Chapter 461: 461 Record of Ragnarok: End of the World, God and Human, Loki's Obsession and An Impossible Love.
The air pressure changed abruptly. If there had been seagulls or any animals around, they would have fled long ago.
The vast, peaceful sea began to recede, silently warning of what was to come. Whether it was Allen's audience or the Ragnarok crowd, everyone was stunned as they watched the sea dry up.
All the water was gone. The sea retreated inward, leaving behind the wreckage of sunken ships and a massive, muddy expanse that stretched for dozens of nautical miles.
"Human, you could have had a chance, but you chose this..." Poseidon's words were harsh.
It was said that a requirement to be a special-grade Sorcerer, like Satoru Gojo, was the strength to overthrow a country. Of course, Satoru Gojo had even greater strength than that, but gods are gods, and Poseidon had the power to end the world.
Poseidon chose the easy path, invoking the power of the sea in the largest tsunami ever seen. Such an event could never happen naturally on Earth, and this made the humans understand the power of the god of the sea, while also reminding the gods of Poseidon's power.
Gojo observed this and glanced sideways at Poseidon. "Don't worry, I'm not regretting anything~"
Gojo didn't panic, didn't feel fear, and didn't regret his decision. Someone like him didn't show weakness, make excuses, or back down. Instead, he took it as a countdown. Would he be able to defeat a god before the sea poured over the land?
...
Allen narrowed his eyes, "I could clearly feel it: Gojo-sensei wanted to win. Regardless of whether this wasn't his world, perhaps nothing was forcing him to fight for humanity. But now, it was different... he definitely wanted to win and Satoru Gojo was a man who acted as soon as he made a decision.'
In an instant, Gojo attacked Poseidon. His face was serious, his eyes sharp—there were no more jokes, no more smiles, just a fight to the death.
The Six Eyes flashed in Poseidon's eyes, and the god also grew serious.
In the second exchange, Poseidon cut Gojo's chest slightly. In the third, Gojo struck Poseidon's face with great force. In the fourth, Poseidon cut Gojo's neck, but Gojo regenerated instantly. In the fifth, Gojo fired a Purple at point-blank range, piercing Poseidon's arm. However, this didn't limit the god's movements.
'It's ridiculous how he can heal his body so easily... Is he even human?'
'Tsk, his body is absurd. Not even special grade curses or Sukuna himself can withstand my attacks with so little damage... What is his body made of?'
Both men were facing off, astonished at the strength of their opponent. However, their movements didn't stop. Shockwaves shattered the ground and the windows of buildings. Yet there was a difference between the two: Poseidon acted as though his strength was insurmountable, but Satoru Gojo had faced Sukuna, betting his life on the line. Every ounce of experience against an opponent of that caliber had made Gojo's "genius" adapt to fighting someone in a disadvantageous position.
"Hollow: Purple."
Poseidon raised his guard, of all Gojo's techniques, Purple was one that he couldn't afford to receive.
That caution was exactly what Gojo wanted. At that moment, when the god went on the defensive, Gojo stopped concentrating his energy on Purple and, in the same movement, stepped forward, penetrating Poseidon's broken stance.
It was just that...
"Ahhh!"
Gojo struck Poseidon in the abdomen with such force that it made him scream. However, Gojo also broke his own hand in the process. But he healed it instantly while continuing to strike Poseidon with his other hand. He repeated this again and again, filling Poseidon's body with a series of terrifying blows.
"Damned human!"
Poseidon tried to defend himself, but Gojo wouldn't let him. He targeted his joints to weaken him. If his opponent were a human, this would have stopped him, but the body of a god was inhuman. Despite the pain, Poseidon could still move. Despite the wounds, he could still move.
"Stop hitting me!" Poseidon grabbed Gojo by the neck and headbutted him. However, unlike when using his trident, it failed to inflict damage.
Gojo smiled and headbutted him back, causing Poseidon's nose to break. "It's a shame; I have a hard head!"
Just one small mistake, out of the thousands of movements they exchanged, tilted the balance. Gojo grabbed Poseidon's face and dragged him across the ground, even over a building. Then, he activated Red at point-blank range, sending Poseidon flying.
"Ahhh!"
