Chapter 128: Figuring out Boarding Arrangements
Yimin, like the good dragon she was, had been patiently waiting for her master to return home. Her tail had been wagging for hours on end as she seemed to be in her own little world. Even with the occasional presence of the other girls, she remained blissfully oblivious to all that was going on around her.
That was until she became a little bit bored a few minutes ago and coincidentally saw a metallic doohickey on a desk. She opened it up, guessed the complicated password right on the first try, and was then flash-banged by a man going at it with a pretty naked girl. An iconic orange-and-black symbol hung above the website's UI.
The laptop was then promptly thrown out the window, attracting the attention of not only the recently arrived pair but also of the girls currently playing a board game downstairs.
With thuds against steps quickly moving upward, Cassius had to act fast. First, he used a C-Rank Repair Skill to repair the broken window, then he teleported the cracked laptop into his room and repaired it as well. After which, he moved like a spectral being and went to stop the eruption of rage that could potentially demolish the whole neighborhood.
Yet, in the same moment Cassius clasped Yimin's pinkish lips and injected a soothing remedy, the door to his room was whacked open. This disturbance gave the perfect opportunity she needed to slip out of his loose grasp and bite him on the hand.
Experience tales at empire
One thing led to another, and Cassius was pushed over, then the two tumbled and rolled. The fierce Yimin lay sprawled out below him.
Though, when she felt a large, rough hand press against her right breast, her surging anger was greatly alleviated.
'...This situation… Sh*t…'
Even with Cassius's stupidly ridiculous speed, there was nothing he could do that could possibly turn back time. The damage had already been done.
Slowly, he turned his head up, only to see five uniquely gorgeous women show signs of surprise, then anger.
"Cassius… You… You lecherous bastard!!"
It was fair to say that he received quite the earful from that point onward. It was even to the point that only after an hour passed did everyone calm down enough for him to explain the situation.
The entire time, Hellion was just sitting in the background and enjoying the show while recuperating. Yet, even though she was enjoying the drama, she failed to emulate any of the emotions she was feeling on her face. For her, emotions were tough.
Aya, on the other hand, was very open about her emotions.
At least when it came to violent emotions…
"Cassius, I just can't believe you! Humph!" she snorted. "Last time, you came back with that gray-haired woman, and now you brought back this dark-skinned Egyptian woman? Are you trying to start a harem or something?? And where are these women even coming from??"
First, it was Memphis, then Stella and that infuriating gray-haired woman, and now it was an Egyptian beauty! Her frustrations were not unfounded!
"Well…" Under the intense stares of everyone in the room, including his stepmother, Cassius didn't really know what to say. "...One thing led to another—"
"That is a terrible excuse, you idiot!" shouted Aya, her cheeks filled with air.
"Now, now, Aya, my dear daughter, perhaps Cassius really did just have some unique encounters and felt obligated to help these girls," Sasha interjected, her expression friendly but her tone saying otherwise.
She was slightly annoyed by all these new girls as well, but she did a far better job at sweeping her annoyances under the rug than her daughter.
Getting back to the matter at hand, Sasha said, "But Ara Ara, with so many new tenants, we don't have much room left in the house. And we can't exactly have girls sleeping in the same room as our… 'adventurous' Cassius, now can we?"
If only she knew that all of them were already sneaking into his bed every night…
"What are we to do about this?"
Stella and Memphis hadn't felt it appropriate for them to speak up before, as they were part of the problem. But now that it came down to this question, they had no choice but to voice their opinions:
"I-If there is not enough room, then I can contact my uncle… Even if… Even if he treats me like that, I'll find a way to manage," Memphis murmured.
"Neither do I wish to impose… I can get out of everyone's hair if… if that's what you want," Stella added, her ahoge hairs drooping.
Everyone suddenly felt bad, especially Cassius and Sasha.
Sighing, Sasha proposed an alternative. "Perhaps we should move out? I have been thinking of increasing our living space for a while now, but the costs are… substantial. Even with our savings, I doubt we'll have enough. Furthermore, I haven't even informed my husband of all of you moving in. It will surely surprise him, and might even leave me with no choice but to evict you. Let alone agreeing to upsizing, just getting him to accept the existence of you girls is… Haiz…"
"Hmm…"
Cassius himself was pondering this complicated matter.
After selling countless Magic Shards under an anonymous identity, he had amassed hundreds of thousands of USD, which was more than enough to buy a luxurious house in Japan. However, how was he to tell Aya and Sasha about this sudden influx of wealth?
They knew very well what type of job he worked at. That also meant they knew hundreds of thousands of USD was impossible to come by unless he slaved away for an entire lifetime.
'Maybe I should just say I won the lottery or something? I can fabricate a ticket with my A-Rank 'Minor Creation' Skill right here and now.'
Ultimately, Cassius decided he'd do just that. And without wasting any more of anyone's brain processing power, he took out a genuine lottery ticket and let it 'slip' out of his hands onto the floor.
