Chapter 46: Tyrant Flower Breathing – Kanoe Version
A face with delicate features suddenly appeared before everyone.
The staff at the Butterfly Mansion were lucky—they had already seen Inosuke's face before and were mentally prepared.
But Sanemi Shinazugawa wasn't so fortunate.
This was his first time seeing such a strikingly handsome face on a person whose muscles were so developed yet whose features were as delicate as a girl's.
It was… unsettling.
"What's wrong? Got a problem with my face?"
Inosuke raised an eyebrow, putting his boar mask back on. But the lingering teasing looks around him stoked his annoyance.
At that moment, Ren appeared silently beside him.
"Your name is Inosuke, right?" Ren asked calmly.
Inosuke didn't answer. Instead, he froze.
The next moment, he instinctively jumped back, his pretty face taking on a solemn expression.
When did this guy get so close?!
Inosuke felt a cold sweat run down his back. He prided himself on his beast-like instincts. No one should be able to sneak up on him—unless they were so fast that he couldn't even react!
The thought made him clench his fists, unwilling to admit defeat. At the same time, his heart raced with excitement.
"No! I want to challenge you again—with my Nichirin Swords!"
Without hesitation, Inosuke drew his unique serrated blades.
"Inosuke, stop!" shouted Aoi Kanzaki. "You can't beat Mr. Ren! Don't embarrass yourself again!"
But Inosuke wasn't listening. He charged at Ren, determination blazing in his eyes.
Ren sighed, shaking his head. This stubborn attitude wouldn't stop until he taught Inosuke a lesson. Just as he was about to act, someone else stepped forward.
From above, a graceful figure appeared.
Pure white fabric fluttered in the wind as the girl's lithe form descended like a petal.
Kanao!
Ren immediately recognized her. He smiled faintly and stepped back, observing her intent.
The girl moved with precision, her delicate Nichirin sword gleaming in her hands.
Kanao's calm eyes locked onto Inosuke.
"Tyrant Flower Breathing: Sixth Form – Dominating Whirlpool Blossom!"
A sharp vortex-like sound filled the air as Kanao twisted her body mid-air. She unleashed a spiraling horizontal slash, pink petals seemingly trailing in its wake.
But the beauty of the move was deceiving—it carried the raw dominance of a beast.
The slash struck Inosuke's swords with a loud clang. Though he blocked it, the force sent him flying.
"Whoaaah!"
He tumbled through the air, crashing into a tree in the courtyard. Leaves rained down as he slid to the ground, covered in foliage and looking utterly defeated.
"My… my ribs…" Inosuke groaned, trying to stand.
But Aoi rushed over, pushing him back down.
"Stay still! You're injured, and you need to rest!"
"No! I haven't fought Ren yet!" Inosuke protested, struggling against Aoi's grip.
"You idiot!" Aoi snapped, pinning him down effortlessly. "Stop being so stubborn and listen for once!"
Inosuke grumbled but finally stopped resisting. Lying on the ground, he stared at Kanao, who now stood near Ren.
When did she become so strong?
Inosuke vividly remembered the slash Kanao had delivered—it felt like a tiger had pounced on him. The sheer dominance reminded him of being hunted in the mountains.
Could this be because of Ren?
Inosuke recalled the strange pressure he'd felt earlier when he faced Ren. It was like standing before a giant hornet, constantly on edge, knowing it could strike a fatal blow at any moment.
Exciting!
A wide grin spread across Inosuke's face, but Aoi smacked him back down.
"Stop smiling, you lunatic!" she scolded.
Meanwhile, Kanao gracefully landed beside Ren. She held a new Nichirin sword, designed with a floral pattern and custom-weighted to suit her needs. The impact of her earlier attack was partly due to the sword's unique design, crafted under Ren's guidance.
Standing before Ren, Kanao's intent to protect him was clear.
After confirming there was no danger, she turned to him and asked with concern, "Are you okay, Mr. Ren?"
Ren smiled gently. "I'm fine."
He patted her head, and Kanao shyly lowered her gaze, blushing but not resisting. Instead, she seemed to enjoy the gesture.
Watching from the sidelines, Shinobu Kocho felt her eye twitch.
She had been captivated by Kanao's earlier display of swordsmanship, clearly influenced by Ren's guidance. But now, seeing her precious protégé so close to Ren, Shinobu couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy.
What's going on?
When did my sister get so close to him?
And Ren wasn't just stealing Kanao's attention. Even the staff of the Butterfly Mansion seemed drawn to him.
Shinobu forced a smile, her tone laced with hidden irritation.
"Ahem. Mr. Ren, you're certainly… popular here."
Ren and Kanao turned to her in unison.
Kanao's cheeks turned redder. "S-Sister! When did you get here?"