Gojo immediately began to recite the incantation of Purple, and when he completed it, he fired an unrelenting sphere, a collision of two infinities. Poseidon tried to counter the Purple, but this time, before he could, Gojo detonated it.
Even Allen was surprised. But then he remembered how unpleasant Gojo was, he had devised a way to prevent Poseidon from defending against Purple.
...
Gojo, about to attack Poseidon, gasped as the shadow of the city was overtaken. Looking behind, he saw the gigantic mountain approaching. It was so large that the tallest building in the city seemed like a small stick.
Gojo had two minutes before the tsunami consumed everything...
Poseidon reappeared on the ground, launching several high-pressure water jets. Gojo teleported, dodging and closing the distance at the same time. Poseidon, his body battered, glared at Gojo in disgust. Even though he considered him a worthy opponent, no one would be happy after being hit so much.
Seeing that Gojo was determined to close in, Poseidon grew angry and increased the speed of his attacks, managing to cut off Gojo's arm.
However, Gojo had achieved his goal and was close enough. Poseidon's smile froze when he saw Gojo laughing.
"Domain Expansion: Infinite Void."
There is a rule for the Domain Expansion, people without cursed energy cannot get trapped inside one. But Sukuna was able to affect humans without cursed energy because, unlike others, he didn't close his domain in a separate space.
Satoru Gojo, who had experienced Sukuna's domain several times, even on the brink of death, could now do the same.
Poseidon felt as if his head was being bombarded with massive amounts of information. At that moment, he shivered and looked at Gojo coming toward him.
Poseidon felt the mortal danger he was in, but due to the domain, he couldn't move as he wished. Gojo was astonished, Poseidon received his domain like no other. Even with the universe's knowledge flooding his mind, this being called Poseidon was still able to move.
Gojo accelerated as a flash of white appeared in his hand.
– "Gojo-sensei, before you fight me, I'd like to show you something..." –
Gojo smiled proudly in the last moment before being stabbed in the abdomen by the trident. However, this didn't stop him from placing his palm on Poseidon's chest.
"White..."
A hole appeared in Poseidon, leaving him without a heart, lungs, or esophagus. The god looked at Satoru Gojo in disbelief.
Gojo received a telepathic message from Poseidon as he lost consciousness, "At the last moment, did you purposely receive my trident...?"
Gojo smiled, "I didn't expect to defeat a god without paying a high price..."
Poseidon smiled before falling to the ground. Gojo also knelt, missing one arm and stabbed, but in his eyes still burned the flame of determination and the joy of victory.
Without thinking, Allen teleported both Gojo and Poseidon back to Ragnarok as the city was swallowed by the sea.
...
The Arena was silent. Poseidon's body, which once seemed like an unattainable existence, now lay in ruins on the ground.
Gojo didn't know what to do or say. He looked up at the sky, his head aching from using his eyes so much. However, he smiled and looked at Allen.
"I told you once that I would win..."
Allen smiled, and Itadori Yuji jumped onto the stage to hug Gojo. Then followed Yuta Okkotsu, who couldn't believe his teacher had defeated a god. From the stands, even Suguro Geto and Nanami were there, whom Allen had somehow managed to bring back, even though they were both dead.
Allen took Poseidon's trident and stored it in his inventory to allow Gojo to regenerate. Then he signaled Göll to guide him to his exclusive zone so he could recover.
Allen paused, noticing that someone was missing.
"Wait... where's Kugisaki Nobara?"
"Kugisaki?" Yuji said as he offered his shoulder to Gojo to walk. "She said she had to go to the bathroom and that she'd catch up with us later."
Allen wanted to hit the cotton-headed fool. This wasn't an NBA stadium. Some gods and demons despised humanity here. Letting her wander alone was idiotic. Allen told them he would go look for her and that they should head ahead.
Yuta and Yuji both grew worried. They had been so focused on Gojo that they forgot about the dangers of the place.
"Let me accompany you," Yuta Okkotsu offered.
"It's fine..." Gojo interrupted, "Yuta, don't worry, my disciple from there is very strong..."
Yuta's eyes widened, but they didn't insist.
"I'll leave it to you!" Yuji said, worried.
"Yeah..."
Allen's response was simple, and he disappeared.
...
