had just met, wearing a casual suit, with neatly combed gray hair, approaching them accompanied by two of his companions, both foreigners of similar age.

"Hello, Mr. Sanders." Lu Zheng stood up and shook hands, "Lu Zheng."

"Hello, Mr. Lu, sorry for the intrusion, these are my two friends, Todd and Pierre," Sanders introduced, "We couldn't resist coming over after hearing your wonderful piano playing."

"Hello, Mr. Lu." Pierre was the first to shake hands with Lu Zheng, his voice filled with admiration, "Your technique is skillful and emotionally rich. Your 'Moonlight' is one of the best versions I've ever heard."

"Thank you." Lu Zheng nodded, thinking to himself that this person knows what's good, and his Mandarin is even better than Sanders'.

After shaking Todd's hand, Sanders took a card from the lobby manager behind him and handed it to Lu Zheng with both hands, "This is the KASAMUVA red card. In the future, Mr. Lu can enjoy a half-price discount, and that Louis XVI piano eagerly awaits your return."

"Thank you." Lu Zheng accepted it with both hands and put it in the inside pocket of his clothes, also complimenting, "That piano feels very comfortable to play, it's a great piano."

Sanders beamed at the comment, "Of course, a custom-made Bosendorfer Louis XVI, shipped from Austria, with a piano technician specifically flown in for final tuning, ensuring this piano delivers the perfect sound."

Lu Zheng blinked and nodded with a look of appreciation, "You've put your money—no, your heart into it."

Receiving praise from a piano connoisseur, Sanders was clearly delighted and appeared very enthusiastic, "KASAMUVA is always open to you, and only pianists like Mr. Lu can bring out the true value of this piano!"

"Thank you very much." Lu Zheng could only thank him again.

Pierre asked on the side, "May I ask if Mr. Lu has graduated or is still studying?"

"I've graduated," Lu Zheng replied.

"Oh? May I ask which music academy?" Pierre asked curiously.

"Um..." Lu Zheng raised his eyebrows, "Hai City Transportation University."

Pierre: (⊙o⊙)

Thinking he misheard, Pierre confirmed, "Hai City Music Academy?"

"Hai City Transportation University," Lu Zheng corrected, "I didn't study music; I graduated in computer science. Piano is just my hobby."

Sanders, "..."

Pierre, "..."

Seeing his two companions dumbfounded, Todd, who didn't understand Mandarin, couldn't help asking, "What did he say?"

Sanders translated, "He said he is a software engineer."

Todd's eyes widened, "What the F..."

"Amazing! Incredible! Are you saying you haven't undergone professional music academy training?" Pierre asked with disbelief, "Not those family tutors or piano classes, but a professional music academy!"

"No," Lu Zheng shook his head.

Sanders said speechlessly, "You... are truly... a genius!"

"This is simply..." Pierre shook his head, "Your piano skills are excellent. I was going to ask if you would like to advance your studies at the Juilliard School, but I didn't expect..."

"Eh?" Pierre quickly reacted, "Then you should undergo professional study! With your current piano accomplishments, after systematic learning, you definitely have a place in the international piano world, and the Golden Hall is not out of reach!"

"Let me formally introduce myself," Pierre extended his hand again, "Jean-Pierre, piano professor at the Juilliard School in Lighthouse Country."

"Hello!"

"Mr. Lu, if you truly haven't had systematic training, I must say, your piano talent exceeds any young pianist I've ever encountered; wasting this talent would be a shame. If you wish, I could send an official admission invitation to you via the school's email, inviting you to the Juilliard School for advanced studies."

"Goodness!" Lu Zheng leaned back tactically, wondering how he ended up meeting a talent scout just by going out for dinner.

Pierre stared intently at Lu Zheng, waiting for his consent.

However...

"Thank you, but piano is just a hobby of mine. I'm not interested in making it a profession." Lu Zheng shook his head, smilingly declining Pierre's goodwill, "Thank you for your offer, but I'll pass."

"But isn't the best profession one's hobby?" Pierre said urgently.

"Indeed!" Lu Zheng nodded.

"Then isn't piano your hobby?" Pierre asked again, "Then you're..."

"It's just one of my hobbies," Lu Zheng chuckled, "I have many hobbies, and no time to dedicate all my energy to the piano. Please don't persuade me; I indeed don't have the mind for it."

"That's truly a pity," Pierre shook his head, "If only professional training..."

Lu Zheng interrupted Pierre, "Mr. Pierre, I have to say, the so-called professionalism in piano, the so-called authority, is nothing but some set rules and regulations. I understand all this and don't need to go to Juilliard. As for rhythm control and emotional input when playing, I believe Juilliard can't help me, and as you said, my rendition of 'Moonlight' is one of the best versions you've heard."

Pierre was speechless because Lu Zheng was correct; true pianists rely on talent.

And clearly, Lu Zheng's talent was unparalleled!

While Lu Zheng and Pierre talked, Sanders was translating to Todd on the other side, and as Sanders spoke more, Todd became more and more puzzled.

Especially when Lu Zheng not only declined Pierre's invitation but also "educated" him a bit.

"Well, maybe you're right, but if you ever have the chance to visit Lighthouse Country and wish to attend a few classes at Juilliard, I would be very welcoming." Pierre shrugged, took out a card, and handed it to Lu Zheng, "My private number is on it; I'd love to chat with you about piano topics anytime, dear pianist."

Lu Zheng politely exchanged contacts with Pierre, and Sanders also joined in asking for Lu Zheng's contact info, "Lu, I might host a few parties in the summer; could I invite you to play a piece?"

Lu Zheng smiled and looked at Lin Wan, "That depends on whether I'm available, and also, whether I can bring a partner."

Sanders laughed heartily, "Your partner would be the brightest pearl at the party!"

Lin Wan nodded in thanks, and the group went to the hotel entrance together. Lu Zheng shook hands with Sanders and the others again to say goodbye, then took Lin Wan's hand and left together.
