"I said it once before, but you really do talk too much."

Necro had flashed beside Ashtar, using his transformed root arm to effortlessly cleave off one of the Demon Royal's wings.

"Argghh!!!" Ashtar was enraged beyond measure.

As he plummeted to the earth, his huge body exploded with bright red flames, and when he crashed, everything around him was razed.

"I SWEAR I'LL KILL YOU!!!"

He leapt back up to the heavens, his power exceeding the 8th Layer of Foundation Establishment!

It only cost him his… Lifeforce.

Necro apathetically looked down at the figure rocketing toward him. In his mind, he had already solidified this battle as one that he had to win no matter what it took.

Meanwhile, in the place that he was doing his best to protect, several important people shifted their gazes to the explosions zipping through the distant skies. They were the City Lord, Captain of the City Guard, Head of the Monster Chasers Family, as well as the lovely little Miss Su Yu.

"Did that young lad save you as well?" The City Lord voiced this question to Shao Yao, to which she nodded. This answer made the City Lord conflicted.

"To think he became so strong so quickly… I wonder just whose family this heavenly genius is a part of…"

Su Yu was particularly affected by Necro's extreme level of strength and talent. The difference between them would surely only become larger and larger with time.

Her heart constricted at the thought of him permanently leaving her behind one day to pursue greater heights…

With Necro's tremendous assistance, the matter of the Beast Tide had all but been completely settled. He took care of the Foundation Establishment Realm Monsters, while the City Lord and the rest eradicated what remained.

Now there was only one fight that anyone important was focused on right now.

"You damn human tree freak, why won't you just die!??"

Ashtar was doing everything in his power to destroy Necro, and it worked several times. But as a Dryad, it was not so easy to erase him. Even the flames of Hell barely slowed the monstrous boy down.

SHA! SHA!

Necro shot out three dozen |Death Piercers|, forcing Ashtar to either dodge, parry, or defend against the Gatling-spray-like barrage. This gave Necro the opportunity he needed to close the distance between them. And in Ashtar's worn-down state, he failed to properly protect himself against the high physical prowess of the |Colossal Elephant| Bloodline.

"Kuk!!"

Blood flew out of Ashtar's mouth as his massive fifty-meter-tall body slammed into a mountain. The peak of the mountain exploded, with the Demon Royal being subsequently buried underneath thousands of tons of rubble.

He was both exhausted and running low on energy. The amount of Lifeforce he could viably use was also on the sharp decline, nearing its limits.

'Tell me that human fucker has at least had his momentum slowed down—'

Contrary to Ashtar's optimistic thoughts, Necro was flapping his wings in the air above without even a change in his heartbeat. This was where the Demon Royal's logical line of reasoning deviated from how the anomaly operated, for Necro had Eternal-ranked Spiritual Roots. Moreover, there was his descended Bloodline of a Genuine World Tree.

These two factors made it nigh impossible for Necro to ever run out of energy or stamina. After all, even right now, while embroiled in a life-and-death fight, Spiritual Energy passively swarmed toward him.

Judging by the abrupt change in Ashtar's expression, he just noticed the abnormalities centered around Necro. And for the first time in his long life, the Demon Prince felt a sense of urgency like no other.

'I have to kill him now!!'

He blasted upward, infusing his all into a single catastrophic attack that even 9th Layer Foundation Establishment Experts would run away from.

Necro scrutinized the immense power contained in Ashtar's treasured sword. It didn't require more than a nanosecond for him to realize that blocking such an attack was not possible.

So what did he do in response to certain doom?

He floated there, not moving an inch from his spot.

Ashtar crazily grinned at this development, for he believed the human freak had finally given up. But did the Demon Prince go softer with his attack in spite of this information? Of course not!

"This is the strongest attack of my life!!"

Ashtar roared, an illusory demonic dragon materializing around him as he shot toward Necro like a bullet.

"Take it and DIE!!!"

KA-BOOOOM!

When this world-shaking explosion went off, those in River Mountain City felt time come to a standstill. Everyone was staring at the hellish aftermath of the explosion, most even afraid to blink.

"Do you think that little savior survived…?" a commoner asked.

"We can only hope…"

"He saved both me and my two daughters. I'm praying with all my heart that he comes out of this unscathed and victorious."

There were many in River Mountain City who had been saved by Necro in some way or another. And right now, they were all overcome with trepidation while waiting for the residual explosive energies to subside.

It didn't take long for this exact thing to happen. When it did, the circulation of Nitrogen and Oxygen halted for many.

"Is Necro—..."

Before Su Yu's eyes could water further, something totally unexpected occurred.

SHING—!

"W-What!?"

Ashtar raised his arms to protect himself, but the sharpness of an enlarged wooden arm easily pierced through his weakened defenses. Both of his arms were sliced off, yet that wasn't the end of it…

Necro unleashed a hailstorm of giant deadly spears onto the huge Demon Prince. Although he was large and his skin tough, |Death Piercers| possessed several corrosive effects. And with Ashtar's defenses as weak as they were, he couldn't fend off even half of the spears.

SPURT! SPURT! SPURT!

On almost every part of Ashtar, a |Death Piercer| found its mark. Those |Death Piercers| got to work right away, eroding the Demon Prince's skin at a terrifying rate. His regenerative qualities couldn't keep up.