Nobara was kneeling, not daring to move. In front of her, crouched down, was a thin man with long green hair, with a white streak. His drooping eyes showed disdain and malice.
"So, you're a human from another world, just like that Satoru Gojo... interesting. That energy you have, with a distasteful tint, reminds me of dark magic."
Nobara was frozen. She had faced many curses, but none had such a dangerous, terrifying presence as this man.
(A/N: Nobara never faced Sukuna in his prime.)
'Damn it, they told me it was dangerous... but in my defense, the directions from that girl named Göll were confusing, and I ended up on the side of the gods...'
"Hey, little girl..." Loki narrowed his eyes and grabbed Nobara's hair. "Tell me, what do you know about that guy?"
"Urgh... didn't they teach you to treat ladies well?"
Loki contorted his face. "A human woman? Don't you understand that this Ragnarok is to eliminate humanity?!"
Loki yanked harder on Nobara's hair, but the girl, though scared, was tough. Far from begging for mercy, she mocked him.
"You're definitely someone who will never be popular with women..."
Loki felt something inside his soul burn. No one knew his secret, a secret he had carried with regret for so many years. He may seem like a hopeless prankster who doesn't care about anything or anyone, but deep down, he loves a woman. He loves her more than anyone—more than his parents, more than his brother, more than his own life.
He has a statue of her, a replica of her, and he's a man who would do anything for her. But unfortunately, it's a love that is unrequited, and that kills him from the inside.
Nobara's words reminded Loki of the futility of his yearning. She paled, feeling that Loki might kill her.
"YOU LITTLE!—"
"What are you doing to my guest, Loki?"
Allen's cold voice penetrated the bones and soul of the god. Needless to say, he was furious. So furious that he could kill Loki at any moment.
"you..."
Loki looked resentfully at Allen as he released Nobara. Loki was a liar and a trickster, a master of deception. He could always hide his feelings, thoughts, and heart. However, there is one person he cannot lie to, and it's the one person he hates most in this world.
"SIGURD!"
Loki spat that name, nearly vomiting bile from his mouth. Sigurd, the perpetual lover of Brunhilde, was the reason he couldn't even have a chance.
Allen smiled as he tilted his head. "It's been a while, Loki. Looks like I should give you another beating to stop harassing my wife once and for all..."
Loki paled. Even though he accused Allen of being Sigurd, even if he could see the terrifying resemblance between them. Loki refused, from the deepest part of his soul, to accept that Sigurd was here.
"It's a lie!" Loki pointed at Allen. "I checked his cell, he is still locked up!... Odin went to check him, and you're still there. You can't fool me!. You're not Sigurd!"
Loki thought deeply, knowing how important Sigurd was to resurrecting the primordial gods. Odin couldn't act so calmly if Sigurd had escaped his prison.
The system was terrifying, it could create a perfect copy of Allen from this world. Even Brunhilde wouldn't be able to identify the false Sigurd still locked up. Of course, in the end it was an empty shell, unable to speak or think, but that was enough.
That's why Odin is confused. Allen can't be Sigurd, but there's one undeniable fact: Brunhilde. She's shown her affection for Allen on more than one occasion, and Loki, burning with envy and jealousy, knows how loyal Brunhilde is. She would never act like that for another man.
So they're confused. Did Sigurd acquire the ability to be in two places at once?
It's impossible...
"Believe what you want, Loki, but I warn you, I'll only let this slide once because you're a participant in Ragnarok. But if you put my guests in danger, I'll not only kill you..."
Loki recoiled. Even his hatred for Allen, his jealousy of Sigurd, and his burning obsession with Brunhilde weren't enough to control the fear he felt from Allen's threat.
Allen approached Nobara, who was confused and carried her in his arms before leaving.
"Wow wait! I'm a lady of upstanding values you can't do this to me, without due process and tribute!"
Allen grinned in amusement at Nobara, "I see then I'll have to try my best!"
Nobara snorted at Allen's impudence but no longer complained to hide her own embarrassment.
"What are you?" Loki asked weakly but received no answer.
Of all the women Loki could have fallen in love with, he chose one who would never be his. He can transform into anyone, but no matter how much he turns into Sigurd, he will never truly be him.

A/N: I feel a little sorry for Loki but well that's love, someone has to lose.🍷🗿
