'Does that Stella b*tch have no shame!?' Bella, the 20'ish year-old groomer vampire, shouted inside her mind. 'And that Aya stepsister-thieving whore is obviously embarrassed to be around us, so she left ahead of us. Tsk, I expect no less from a measly blood bag that isn't my husband.'

Her expression lightened up a bit when she thought of the oblivious man beside her. She was so ready to dig in!

Hearts swam around inside her eyes while staring at Cassius, with her tangible obsession having long since progressed far past overwhelming.

Cassius, perfectly playing the part of a dense wall, simply looked between the two girls and then toward the blonde-haired beauty slipping through crowds of students. He sighed a little before venturing forward, with the large fancy gates of the high school quickly coming into view.

As the most prestigious high school in Hoshito, Hoshito General High was not located in just one area. For the highly gifted students who graduated from the lower-branching Hoshito General Middle School, they would directly advance from the 1-A Building Complex of Hoshito Middle School to the 1-A Building Complex of Hoshito High School. This was the path that Bella and Aya had taken, whereas Cassius had to later take the Transfer Test to get into the same school complex after his book smart-type intelligence increased because of the System.

Stella, on the other hand, got in through connections and manipulations on Cassius's part. She wasn't much older than 18 anyway, so why not send her to something that she never had the chance to properly participate in? It was quite easy to get her in after flashing a bit of cash.

It was at this point that the whispers among the swathes of students became particularly vocal.

"Who are they…?"

"I have no idea who the man and the silver-haired woman are, but the one who left their group was one of the prettiest girls in school, Aya! And the sparkly-eyed one standing close to that… man… is Bella, one of the Three Belles of the School!"

"Really?? I'm a Freshman, so I had no idea those good-looking girls were so popular. But what about the man? He looks better than most models I've seen, so do you know who he is? He's also wearing our school's uniform."

"...Him?" The young man scoffed. "I have no clue who he is, but he has a lot of balls being so close to two of the school's beauties!" He said the last part just loud enough for Cassius and his group to hear.

"Hmm…?"

Cassius's striking blue eyes traced the source of the boisterous voice, and when they locked on to the young male student, the student involuntarily shivered in place. The student wanted to lash out in anger but could not even do that. Even his moderately handsome appearance was quickly drenched in sweat, same as with the rest of his body.

Realizing what he was doing, Cassius looked away from the young man. He kept on forgetting about his menacing presence. Even with his killing intent being constantly dampened by him, there was nothing he could do about his demeanor.

"It's only Day 1 and you're already bullying people," Bella mocked from the side. "Just look at that poor guy; he seems like he's on the verge of pissing his breeches!" She spoke the last few words just loud enough that every student in the vicinity could hear what she said.

The young man's mouth swung open as his cheeks flushed red in embarrassment and anger. He couldn't believe that the girl he has liked since junior year was speaking to him in such a way, and all for the sake of some unknown loser.

It was infuriating!

But what could he do?

It was with a begrudged heart that the young man clenched his fists and retreated from the scene. Until he was a good distance out of view, he not once turned his head up.

But deep down, he would remember this shameful moment! And he would be back to make sure that his crush and that guy rued the day they messed with him—!

"Hey, it looks like you forgot your purse on your way out!" Bella shouted, concealing a devilish smirk beneath her concerned facade. "Don't you want to come back over and pick it up?"

The young man turned around and saw his fanny pack lying on the ground. It must've fallen off his shoulder just a second ago.

But it wasn't like he could go pick it up now! He already felt like tying a rope around his neck and hanging it on a high tree branch! If he went back over, he might just bang his head against the ground while picking up the fanny pack to make his death come quicker…!

"Well?" Bella repeated. "Are you not going to retrieve your purse?"

Dozens of students wearing the same uniform all turned their heads in the young man's direction. They were invested in this development. Though, from his perspective, it felt like the whole world was against him.

'J-Just you wait, you bastards! Just wait until I get my revenge!' the young man screamed out inside his head as he fled from the scene, with sparkling crystalline tears trailing off behind him. 'And it's not a purse, damnit! It's a manly, combat-ready, accessorised fanny pack!!'

"..." "..." "..."

Students exchanged glances with one another after they watched a senior escape in shame. He hadn't even retrieved his belongings…

Bella, on the other hand, proudly stuck her nose up and furtively glanced at her hubby for praise.

She did a good job, didn't she??

She felt that deserved a petting session just like what the cutsie b*tches got! Gimme, gimme, she begged!

"???"

Cassius looked down at the pleading universe-like eyes of the black-haired girl before him. He wondered what it was she wanted, utterly oblivious to the obvious hints she was giving.

'Hmm… Perhaps she's in heat?'

That was the only thing he could think of, and his response to this realization was a subtle hand wave of rejection. He hoped this would make his intentions clear.

Bella's imaginary black cat ears drooped in sadness as her once bubbly aura turned gloomy.

Now Cassius was even more confused. And as he, her, and Stella walked through the open gates of the high school, he realized what the problem was.

Seeing as he was a man of action, he acted on his realization right away!
