Chapter 127: {[Dragonfire Demon King (SS-Rank)]} Title
Cassius contemplated his options. If he entered the Gate, he would definitely encounter the Demon Kings. His death was certain, but if he could survive fifteen deaths—which was the current limit of his S- Rank 'Supreme Nirvana Rebirth' Skill—and become strong enough, he would defeat them.
However, the question remained: would fifteen deaths be enough for him to become stronger than they were? What if they were not that emotionally charged in reaction to his feats or provocations?
Glancing at Hellion, Cassius asked, "Relative to how much more powerful you were than I was when we first met, what would be the difference between me and—"
"Insurmountably larger," Hellion stated matter-of-factly. "The SS-Rank is no joke, and I wasn't even considered to be of the S-Rank before I gave up my Demonic Essence to you. By my speculations, your current strength is somewhere around the absolute bottom of the S-Rank. Facing the 72nd Demon King, you will be like an ant going up against a mountain. You will die thousands of times in an instant if he so willed it, meaning that whatever trick you used against me will not work unless you can revive infinitely."
"Can you revive infinitely…?" she asked, serious.
"No…" Cassius answered truthfully, feeling rather reluctant to pass up on this opportunity.
Then again, it was only for now.
With what he gained from this expedition, he would surely come back with several times more power. Especially when he now had the different segments of the Fundamental Body Refinement Manual and the Fiendish Demon King Arts, which were one rank higher than the Body Refinement Manual.
"Let us temporarily leave HELL then," Cassius said as he turned around and beckoned the Gates of HELL to close.
The hellish scenery inside was quickly barred from view, leaving several important demonic figures in a complex mood. Yet they knew not to grow impatient; that human-turned-Demon King would certainly return. And when he did, they would let him experience true Hell on Earth. Discover exclusive content at empire
Hellion silently agreed with Cassius's decision. A part of her had expected the young man to be rash and rush in headfirst, but it was a good thing that did not happen.
'Cassius… His fate is one that even I cannot see through… My eyes, even now, after everything has been stolen from me, are still able to glimpse into the futures of beings beyond the SSS-Rank, like Lucifer. But Cassius… his fate weaves out a story too much for my sight to handle… It is unprecedented…'
Hellion's thoughts rang out inside her head as she quietly observed the rapidly flashing surroundings that passed them by.
While making their way toward the hidden portal that led Cassius into this subdimension, a number of system notifications sounded out, informing him of a few things:
*Ding!*
[Would you like to combine the 'SS-Rank 73rd Demon King of HELL' and 'A- Dragonfire Advent' Titles?] - [Y/N]
Cassius clicked Yes.
A bright light flashed.
['SS-Rank 73rd Demon King of HELL' + 'A- Dragonfire Advent' = 'SS-Rank Dragonfire Demon King' Title]
'The rank of the Title didn't improve, but that is to be expected when the second Title was of a much lower rank than the first,' thought Cassius as he pulled up the Title's relevant details.
{[Dragonfire Demon King (SS-Rank)]}
—[The first of his kind. A mix between a Demon King and a Dragon.]
{[Effect 1: 'Demon Dragon' - (User receives the 'SS-Rank Demon Dragon Bloodline' at 0.001% integration rate. To progress, the User must practice the 'Demon Dragon Integration Arts.')]}
{[Effect 2: 'Demon Dragon Integration Arts' - (An SS-Rank Booklet describing what a Demon Dragon needs to do to further progress his Bloodline integration rate.)]}
{[Effect 3: 'Flame Invincibility' - (Ordinary Universal Flames and Fires no longer affect the User. Also immune to most basic attacks produced by other elements.)]}
{[Effect 4: 'Dragon Quasar' - (Unleash a conflagration of hyper-condensed and extremely deadly Dragon flames at will. Takes upon the Elements of Fire, Explosion, Demonic, Evil, Dragon, Plasma, and Destruction. S+++ Rank Skill.)]}
{[Effect 5: 'Demon Dragon Transformation' - (Can switch between 'Full Dragon Form,' 'Humanoid Dragon Form,' and 'Original Form' at will.)]}
Cassius was very impressed with what he glimpsed from his new Title. He was also pleased to see a similar Effect to #5 for his Oracle Sphinx Bloodline as well, meaning that he could choose between which form he wished to take. Conversely, he could choose to be all different forms at once.
'Though, with yet another Technique I have to practice and master, my plate is slowly but surely being filled up,' Cassius thought. 'With all that said, I'll definitely need to divert a lot of the following period of time into practicing all my Techniques. This should both improve my power and get me if not the slightest bit closer to the S-Rank and SS-Rank.'
Those thoughts of his lingered even as he walked through a large portal and vanished from the Trial Gate area of HELL.
—In the same spot Cassius disappeared while on Earth—
An even more handsome, purely Egyptian-like man and woman appeared. Yet, as soon as their images came into view, they vanished once more.
A few miles away.
FWIP!
"This is my home, Hellion," Cassius said while perched atop a rooftop in the dead of night. "I know you are not that kind of Demon, but just for safe measures, you are not to harm, kill, or eat anyone inside. Only humans I designate as enemies can you do with as you will."
Hellion blinked. "I understand."
"Good. Then let us enter; remember, follow my lead and act natural… This isn't the first time I have done something like this—"
As soon as those words left his mouth, something else left through his bedroom window. It was his… school laptop…
On its way down, he could faintly make out explicit scenes of professional men and women doing the nasty.
Hellion's eyes glazed over in curiosity. "So that is the sort of stuff you like. I see…"
For a second, Cassius froze in place. Then he registered the distinct sound of his window glass shattering, urging him to flash forward. A moment later, he was already standing inside his room, where he saw the nerve-wracking sight of an enchantingly beautiful gray-haired girl with slitted draconic eyes.
Though, as of right now, her mesmerizing charm was almost entirely overshadowed by her utterly livid expression.
