Infinite Evolution: My Idle Evolution System

Chapter 170: Who cares about Consent??

The Vampire Duke felt an itch urging him to just give in and let his daughter do whatever she wished. But when the smug face of that womanizing bastard friend of his flashed through his mind, he once again returned to being torn between anger and dread.

What Alaric had failed to remind himself of when thinking of Adam was the true reason why he abhorred the cocky c*nt so much.

All those years ago, following the conclusion of the Yggdrasil Tournament, Alaric returned to Nightingale in defeat. Even the other Vampire Dukes and a couple of lower-ranking Vampire Nobles had made it further than the Top 90. Yet he fell so short of expectations…

Mortified was an understatement for what he felt.

However, in the midst of his seemingly never-ending shame, a shining star brightened up his dreary life.

It came in the form of his wife—Carmilla Crestmore!

She, who was the glamorous daughter of a Vampire Marquis, was not someone Alaric originally planned to marry. In fact, marriage wasn't even supposed to be in the cards for his lonely self.

But when he first saw Carmilla, he knew right then and there that she was the one for him! His antiquated hips would finally be getting some action!!

And that was around when his 'friend' came by to visit him.

Adam strutted through Nightingale like he owned the place, ascended to the 6th Floor, and barged into his home at the exact moment he managed to invite Carmilla over for a meal. Then, without a single care in the world for anything, that perverted bastard flirted with Carmilla as soon as he saw her! Right in front of him, no less!!

Because of that incident, for nearly a decade, Carmilla talked non-stop about that sly sh*t fck!

Alaric couldn't understand how, even though Carmilla and Adam only spoke to each other for a brief period of time, she could become so enamored by him… It didn't make any sense!

If not for the fact that Adam quickly realized what his best buddy Alaric was gunning for and backed off, the Vampire Duke swore he would've written Adam's name in his Death Note! And the name would've been written in his blood!!

Over time, however, the both of them forgot all about that small incident.

But when the big bastard's little bastard of a son came into the picture, Alaric was immediately reminded of the inexplicable genes of the infamous womanizer.

He was beginning to believe that the father and son duo were not humans and were instead Incubi!

An extremely complicated and ancient sigh echoed through the spacious halls of a bright throne room interior as Alaric's limbs turned limp. He turned to look up at the roof as if something interesting were up there. Then, with a hoarse voice teetering on the verge of collapse, he replied to his daughter's deranged urgings:

"I'll make sure to tie the boy down for you… As long as he doesn't escape to another Dimension or something beforehand, there'll be no chance he can resist me…"

Bella's dark, obsessive pupils suddenly returned to normal as she jumped up and down in joy before leaping at the tired old man.

"Thank you so much, Daddy~! He'll finally be mine!! And I'll be able to kill those whores!!"

Alaric could only helplessly nod, with the pessimistic side of him wondering if this would be the last hug he'd ever receive from his little girl.

Carmilla softly chortled before stretching out her arms.

"Where's my hug at, Bella dear?" she asked while knowing full well how annoyed this would make her husband feel.

And just as she expected, the moment Bella switched sides and entered her mother's embrace, the Vampire Duke lost the last bit of color in his eyes. He slumped further into his throne and inaudibly mumbled to himself, seemingly talking about how unfair life was.

"Fufu~" Carmilla giggled aloud while thinking, 'I'm curious to see just what sort of fun that flirtatious man's son will bring into our boring immortal lives. I really can't wait…'

While Alaric was contemplating how many stories he would need to ascend and jump off of to unalive himself, his playful wife was already imagining future trouble… To be precise, she was anticipating it…

As the seconds turned into minutes and the clock of time churned in a never-ending cycle, the school day passed fleetingly on Earth.

Stella had been sticking close to Cassius the entire day. Even when the lazy Miss Violet actually started teaching, she pulled her desk next to his.

Because of Stella's sudden forwardness, Flora was unable to make any moves on her target, but that didn't mean she hadn't been constantly thinking about what she would do when the opportunity presented itself. It was all merely a matter of time; she firmly believed that the silver-haired bimbo would eventually slip up.

Aya, on the other hand, had barely listened to any of her lectures. She got most of the same Classes as Cassius, and during that time, she racked her mind for the best way that she should go about apologizing to him. Leaving him like that wasn't something she even really wanted to do…

And when she secretly observed his match with Arthur and Alex, she finally realized just how much she wanted to be cheering him on alongside Stella.

Hell with her so-called friends! And screw what people thought about her! She wanted to stand by Cassius's side!

"I wish I had never walked away from you like I was ashamed to be beside you… And even though we're siblings and Alabama and stuff… I… I… L... Love you…!" Aya blurted out in front of a bathroom mirror with full seriousness, yet became flustered the very next second.

"Y-Yes, that's what I'll say to him! Well, maybe… maybe not the last part, but the rest for sure!"

With a resolute gleam in her clear blue eyes, Aya walked out of a girl's restroom on the 1st Floor of Hoshito General High.

Yet, in the very next moment, she heard the voice that she had been wanting to hear all day. Just not in the way she expected…
