Chapter 10: Fight the secret boss {Fixed}
The dark basement echoed with the sound of combat. A man was getting his ass handed to him by a towering, green-skinned monster.
[One Hour Ago]
[Arakan]: It's dead now.
[Goosein]: Well, that was easy.
[Noah]: Wait… do you hear that? The music just got louder… Why?
A chill ran down their spines as the defeated creature twitched unnaturally. The air became thick with an ominous energy.
[Arakan]: No… it's getting back up!
A notification flashed before them:
[The Second Phase Secret Boss: Green Slimy Man, Garden Protector]
HP: 20,000 / 20,000
[Noah]: Shit.
[Thirty Minutes Later]
[Goosein]: DIE!
With a mighty leap, Goosein launched himself at the creature, delivering a crushing punch to its face. The boss let out a final, guttural screech before collapsing into a puddle of foul, green slime.
[Noah]: IS THAT ALL YOU'VE GOT?!
[Arakan]: NO! WHY DID YOU SAY THAT?! NOW THERE'S GONNA BE ANOTHER PHASE!
A deep, rumbling laugh echoed from the green sludge, sending shivers down their spines.
Slowly, another figure began to emerge—a hulking, grotesque form. The music swelled, now deafening.
They all stared in horror as the boss's true form was revealed:
[The Last Phase Secret Boss: Shrek, The Eater of Worlds]
HP: 50,000 / 50,000
[Shrek]: You mortals have freed me from my prison… As a reward, I shall end your miserable lives and devour this world.
[Arakan, Noah, Goosein]: JUST DIE!
[Thirty More Minutes of Chaos]
Now, Arakan dangled in the air, Shrek's massive hand wrapped around his throat. He struggled, stabbing at the ogre's arm with a conjured bone sword, but Shrek barely reacted.
[Shrek]: Where are your gods now, mortals?
Noah and Goosein stood frozen, panting heavily. Their attacks had barely made a dent in his health bar.
[Noah]: How the hell do we beat him?!
Arakan coughed, tightening his grip on his weapon. His vision blurred from the lack of oxygen, but he managed a smirk.
[Arakan]: Use violence. If that doesn't work—use more violence.
With one last effort, he plunged his bone sword deep into Shrek's arm.
[Shrek]: Pathetic.
Without hesitation, Shrek hurled Arakan with monstrous force, sending him crashing through the ceiling. His body tore through floors of the building before slamming into the cafeteria, breaking several tables.
[The Cafeteria: A Moment of Peace Before the Storm]
Dazed, Arakan lifted his head.
Around him, the cafeteria was alive with activity. Ahma sat in a wheelchair, assisted by Amiya and a doctor. Rimuru, John, and Akako sat nearby—Akako was happily munching on chocolate cake while Grey stirred a fragrant soup. The air smelled of fresh-cooked food.
[Arakan]: A DEMON IS COMING! GET READY!
In an instant, every Operator in the cafeteria froze. Then, as if a switch had flipped, weapons were drawn. The room went dead silent, all eyes on Arakan.
A tremor shook the floor.
A sickly green hand burst through the ground, followed by another. Then came the head—a hideous, monstrous version of Shrek.
[Arakan]: ATTACK NOW!
[Before Arakan came out of the cafeteria ground]
[Earlier in the Cafeteria – Grey's Perspective]
Grey had been performing for the crowd, her voice carrying over the chatter of Operators enjoying their meals.
[Grey]: That's the last song I remember! I'll be going now, bye!
With that, she sprinted toward the kitchen, slamming the door behind her. She sighed, opening the fridge to grab fish, lemon, and garlic powder. If the ingredients weren't there, she'd just buy them later. For now, she had a lemon-fish soup to prepare.
[Meanwhile, at the buffet line…]
Rimuru hungrily eyed the food, but his gaze kept drifting back to Akako's arm.
[Akako]: Rimuru… stop looking at my arm like that. And put the salt down.
[Rimuru]: Sorry… but I'm starving! And your arm looks like Steak …
Akako groaned.
[Akako]: John, just get us some food, please.
John sighed and gestured toward the buffet.
[John ]: Why not just grab something from the line?
They waited in line, finally reaching the front.
Akako sighed in relief.
[Akako]: Made it. And Rimuru—next time, don't go after my arm. Or anyone else's arms.
Rimuru, holding half the buffet's worth of food, grinned.
[Rimuru]: Some of them said they liked it when I bit them.
John's face darkened. He loaded his gun.
[John']: Names. Now.
[Back to Shrek's Arrival – Grey's POV]
The cafeteria trembled as the grotesque Shrek pulled himself out of the ground.
[Shrek]: More ants in my way? Now I'm angry.
Grey's hands trembled as she dropped the soup. Without thinking, she charged, her cold fire flaring to life. She slammed a burning fist into Shrek's face—
—only to recoil in horror.
[Shrek, The Eater of Worlds]
HP: 37,645 / 50,000 → 37,600 / 50,000]
Her attack barely scratched him.
[Shrek]: Die, ant.
Before she could react, his massive fist slammed into her, sending her flying into the wall. The impact rattled her bones. Pain exploded through her body.
She coughed blood splattering on the floor.

[Grey]: Don't let him hit you. Or else— She wiped blood from her mouth. This will happen.
The Operators, once hesitant, now stood on high alert.
They had fought powerful foes before.
But this?
This was going to be a nightmare.
