Chapter 647: Lack of news
"We are heading to the underwater kingdom," Rain said when he passed the report to Seara. "I am going ahead first, and you two will head to the capital and then talk with Branden and Esmeralda and tell them that they will have to guard the southern coast for a while."
"We are ready to go. Should we leave the kids in the capital?" Seara readily said.
"No, we will keep them with us," Rain said.
Despite the clear dangers, Rain's wives acknowledged that their presence could significantly bolster his abilities. The strong determination he exhibited after taking the Greedy Vow had infused him with a newfound confidence that inspired bold decisions as well.
They realized that Rain's determination to protect his loved ones outweighed the risks they faced, making this a calculated gamble to harness his newfound powers. The safety and security of their children remained their top priority, and they trusted Rain's judgment and abilities to ensure their well-being in that mission.
"... What should we tell them?" Terra asked.
"I would say that they should send all forces in order not to give the dragons any openings, but that will be up to them," Rain shrugged and then passed the bow to Terra. "You can give this to Asche, it should be useful in her hands."
Terra nodded… sending the bow from the capital to her sister would be a bit faster, so that was another reason to head there, even though she couldn't help but imagine that Rain would have the excuse to do crazy things while they weren't away.
In the end, Rain left the area when his wives and kids headed to the capital… while he was flying, Rain couldn't help compare that moment in the history of the world was another important moment of change.
It was similar to when the giant monsters threatened the world with their existence… many people thought that they were creatures that were born and evolved naturally, but Rain knew tjat if wasn't possible. Even more so after he found those two places guarded by that hooded figure that could teleport.
"I don't know why those things appeared in the past, but I can only guess that something happened, something important that forced them to appear…" Rain thought. "Something similar is happening now and I can only imagine that all the cause of this is me."
Maybe Rain was thinking too much about that since he didn't find signs of things like fate or destiny, but he couldn't help but think that the things that he did affected the world too much… Perhaps the humans supposedly had to lose against the magic people before.
Branden was also important for that outcome, but Rain also believed that things would have been difficult if he hadn't killed those two generals. Perhaps the humans wouldn't have lost, but they would have been weakened quite a bit…
"Is it fine to think like this?" Rain thought. "I don't want to blame abstract concepts such as fate and destiny for this situation, but it is a fact that I shouldn't be here."

Rain was a human from Earth, he was essentially an alien that was living there… an alien spirit in that world. He was anomaly… the guy who was supposed to be in that body without his memories wouldn't have done much. It was really troublesome to think like that…
In any case, Rain focused on the mission ahead when he realized that the temperature was dropping and the clouds in the distance weren't moving.
"The winter isn't coming… I am going to the winter," Rain thought. "This doesn't make any sense… speaking of which, if a sea emperor in the past was able to drown a good part of the world with magic, I wonder if ice dragons can freeze all of it as well… I find it hard to believe that the fire dragons and its variants won't like that very much."
Rain couldn't help but furrow his brows as he descended onto the port town. He was met with an unusual and unexpected sight. The place was already blanketed in a few centimeters of snow, which was highly unusual for this region of the country. Normally, this part of the country experienced predominantly sunny weather throughout most of the year, with rain being the primary form of precipitation.
Seeing the town covered in snow at this time was indeed perplexing.
In any case, Rain dashed toward Orcis residence and he found a lot of soldiers coming and going from the port. There were a bunch of tents around Orcis house as well… the guys there were having a hard time since they weren't used to the cold and wearing armor without leather was like hell.
"My lord has been waiting for you," Julie said guarding the entrance of the residence.
"He sure has a lot of faith in me… what about Jori and Reca?" Rain asked.
"They should arrive soon, they already sent the world that they are on the way," Julie said.
Julie guided Rain to Orcis office and Rain realized that she looked pretty tired. It seemed that she was working extra hours since the actions of the dragons were making a lot of people lose sleep.
When they arrived at the office, Rain found Orcis and Lorene and while it was afternoon, it seemed that Lorene was still wearing something like a sleeping dress… probably because she was pregnant as well, since her tummy was a bit big.
"My… it seems that I showed you something weird, Rain," Lorene said.
"No problem," Rain said. "It would have been weird if I had seen Orcis wearing that. Anyway, is that something common in this country to hide pregnancy as much as possible for as long as possible?"
"We apologize for that, but I guess we don't have time for celebrating yet," Orcis said. "We don't receive news from the sea folk for over three days. We need to confirm their situation."
