Chapter 159: Leon's Thoughts
Somewhere, very far away, in an entirely different Dimension, a middle-aged pale-faced man with red glowing eyes coughed up a large blot of blood and collapsed into his eerie throne. A divinely beautiful pale-faced woman who was in the same area also keeled over and felt extreme chest pain.
The two Vampires protecting their Young Miss also felt something gnaw away at their insides, especially for Leon.
Even further in the background, the Gremlin Exterrestrial Fiend tasked with neutrally surveilling 'its' son at all times momentarily looked at the ridiculous pair of vampires. It had known about their presences for a long while now, but seeing as they were yucky cold zombies, it tried its best to ignore their existences. Furthermore, anything that wasn't its target had nothing to do with it.
And seeing as the Alien's camouflage was much better than whatever the Vampires were using to stay hidden, it worried not about being found out. Like usual, it simply stood back and watched expressionlessly.
Leon, however, had sinister ideas swirling around inside his head. He had been mulling over a way to covertly erase the audacious human from the picture for a while now, and he finally figured out something he could do.
The eyesore would be gone for good if he could successfully pull his plan off.
'The Gate of World's End… I recall the Elders speaking about it a few hundred years ago. And now that it has finally appeared in the Trial Area of the Ascension Tower of Humanity, many things will begin to change,' Leon thought with an evil inward grin. 'Who's to say that in the immense chaos brought about from all this change, an insignificant human worm won't go missing? Many things can happen in times when Floors of the Ascension Tower undergo their Rite to Remain.'
With a solid plan forming within his mind, Leon stared at his gorgeous Young Miss, already imagining how his life with her would be after the worm was squashed. It would be blissful! Like a fairytale in real life!
With various mystical beings having their own thoughts in mind, Cassius, a once overweight, cowardly, and hideous human being, was wondering how he should begin his next training regimen.
He had quite a few techniques, ya know? There were the Three Sections of the Fundamental Body Refinement Manual, the Demon Dragon Integration Arts, the Fiendish Demon King Arts, and now the Sword God's Training Manual!
Every single one of these was very difficult to progress in, to boot. None gave Cassius an easy time, and all of them were painful as all high hell. Especially the Sword God's Training Manual.
However, along with various levels of excruciating pain came several significant boosts. For example, as he just advanced to the 5th Layer for all three segments of the Fundamental Body Refinement Manual, he received 3,000 Stat Points in all of his Main Attributes. Furthermore, he learned a little more of the Path to Immortality—secrets that normally even those beyond the SSS-Rank would not have access to.
Only the most powerful beings in the Ascension Tower, such as the Top 5 Demon Kings and the Originator Ancestors of the other Dimensions, were privy to the Truth of Immortality and Immortals. Though, even for them, Immortals were like Children's Fairy Tales.
Nonetheless, not only had Cassius been progressing his Fundamental Body Refinement Manual, but he had also been working on the Fiendish Demon King Arts and his Demon Dragon Integration Rate. The former had already taken him straight to the Early Greater Demon King stage, making him stronger than most S-Rank organisms with just his Demon King Bloodline alone.
Similarly, his Demon Dragon Integration Arts advanced from just under 2% to over 20% in the past month!
Give it a few more months and Cassius might just be able to achieve everything that a genuine Demon Dragon had to offer! Just imagining the improvements that would be made to his power was enough to make him drool in anticipation!
Lastly, there was the Sword God's Training Manual.
It was without question the most taxing Technique Cassius had to practice, but it was also the one that benefited him the most. In fact, the only apparent downside it had was that harming himself while imagining and/or practicing the motions of the Manual made only his Strength Stat increase. And with almost all of his AP going into Agility, his other three Main Attributes were neglected.
He wasn't sure how to solve the issue yet, but with all his stats — including the benefits from the Fundamental Training Manual — sitting well above S+ Rank, he didn't worry too much about it. What mattered more to him was finding a way to push his Speed even higher.
He had to go faster! He had to be the fastest!
Perhaps Cassius had developed a little case of OCD when it came to acquiring Speed… Just maybe…

*Step, Step, Step.*
As Cassius, Stella, Aya, and Bella strolled through the streets of Hoshito, they began to near Hoshito General High. It was only then that they received even more stares than usual. When a group of young people as good-looking as them walked side by side, others were bound to gawk, with this only becoming worse the closer the gawkers were to their age.
Aya uncomfortably fidgeted, her clear ocean blue eyes erratically darting all over the place. She seemed to be worried about something. And when she could no longer take it anymore, she scurried away from the other three.
They looked at her weirdly, but by then, she was already long gone.
"Where did she head off to?" asked Stella, her irises shining in curiosity. "Did she have to use the washroom?"
Bella glanced at the silverish-haired woman as if she were looking at an idiot, with her disdain becoming even greater than when she first saw this shameless 20-something-year-old floozy wear their school uniform. Cassius even managed to get her a new identity that would allow her to attend the same school as them!
Just how shameless could one person possibly be!?
